AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I came across this place through someone's recommendation and I wish I had never gone in the first place. I will definitely not be returning to Botany Floral Studio for a number of reasons. This was my experience I scheduled a consultation appointment on Wednesday January 18 at 1pm. I arrived at 12:45 pm, hoping that I could potentially be seen before 1pm if there were no other clients. To my dismay, I found Nina, the floral clerk on her cell phone. Although I was acknowledged with a greeting from her she advised me that she would be with me shortly. This did not end up happening because ten minutes had passed and she was still fiddling with her phone. Following the lack of her attention to me, two people (one man and one woman) were at the entrance of this business with a box, trying to enter Botany Floral Studio. As soon as I saw them, I approached the floral clerk to notify her about someone who was here for her i assumed and the man who was holding the box with the woman shouted "she's walking away" and mumbled some other rude remarks. I could not make what he was saying but it sounded like swearing. How I found it was that it is suppose to be my responsibility apparently to open the door for this business yet I did not sign up for this. I was simply attending a consultation and in return I was basically mocked and yelled at by one of their very rude clients just because I was supposedly suppose to open the door for Botany Floral Studio which again is nowhere on my responsibility list. The floral clerk finally aproached me shortly after and told me that I should I come back in twenty minutes. I had informed her that I was pressed for time and could not wait that long for I had other errands to attend to. She did not provide me with a clear response after I had said that I was pressed for time. And instead, she began tending to those clients that had come in. I was waiting until 1:12pm. At this point, I was already there since 12:45pm so my patience was running short. The fact that this floral clerk dismissed me and began helping other clients instead of me when she knew knew I had an appointment scheduled at 1pm was beyond rude and unprofessional. For this purpose, I refused to remain waiting and risk being late for where I needed to be. I wasted my time travelling from North York to come and see this floral shop with a supposed rating on google of 4.7 out of 5 stars which is highly unbelievable to me and beyond far from it. For me to accommodate a business by having myself wait twenty minutes was appalling. A client should not have to accommodate a service, it is suppose to be the service accommodating the client. I have been in client relations for over ten years now and I have never dismissed my clients like the way this clerk dismissed me and never would ignore a person by fiddling around with my phone. I spoke to the owner Rachelle and she did not provide me with anything satisfactory in addressing this whole situation when i told her how this clerk behaved. looks to me like both employees lack an understanding of proper customer service. in conclusion, dont let the rating mislead you and just avoid this place all together read more

I love that the tiny, but packed shop offers 50% off cut flowers every Friday afternoon (3 - 6 pm) and Rachelle the owner, has SUPERB taste -- it's way more designsponge than 1800flowers if you know what I mean... read more

Botany is a small space filled to the brim with beautiful flowers and home accessories. Not only are the floral arrangements here gorgeous, they also sell lovely candles, cards, etc. I was particularly captivated by the skeleton keys and the DIY terrarium kits, which come with everything you need to create your own mason jar terrarium for only $20. They also offer lots of great hands-on workshops, which was what initially lured me into the store. Everyone in the store was super friendly and willing to help, and even though I didn't make a purchase today, I will definitely be back when I feel compelled to beautify my home! read more

Botany is an oasis. It's a classy little shop in Little Italy with an ample stock of luscious plants and elegant home decor ideas. Glass jars, antique keys on string, birdcages, simple planters and reclaimed wood. But nothing tacky in the joint - everything is simple, tasteful and seemingly for sale. I didn't actually buy anything here, but my good friend purchased a couple of plants as gifts. She wanted to pick them up early the following morning and the super-friendly owner arranged to have the plants left at the store next door to accommodate my friend's early morning pick up time. If that's not top quality customer service, I don't know what is. Besides the pick up arrangement, the service was superb - genuine helpfulness from a person who clearly loves what they're doing. In addition, she used the term 'plant hospital' to describe a back corner where she puts plants that aren't doing so hot, and I found this endearing. I will definitely be back to this store and I recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful arrangement or plant-related accessories. read more

