I unfortunately procrastinated in buying…read moreflowers for Mother's Day and reached out to Kyle on Friday evening requesting a beautiful-full arrangement. Knowing this weekend would be very busy for him and his staff, I suggested picking up at a later date. He was swift in his responce, requesting details on how I would like the arrangement & followed up with confirmation of having everything prepared for Mother's Day (Sunday) 3pm pickup! Always extremely helpful & understanding. I absolutely love Kyle's arrangements, as the flowers always last far beyond other suppliers I've tried. They're all the more special as he seems to design each bouquet in layers. On pickup you'll have an already bloomed set of beautiful flowers which last at roughly 6-7 days, the filler is accompanied by unbloomed buds which tend to blossom after 5-7 days of pickup. This bouquet appears to have a third layer of unbloomed lilies which I assume will blossom within a few days as well. Where a typical bouquet is thrown out after a week, Kyle's arrangements always last a minimum of two weeks! I will continue to be loyal to Growers Flowers. Without fail, an amazing experience time & time again.

This is the place you want to be buying your flowers from. As a person who now realizes how much…read moreflowers cost, I refuse to buy from supermarkets where there's no one really concerned with freshness. We're talking about sitting flowers in dirty water. The difference is flowers that last 3 days versus 7 to 10 days, for a 10% difference in cost. Here's the scoop on what I've gathered so far. A friend of mine told me about "Sara Flowers". Basically, she's the go to person in Toronto for flowers. If you're looking for someone who knows their stuff and has talent and is still affordable despite the hype. When I visited, I chatted with her and she's done stuff like Rob Ford funeral, stores like LV, restos like Kasa Motto, Chase, etc. I went in and basically said do what you think is right, after giving her some general instructions, and watching her work, she really is brilliant. In terms of the actual store itself, I was really impressed at the stuff they're carrying. There's a large retail front selling house items, and gift items. Very cool stuff actually. The card section is excellent. Hilarious actually. Everyone's got succulents, but these guys also carry coral cactus (the only store in Toronto I've seen so far). They also carry Parkhill Candles (really hard to find, but excellent) and at a cheaper price than I paid in the U.S. Other cool things as well if you're looking for gift ideas. Overall, this place is worth the drive for me. Flowers are expensive, but at least I don't feel ripped off here. I feel like i'm getting my money's worth here. p.s Tip - there are Yelp check in discounts available.

The small shop sells beautiful vases, prearranged bouquets, and also has a glass case filled with the most stunning (and expensive) fresh flowers in the neighborhood.
