    Hot Lobster Roll: $30
    Kao V.

Located inside the MGM Casino food court, it's easily spotted as it's front and center. The menu is super simple as it only has a handful of items to choose from: hot / cold lobster rolls, fries, coleslaw, and drinks. We purchased the hot lobster roll. It was drenched in butter. The bottom of the paper bowl was soaked in it. The lobster was overcooked and flavorless. A bit of seasoning would gone a long way. My lips were coated with melted butter. It came with a side of fries which was lightly salted and crispy. The coleslaw was also lightly seasoned and sweet. Oh man, the star dish was so disappointing. For $30 a pop, I was expecting more. I should have checked reviews first. The service was ok. They took your name down and shouted it when your food was ready. It's in a food court style so seating was first come, first serve. The table we sat at was not wiped down. It had crumbs of fries and salt on it.

Located in the MGM Springfield food court, Jack's Lobster Shack is surprisingly good for a food court restaurant. To untangle, I ordered a hot lobster roll with fries and it was respectable. With that being said, the roll was shockingly fresh and toasted well. Likewise, the lobster was tender and it tasted like fresh lobster. My only problems with the lobster roll was the lack of butter and the size. To clarify, the lobster roll was quite small and it needed more butter to enhance the taste. On the flip side, the fries were generic frozen fries, but at least they were crispy and seasoned nicely. In the long run, Jack's Lobster Shack is a decent food court restaurant with solid lobster rolls.

Enjoyed the scallops and shrimp. I am not a fan of cod fish but Jacks cooked it crispy enough for me to enjoy. The coleslaw was delicious and the service was good!!!

Pretty nice little shack, if you are looking for delicious seafood while you enjoy your experience at the MGM casino this place is pretty good. We ordered the lobster bisque and fish and chips. Every bite had lots of fish and very piece was phenomenal. The interaction with the staff was minimal because there was a lot people but the staff was really friendly and welcoming and the food was very tasty. Check them out. They do also have a 50% discount promo for seniors on certain days!

I don't typically like going to the casino, but I was there earlier this week. I got really hungry, given that it was Tuesday several dining options were closed. I decided to go with Jack's Lobster Shack, since it looked to be the shortest line. Jack's Lobster Shack is a food stand at the food court at MGM in Springfield. I didn't have high expectations of this place since we're not exactly anywhere near the water where the seafood could potentially be fresh. I ordered the Fisherman's Platter to share, and their New England Clam Chowder. The wait was very long and slow moving. Nothing is fresh about the food here, but they also don't claim to be. I saw them with bags of frozen fries, shrimp, clams, thrown over sizzling oil. I also saw a little mouse running from under a corner of a bench to another corner. I notified a man working at the Shack, who appeared to be a manager. He said "I'll let them know." Not sure who he referred to. I was turned off from my food when I saw this. I'll note the clam chowder was pretty good, but very hot. The rest of the food was very fried, flavorless, bland and greasy. I just wanted to get out of there. If there's one mouse, there might as well be more. I hope they do something about this issue. I won't be returning for sure.

What a great place to grab a bite! Food was hot and prepared within your view! And especially the Cashier who was so personable and helpful!!! All I can say she was dark skinned under that mask and happy eyes! But also the other staff members were just as helpful and friendly. I plan on going there again

What a great place for a late night lobster roll! We prefer hot lobster rolls and this one was pretty good! They stay open later at night to make sure the late night gamblers have some good food.

Now mostly with casinos you typically don't think of quick seafood & quality in one spot but at MGM Springfield this changes things tremendously. Now they have numerous options for your seafood taste & now when I selected here I decided the lobster roll & mine was worth every penny I spent (also if you choose anything else here you won't regret it) & you can get even beer/alcoholic beverages/soft drinks too. Now if this ends up being a first to review here to me so be it but if another person comes, dines & finds it useful then I did my part to spread the word out.