I'm beyond speechless! There are endless worries when it comes down to having flowers delivered without ever having been to the venue. ESPECIALLY ON MOTHER'S DAY, especially if the sender is residing in Southern California and the only contact you had with the store was via EMAIL. Series of questions/worries floated through my mind: -Are the flowers fresh? (not dead and begging for water) -Is the arrangement not going to look as if it's pictured? -Please, PLEASE let it not be the quality of service of 1-800-Flowers. I DIE. -IT WILL GET DELIVERED RIGHT???? For 2 weeks, I worried and had trouble sleeping at night hoping that things would turn out to be just fine... And Mother's Day came. My Mother-in-law (you know they can be hard to please at times), called screaming with such JOY! She sent me pictures and kept telling me how proud she was to have me as a daughter with phenomenal taste in flowers. This was all because of Botany Floral Studio. All their arrangements were so beautiful it made it very difficult to decide on what to get for my mother-in-law. If you have problems with your in-law, mom, wife, girlfriend,fiance.... OR IF YOU love your in-law, mom, wife, girlfriend, fiance too much, come here for a remedy. The fresh and exquisite flowers are a great touch but it's the effort Botany Floral Studio puts into the arrangement that really blows it out of the water. Thank you so much Rachelle!!! I ordered completely online. Their website ordering is super easy, great layout that gave me ease of access and they had lots of amazing arrangements with genuine images of their arrangements. They offer all arrangements at 3 price points, the cheapest being the less dense bouquet and the most expensive being the super duper deluxe bouquet, I went for the mid-range Mercury Glass Vase Arrangement since it looked stunning online. I placed the order on a Thursday evening and the flowers arrived in Vaughan next day around 2.30 pm. The bouquet in person was only slightly less stunning, but it was beautiful nonetheless and the flowers seemed fresh and generally looked and smelled gorgeous. They charge 5 bucks for a card with a message which seems a little rip offey (But hey, I was a bad offspring and spent my parent's birthday in Cuba...I had to send flowers...And I wanted to use a local business instead that horror show 1-800-Flowers...) I was slightly disappointed with the arrangement as half of the flowers started wilting by Monday (so the arrangement stayed perky for all of 2 days). I'm not sure whether this means the flowers in my bouquet weren't all that fresh, or whether I chose an arrangement with delicate flowers that are more sensitive to heat and light (hydrangeas, majolica sprayroses, commercial mums), So I'd like to order again and test out a few of their offers to see if it was just a one off. But any place that sells succulent arrangements in cute glass vases is okay by me! read more

They have beautiful pre-made arrangements as well as stunning house plants and of course they do customization for events. When I need to have flowers delivered in Toronto, Botany Floral Studio is my go to! The staff is always super friendly and more then helpful in creating the perfect arrangement for me with just directions over the phone, and it's at the point where I simply trust that what they will do will be beautiful and applicable for the occasion. I've never heard anything but 'oohs and awws' about the amazing creations I have had sent from here. The prices are on point for the quality of arrangements. I came in today looking for a gift for my friend. Found what I wanted after a bit of looking around. The selection of younger succulents isn't the best, consisting mostly of similar echeverias. Despite this, their service was great. Three ladies welcomed us as we came in and browsed, telling us to let them know if we needed anything as they worked in the back on what seemed like an order for an event. Their friendly chatter and Spotify playlist was a quirky comfort! I chose the succulents I wanted to gift and a pot for them and they were touched up with some fine gravel above the dirt. I ordered flowers for my wedding via the 'a la carte' option. They delivered on time on the day of, but I was a little bit disappointed with the quality of the flowers. The flowers in my bouquet looked like they didn't have a lot of life left (a little wilted), same with the arrangement I ordered for our table and the boutonnieres. I also ordered 4 of the 10ft foliage garlands and they were much smaller than the ones pictured on the website. Really good customer service though as they were super responsive on any questions that I had and made sure that the orders got to the venue on time (despite my 10am delivery time request). read more

