The food is really good. From the burnt ends to the salmon. Our waitress was very knowledgable and helpful with gluten issues My only issue is how long we waited for a table for 5. We had no idea it was so popular. (We are from out of town). read more

I spent the whole day fasting in preparation for this restaurant. I heard so many great things about their barbecue, and I just had to know for myself. I was not disappointed! I walked into a very modern, and quite elegant restaurant. We sat by the bar, at a tall table which is my only grievance, but I am sure that if I had asked, we would have been moved. The server was great, she was very professional, and knowledgeable. Our orders came out on time, and met all our specifications. I walk in with very high expectations, and they were all exceeded. I ordered a pick 3. My choices were, the burnt ends, beef ribs, and brisket. My two sides were fries, and potato salad. I will start by saying that "those were the best ribs I've ever had", the burnt ends just melt in your mouth, and the brisket is delicious. My two side were well made as well, with the potato salad taking the crown for me. I am very impressed! This was definitely a wonderful experience, thank you! read more

Little wait time, even on a busy Saturday night. We ordered burnt ends and they had run out of the beef which was a bummer but food was still outstanding. We sat inside which was a little loud but may have been due to a large party seated next to us. Service was average. read more

We've been wanting to try Jack stack for awhile, and it did not disappoint. My wife and I started with drinks. I got sangria (X2) and my wife went with the tropical paradise. I didn't get a picture of the onions rings, but we started with it as an appetizer. They were very good and crunchy and not overly greasy. Our waiter/bartender was Matthew, and he was terrific. He recommended we get the pit master since it was our first time, and it was beyond amazing. We took about half of it home. The spare ribs were great and really didn't need any sauce. I enjoyed the beans while my wife enjoyed the cheesy corn bake. The wings have a great smoky flavor. Both burnt ends are great, although we both agreed the beef were a bit better than the pork ones. My wife didn't like the sausage, but I thought it was very good. When I go back, I will probably get either a ribs or beef burnt ends meal. Also, since it was my birthday, they gave us a free chocolate brownie to go. We will definitely be back. We went at 5:45 on a Sunday and it was fairly busy. I imagine it would be difficult to get a table on Friday or Saturday night. Be sure to use open table to try and get a reservation. read more

Quality you would expect from Jack Stack, super predictable. Wont disappoint but wont blow you away either. It's nice to have one near Lenexa City Center. There is a lot of good BBQ in the area and lately we are expanding our horizons. Meh. read more

Had a 7 pm reservation and arrived a little early they explained it would be right at 7 pm before we would be seated That was fine and we were seated right at 7pm. Things went downhill from there We wanted Que for 2 and was told they were out of pork. Say what is this not a BBQ restaurant. Told the waiter to give us more time and he returned shortly saying they could now do the Que for 2 rib platter not sure where they got the baby backs but they were subpar. We then had to ask for the Coleslaw we ordered and then realized we also needed to ask for some Sauce. I believe that is always served with Ribs. I had ordered ice tea and when I got a refill it was filled with sweet tea. They were busy but I did not appreciate the attitude our server was wearing S----. You got a tip but not what I normally tip. Lose the attitude or find someone else to wait on me. It was busy and loud in the restaurant. They could certainly improve the area that people waiting to be seated wait. I am glad it was not cold. JackStack we visit fairly often but if S---- is our waiter next time I will ask for a replacement or move on. By the way all the sides were the usual delicious read more

Called ahead and only waited 20 minutes on a busy Friday evening. The KC Lemonade is a great cocktail! Had the burnt ends to start. Tender and delicious! The meats and sides were all delicious! Probably not everyone's 1st pick for local BBQ but so far it's my favorite one since I have moved from Florida. My husband is a local BBQ junkie and he has made me try darn near every single BBQ within 30miles. Try the Cheesy Potato and love the Burt Ends. read more

Great service and the food was delicious. We had a rack of lamb ribs. My husband devoured them. I loved the brunt ends and the sides (esp Mac & cheese) were solid. Don't come here if you are trying to eat low fat. The food is too tempting and flavorful to miss out on! read more

Top notch! We made a reservation, showed up early and we're still seated immediately and they were busy. Our server was on point, Jenny on the spot with drink refills, order taking, she was all over it. Food came fast and was excellent, we got one of the variety platters and it was way too much food especially with the sides that come with it. They boxed our leftovers, gave us spare BBQ sauce and plates, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. read more

This was the most unprofessional establishment I have ever stepped foot into! The management is awful and didn't care for our concerns about our food. My family and I will never be back here again! read more

Service was good, ambience is great it's always busy. I've eaten there twice in the last 10 years and never had a good meal. I have ordered the three rib platter, and I have ordered burnt in Sandwich. Both items were dry and tough. I don't know why Jack Stack has such a good reputation. Maybe I'm just unfortunate and have not been able to have a good meal there I have no desire to return. read more

We ordered take out from this restaurant a year ago and it was delicious so I was excited to finally go there again this weekend but it was a total disappointment. The turkey I had was so salty it was not palatable it almost looked like processed deli turkey not restaurant carved from the whole breast. The fries were good but broccoli side was bitter. My sister said her brisket was very dry as well as the ribs. Their signature barbecue sauce was delicious. They were very busy and although I understand they need to turn tables quickly to accommodate everyone they were very noticeably rushing us almost to the point of rudeness in clearing out table before we were finished eating. read more

Wow, what a treat to have jack stack in Lenexa. Have had multiple meals here, and tried some items I hadn't previously. From the beef ribs to the lamb, and sides, each meal has been a taste sensation from heaven. Meat always falls off the bone, and easily the best beans in the world. Run, don't walk, to jackstack. Also shout out to drive through worker Zachary, his smile is infectious and he always gets whatever we ask for. read more