We were looking for something light around mid-day so we would still be hungry at dinner time. We decided to split a Cold Lobster Roll ($19) along with some Onion Rings ($4). The lobster roll was very good. The meat was sweet and tasty. Even the roll had good flavor. It also came with cold slaw that had real mayonnaise in it. The rings were average, but at least has real onion rings inside.

This is sufficient. I was craving lobsters and i gobbled this one up. But is it good? I mean if you are realllly craving it and am begging begging begging for some lobby poos, sure. It's aight But if you are looking for something good, this is a hard pass. See you next time on my cutie blooooggy poooo!

He was pretty excited. We went on a Monday and there were only a few other people there. Major first issue, they no longer serve the boiled lobster that is front and center on their menu... only the lobster TALES for $41!! The menus are paper and could easily be marked to show they don't sell it... or at the very least the server could MENTION that it's not available when she brings the menus. I asked twice if the $41 was the price for JUST the lobster and she said that it was, so we ordered additional sides. The menu was unusual... SOME spicy seafood items mixed in with stuff you'd only ever see on a menu in an Asian Restaurant. Fried dumplings, crab rangoon... and the $14 "Cajun Spicy Rice w/Shrimp" was literally a bowl of Asian fried rice with shrimp, not the least bit spicy OR Cajun. The woman that seated and served us was absolutely FLAT in her demeanor. Everyone is human and people have bad days, but she didn't smile a single time. I told her we were celebrating his birthday and she didn't even NOD in acknowledgment, just stood silently waiting for us to order... it was awkward. We felt like we were putting her out, like she had somewhere else to be and couldn't be bothered. They cover the table with a piece of brown paper, but the areas it doesn't reach were sticky like old kitchen grease. They bring the absolutely cheapest plastic utensils, the forks were so flimsy that we had trouble getting the meat out of the shell with them and finally had to ask if they had any metal ones. (They did, which begs the question, why don't they bring them to start?) They don't bring a nut cracker or a pick either, or even a table knife. It was a pretty messy meal. The lobster tails INCLUDED corn on the cob and potatoes, so we ended up with enough food for an entire second meal. In terms of the meal itself, it was pretty good. The Cajun fries were great, the onion rings too. I had some of the best fried whole clams and scallops of my life. The fried dumplings were also spectacular, though they don't offer dumpling sauce, only packets of soy sauce. The Cajun Rice was meh... it was disappointing for $14 and really hard to eat with the tiny plastic fork. The bill came to $104 before tip. Crazy that those prices don't justify real tableware. We'll definitely try it at least once more (maybe as takeout)... hopefully there will be a new server or she'll be in a better mood.

This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

We walked up to a casual outdoor seating area with picnic tables set alongside the road, giving it the laid back atmosphere of a New England seafood shack where the focus is entirely on generous portions and classic seafood favorites rather than anything overly polished. The setup is simple and relaxed, making it an easy stop for a casual lunch or dinner during the warmer months. The lobster roll is the clear highlight here. The portion was surprisingly large for the price, packed generously and substantial enough to feel like a full meal on its own. The lobster was the star of the sandwich, and the overall value stood out given how expensive lobster rolls have become across Massachusetts. We also ordered the fish and chips, which came with an equally generous portion size, though the fish was a little drier than expected. While it was still satisfying, it lacked some of the moisture and flakiness that would have made it more memorable. What stands out most is the portion to price ratio. Nearly everything coming out of the kitchen is oversized, which helps explain why the restaurant has built such a strong reputation as a destination for seafood in the area. The food leans toward hearty and filling rather than refined, and the experience works best when you arrive hungry and ready for a substantial meal. Service moved efficiently despite the steady crowds, and the casual outdoor setting kept the experience relaxed. For anyone looking for a classic roadside seafood stop in Western Massachusetts, Captain Jack's delivers generous portions, solid seafood, and a lobster roll that easily justifies the visit.

There was a ton of shrimp, 2 pieces of snow crab (1#), some clams and a lobster tail for $80. We added another small lobster for $10 (special). Also ordered 1/2 pound (1 portion) of dungeness crab for added cost. My favorite part was the butter and garlic sauce which was tasty.