First time around ordered an arrangement that arrived drastically different looking than what I thought I was ordering online. It looked ok, and the recipient was really happy however, I wasn't impressed. I could see where they tried to fill in the blanks with inventory they didn't have and I honestly felt a bit jilted. Just now, I tried to call first before ordering online. Thought that would be a better way to do this. I could not obtain a clear answer regarding what was in season and available vs. what I saw online. I wanted to avoid the outcome from last time. And though the person on the phone was polite and professional while juggling multiple calls, putting me on hold over and over again in combination with not knowing the details about what's online vs. in the shop was pretty much a waste of my time. It would be helpful if they could update their inventory online and show clearer photographs of the arrangements. Or update their instagram or social media to inform people about what's in and out of season/inventory. Their flowers are beautiful and I've seen amazing arrangements with friends from this shop. My suggestion would be to call in advance and ask to speak to someone who is available to answer your questions and offer helpful suggestions OR go into the store in person to see and discuss. I called Botany Floral Studio today to deliver a floral arrangement to a friend who lives in Toronto (I live in Vancouver). I spoke with Rachelle, who was friendly and oh-so helpful. She was an absolute delight to deal with. Anyway, by the time I phoned my order in, the shop was about an hour away from closing. That was no problem, and Rachelle even offered to deliver my arrangement to my friend's home free of charge because it was on her way home. What amazing service! I am sad that I don't live downtown because I would love to visit this place more if I could! this flower shop is small, but it's jam packed with a lot of goodies. It has a good assortment of succulents and the variety changes all the time, it creates very beautiful flower bouquets (i never bought it personally cause it's a bit pricey for everyday) but I witnessed their creations for other customers a few times. I bought a few succulents there, until i discovered that Home depot and Canadian Tire actually sells similar succulents for a cheaper price :) but i would go back if i ever needed beautiful flower bouquets and just checking out the shop in general is always a good experience :) The shop also offers classes for those interested in DIY succulent terrariums and wedding related class I believe. read more

Thoroughly frustrating and disappointing experience. I ordered one of their flower arrangements for my wife's birthday on a Thursday morning for a Friday delivery. I asked if they could deliver them in the morning, but I was told that they had a big corporate order to deliver, so they could only deliver them in afternoon. I explained that we had plans for the afternoon and that it had to be early in the afternoon and I was assured that the flowers would be delivered by 3pm. At 3pm the flowers were not there. I called the store and I ask them to find out where the delivery person was and when they were coming. They told me they would call me back. 20 minutes later nobody had called, so I called them again only to be told that they couldn't get a hold of the courier. By that time, we were running about 30 minutes late, our plans for the afternoon were in disarray, and my wife was still without her flowers. After I made my displeasure known, I was offered a refund and was told that if the flowers ever arrived I could keep them. But, of course, the fact is that my wife would not get her birthday flowers until we were coming back home late that night (if at all) and our plans for the afternoon were upended. Eventually, the flowers were left in front of our door at some point in the afternoon. When we came back later that night, the flowers were sitting there half-wilted (despite their being inside and in a mason jar full of water). Really not the quality or the customer service I was expecting. I feel extremely disappointed and frustrated about the whole experience. [In response to Rachelle's reply below: (1) actually. the flowers were delivered at 3:45pm (I know because I had to buzz the delivery guy in from my mobile), (2) while I appreciate the fact that you issued me a refund immediately, it didn't really solve my problem, as I still didn't have flowers for my wife's birthday, (3) the quality of the bouquet was below par (the lilacs and the dahlias were wilted and there were neither gomphrena nor ranunculi, which were substituted with snapdragons and lilacs). I don't think there is any need to discuss this further, as, most certainly, I will not be using your services again. However, i hope this review will dissuade potential customers from using your services for important occasions and time-sensitive deliveries.] read more

Good place for succulents. The succulents and cacti were priced from $5-12 each and most were not marked so you have to ask the price. Although it is a floral studio, when I went inside I saw no flowers at all despite it being May. The store is a 'bowling alley' type; long and narrow. From the reviews I thought the store would be larger/have more selection, it is quite small. If you ask, they will give you some soil for $1 (saves you a trip to home depot if you only need a bit). read more
