This is my experience as a new customer purchasing a unit. Previously called the wrong location and made a reservation, but once I arrived here everything went smooth! I believe her name was Ebony & it was her first day on the site but she was amazing. My first time renting a storage unit so I was uncertain on some things but she made sure the process was easy + to the point. We visited the storage to make sure it was what I wanted and I purchased a lock there. Carts & codes weren't working, but we pushed through! My apartment was a sanctuary from the stresses of work. When my company relocated me, I was forced to find a place to store its contents. I dreaded the process of taking my place apart, packing everything up, and putting all of it in storage. Driving into Jack Rabbit Storage on Rosemont Road, I had the good fortune to meet the assistant manager, Agnes. She was a ray of light in the otherwise gloomy process of storing my stuff. Agnes was kind and engaging. She drove me around the complex to show me the various units that were available. While we chatted, she handled all the paperwork promptly and professionally. Before the whole process was over, I felt like Agnes was my newest friend. Wow. Absolute garbage company. Been using this storage unit for a year now and have had multiple issues. Firstly, they put extra locks on our units and didn't inform any of their "tenants". When I show up to get in my unit I'm locked out. I go to the main office to pick up my keys and they gave my keys away to someone else. Mind you, my name is THE ONLY name listed on this unit. I've mentioned this issue multiple times and no resolution was made from them. I contacted the person they gave them to and had to go get my keys from them. A few months go by and they've updated their policies and management and aren't allowing people to use the dumpster. However, my contract I've signed clearly states I have the right when moving things in and out of my unit to use the dumpster on premise. It also states if they want to make changes to the contract they must inform you 5 days prior to the next months renewal. I was never informed of the update prior. I was told quite rudely by the new manager Candice I was not allowed to use the dumpster anymore. So a business that breaches the contract and doesn't seem bothered by it at all probably isn't the kind of people you wanna store your stuff with. Update upon reviewing their response: It should be noted that per the term of the contract they must inform you five days prior to renewal of any policy changes. (IE the dumpster policy) however we received no notice. Simply the manager rude no. It was never asked what we wanted to throw away and our contract states we can dispose of things when moving in/out of unit. I had a small bag of trash collected from inside the unit but the manager did no bother to hear us out- just rudely cut us off and said no again. We never violates the contract you simply made assumptions and didn't bother to inquire what we wanted to dispose of. It's simply not how you should treat your customers. read more

this was my first time getting a storage unit. I had called within 10 minutes of closing with no answer. But someone called me back & answered all my questions & booker my reservation after they closed. She was so helpful I just don't remember her name. I came in the next day to fill my reservation and Candice was awesome! She was so nice, explained everything & I left so happy that I chose jack rabbit to store my stuff! read more

I always go to this particular location for my storage needs. The spaces and grounds are always clean and well kept; however, the biggest draw is the prompt, professional, and courteous service provided by Roger and Martha. The customer service they graciously provide is unique and refreshing. The facility is safe/secure and and the environment is warm and welcoming. read more

Martha was extremely helpful (and thorough) in helping me decide which unit was right for me. Convenient access to my unit, well lit, and there is security on the premises at night. I was also mailed a key to a lock that they provided for me because I thought I had one at home but was mistaken. Excellent customer service! read more

The owners are relatively nice and personable. I didn't have any issues with moving my stuff in and it seemed pretty straight forward. However, my main issue is that they do not clearly explain the catch to the "free truck rental with move in" policy. The catch is that if you want to take advantage of the "free truck rental" you have to be moving your stuff out within 15 Days of storing it which is pretty unrealistic as most people get storage units to store things for an extended period of time, not just 2 weeks and if you decide to use their truck anyway you will end up paying more than for a typical U-haul truck. If you decide to use Jack Rabbit to store your things for an extended period don't expect to get the free truck. This is falsely advertised all over their store and I can't stand false advertising! read more

The worst experience I have ever had. We were treated like absolute garbage from day one. Went into the office to ask for an expense report today and was completely calm. When I asked the manager to explain a price that seemed incredibly excessive, she called corporate, insisted that I wouldn't leave (I was waiting for the expense report), and wound up calling the police. I still don't have an expense report, and I don't intend on ever doing business with this company again. Apparently the police are very familiar with this woman and reassured us that they understood, but the whole ordeal was so wrong. I have never in my life been so blatantly attacked in a customer service environment for requesting information. Do not use their Rosemont location if you choose this company. read more

We have been storing our " overflow " there for a few years now, and we always have pleasant encounters whether paying our bill or getting help from security during off hours. One time I was either tired or in a hurry... and apparently I did not lock my unit properly. I was immediately contacted, and was able to get it fixed and to sleep well that night ! This storage place was the best that I've seen in the area. A lot of places were very dirty, their workers were kind of nonchalant, & the prices were crazy for the conditions of the units. My husband & I chose this place because it was clean, the owners are very polite (they have been even when we were just looking around), & we felt like it was the right place! This place has cameras, a security guard, a gate in which you need a pin, & the unique thing about them is that they live on the premises. Having our belongings in a storage unit in a different state for a few months was a little scary for us, but we feel so safe & secure at this location. Very impressed. I wouldn't think I could be impressed by a storage unit, but in the hectic situation of moving it was a welcome surprise. Their property was clean, and the units dry. I was especially glad to see they had actual ceilings in the units instead of that spray insulation that falls everywhere. The management staff, Roger and Martha, were very nice, personable, helpful and clear about everything (hence, this glowing review I'm writing). I'd put down a tarp in the unit to keep my stuff dry from the concrete condensation, but I don't think I had to since the units themselves were so dry. I also got a truck from them for free on move in. It was a great deal. Plus, when I got my stuff out after about a month and a few days, I was very excited to find that nothing had any sort of storage or mildew scent. The last place I went to, I had to wash everything in vinegar and water to get the smell out. There was a little pollen dust on some things, but I think that was blown in, under and up by a leaf blower. Besides that, it was a perfect experience. Great location too. read more
