I could not be happier with my experience at Helen Blakey Flowers. I live in the US and was looking…read moreto have some flowers delivered to my mom for her birthday. I did a quick Yelp search and found a few options - the photos of Helen Blakey's arrangements were most in line with my aesthetic and very reasonably priced for delivery. I ordered the Teleflora's Pretty Pastel Bouquet - Standard and made a quick note in the comments section about what I liked most about the arrangement. The online system was very simple to use (it looks like many florists use the same system) and I placed the order on Mar 10, 3 days in advance of the desired delivery date of Mar 13. I was a little apprehensive about placing an online order with a florist without any verbal/email communication but decided to give it a chance - and am so glad I did! The arrangement my mom received was absolutely stunning and even more beautiful than I expected!! I didn't specify a delivery time - the arrangement was delivered in the afternoon on the day requested. My mom has texted me multiple times about how much she loves the flowers and even said (and I quote): "I think these are the most beautiful flowers I have ever received in my life. The pleasant colours, the aroma, the charming delivery driver, the ribbons on the packaging ..." The arrangement & overall experience brought her so much joy! Helen Blakey Flowers is definitely going to be my go-to Toronto florist now & I may even look into using them for my Toronto wedding next year! THANK YOU to the Helen Blakey team for such a great experience :)

I completed the order process online, which was quick and simple. I requested for the delivery to be made after 4:00PM and the Helen Blakey team did a great job to meet my expectation. In addition to making a note on the delivery card to deliver as "late as possible," the individual that delivered the bouquet asked the security guard of the building to hold on to the bouquet and contact the recipient at a later time than when they actually dropped it off. The flowers were fresh and beautiful. I couldn't be more impressed with my experience and I look forward to placing future orders!

I was on the Danforth last Monday to pick up an order at the Arts Market. Afterwards, I was heading…read moreback to my car when I saw all the pretty plants in front of Natural Florist. It's roughly three doors down from Arts Market, on the northeast corner of Glebemount and Danforth avenues. The plants were so pretty. The prices were extremely reasonable. I had to go into the store to check it out. The woman at the store was friendly. She said hi. She let me know that if I wanted to see the fresh-cut bouquets, I could go inside the room that was separate from the main store area. Cool! I was impressed by the variety of orchids that this store had. The blue orchids were exceptionally gorgeous. All orchids were healthy and nicely maintained. A mom-son duo walked in. They were getting a flower arrangement for the son's graduation. They were thoughtful about the flower colours that they wanted. I found a baby rubber plant that looked so naturally shiny and beautiful. It was $5. It was plant love at first sight. I had to get it. The woman came over. I asked if she accepted credit cards. She did, but the transaction charge was ridiculous that she preferred a debit card or cash. I let her know that I was parked across the street and could fetch my debit card. She was good with it. It's rare that I was parked so close to where I wanted to be. I put my order from the Arts Market in my car, grabbed my debit card, and headed back to the store. She was talking to the mom-son duo. I politely said sorry as the owner immediately came over to me to we could get the transaction done. Customer service is impeccable. She managed to deal with me and the duo simultaneously, making us both feel that our business was important to her. I tapped and my transaction was complete. She asked me if I wanted a bag. I said yes, as you never know what will happen if I have to make a turn in my car and soil goes flying everywhere. I got a bag to protect my plant. I thanked her and happily carried my new plant to my car before I headed home. I had to repot my new plant, as the roots were screaming for more space. Luckily, I had the perfect larger planter for it. It is a lovely addition to my ever-expanding plant collection. It's a lovely store. I'd definitely return when I'm in the area and see what my next plant will be. (220)

The final result looked absolutely nothing like the inspiration board and many items laid out clearly in the contract were left out. Budget does not go a long way at this company! Overpriced for what we received. During post wedding discussions with the owner, her responses were "this is not a negotiation", "oh well, human error", and lastly "no one reads the contract, it is not binding". Owner was horrible to deal with. In the end, we did get a refund for a small amount, but please save yourself the disappointment on your big day and go somewhere else!

My family has purchased everything from wedding flowers, funeral arrangements to the boutonnière and the corsage I brought my date at my high school graduation. What more could I ask? There's always a great variety of house plants too so I like to pick up a little treat for myself.
