I reached out to Rodent Retreat specifically because they are a local veteran-owned business, not a franchise. The whole team was amazing. I was able to schedule an inspection right away, and the gentleman who came explained different options to humanely remove the raccoon and prevent any other critters (including field mice and roof rats) from getting to the house. Based on the services I selected, they came back several times to repair the eaves, seal up possible points of entry on the roof and around the foundation, set rodent traps in the attic and garage, and sanitize the attic. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly friendly and polite, communication was exceptional, and pricing is very reasonable, especially given the high quality of service. They really went above and beyond. I highly recommend Rodent Retreat!

We feel the amount should have been adjusted to the gravity of the situation in our the attic. We regret paying this much for just a couple of squirrels which, by the way, were not taken away as I had assumed, but only pushed out. They are still running around out backyard and we know it's only a matter of time before they will be back in the attic (or else they would not push for a warranty extension).

    I am very disappointed with my experience with Orkin. My initial service on September 23 cost about…read more$170, but they only treated the outside of my home and did an attic inspection. I rent, so any attic work is ultimately up to my leasing company--but what I really needed was the inside treated. When I asked why the inside wasn't being done, I was told it wasn't necessary because the technician was "so good." Sure enough, bugs started coming inside shortly after. When I called to get follow-up service, I explained (as I had from the start) that any days other than Mondays and Tuesdays don't work for me. Still, they scheduled me on a Wednesday weeks out. By the time my appointment came, the bug problem had gotten worse. Yesterday, I got a confirmation text for today's (October 6) appointment between 12-2pm. This morning, without notice or explanation, my appointment was moved to October 15--over a week later. When I called, the representative couldn't even see my original appointment for today. I've voiced multiple times that I'm not satisfied with the service and I feel like I was rushed into a plan I didn't ask for. I wanted a one-time treatment, not a recurring plan, and now I understand why they push people so fast. The website advertises a satisfaction guarantee, but so far that has not been honored. Overall, my experience has been frustrating, unprofessional, and not worth the money.

Orkin never shows up on time, shows up on the wrong days, or doesn't show up at all. When I called to complain that they never showed up again on their scheduled day, he started being condescending and said, "we're just going to pull that guys truck just for you and pull him in here and fire him for you!" What? I told him he knows very well that's not what I wanted or asked for. He then told me again that he was going to personally fire the person in a super condescending manner, then told me to have a great day and hung up on me! I called to back to corporate to tell them the unbelievable conversation, the very nice woman was blown away. During the time, they finally showed up late with a dog in the car. It's 104 today, and the guy was going to leave his dog in his car with zero shade while servicing our house.
