Persian pizza- needs more sausage and sauce
    Cynthia S.

Updated review! After I wrote my last review a new owner reached out, introducing himself and welcoming us to the new business- (you guys should really change the name at some point). Ordered the Persian pizza and fries for delivery. Pizza was good- good meaning I will order again to try it- this time I will ask for no olives and no onions (Persian pizza does not have olives on it, I don't get why this keeps happening. And the onion was too overpowering) the ham was too salty for my taste but that could also be because there was not enough sauce. I will post a photo, 10 slices of pizza with 10 small pieces of sausage (add more so we can actually taste it because it was really good). Something was missing, not sure if it was lack of sauce, lack of sausage in one place and more in the other, the saltiness of ham.. I don't know but it was definitely better than the last time we ordered, and since they are new I will be ordering again to give it another chance. Fries were by far the best fries I have had anywhere in Tujunga and that says a lot for me. This earned them another star. The owner had offered my husband an I to try the food on him while he had messaged me on yelp, we send him a photo via text of his offer, my husband also mentioned it over the phone not sure if he ignored it or didn't register, but when food was delivered he charged us. Which is ok as I said we also want to support the new business around us. We will be returning, I want to try the pizza again and order sandwiches. the food was good with very small changes that need to be made, I really hope that the owner stays and makes improvements as we really need a good gem around here. Also, he was super nice. Thank you

My experience on 2/19/2025 - I couldn't resist going back today to order the roast beef and French fries, which I ended up trying their cold cut sandwich as well. Let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience. I can confidently say that you've never had a sandwich this amazing before ... My experience on 2/18/2025 - This local sandwich spot is a total winner! If you are in the mood for food made with love, this is the place!

Recently this place was sold and it's completely remodeled and looks so clean and modern. The food is amazing. I tried the pizza it tastes really good but the sandwiches are to die for. Omg if u are a fan of light and fresh sandwiches, this is a must try. The staff are very friendly and the prices are fair. I love that i have a new local spot. Also the parking is very convenient. Definitely recommend it.

Traveled 4 hrs to try this little hidden gem nestled in this small town in the foothills of Tujunga. Amazing fusion of authentic lengua recipes on fresh dough pizza topped with cebolla y cilantro

So beyond disappointed! I would give them minus stars if that were possible. The crust is maybe a 1/4 inch think and tastes like cardboard. It is literally the absolute worst pizza I have ever purchased in my life. It is worse than store bought frozen pizza. My husband is willing to eat anything and even he would not eat this. Definitely not worth $13.00 per pizza. Save yourself and just go to Costco. The pizza is better and cheaper. Sadly now I am going to have to make dinner which I was trying to avoid.

The new version of garlic sauce. Anyone who has had the original will see that this isn't it.

I'm very sad to give a 1 star review to this restaurant because I've ordered many times for a long time. It is under new ownership now. The garlic wings were my favorite (best of any I've ever had) and their garlic sauce was EPIC! The new owner assured me that the wings and sauce were the same, but that couldn't be further from the truth. They used to be baked so that the skin was so wonderfully crispy and the meat juicy and tender. They are not baked anymore, so the skin is soggy. The garlic sauce is not the same at all!!!!!! I specifically asked whether the garlic sauce was the same, and he told me it was absolutely the same, and it is not. Even looking at it, it was obvious. It's more like a garlic Italian dressing now, not the luscious thick white garlic sauce it used to be.... So sad! I understand that new owners want to put a new spin on things, but i don't like being lied to, especially when it was so clearly different! I would have returned it, but i picked it up on my way home, and no longer live in Tujunga, so it's a longer drive. Why did he have to lie to me about it???

It had to be new; when I lived in the area five years ago, it simply didn't exist. I'm a firm believer in supporting local businesses, so I made a spontaneous U-turn and decided to see what this place was all about. Serendipity, it turns out, has excellent taste! First impressions were strong. A generous parking lot, a welcoming outdoor patio, and the kind of calm confidence that suggests a place run with intention. Inside, I was greeted by a young cashier who was warm, sweet, and effortlessly professional. The pastry and cake display immediately pulled me in, but curiosity led me to ask about breakfast. She walked me through an impressively wide menu, and my eyes locked onto the ajarski--beautifully described as a boat-shaped dough crowned with cheese and two large eggs. I asked her to add protein, and I chose to go with bacon. A double espresso sealed the deal. The interior is spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows framing Foothill Boulevard and the rolling Tujunga hills beyond. I took a seat facing the window, soaking in the view as the city moved quietly outside. The espresso arrived first--rich, full-bodied, and perfectly textured, not the watered-down imitation too often passed off as a "double." Then came the ajarski. Let me be clear: I've traveled extensively and eaten ajarski in many corners of the world. What landed on my table here was on another level. Every detail was dialed in. The cheese melted luxuriously, the bacon was savory perfection, and the dough--golden, airy, and baked at just the right temperature--delivered depth of flavor with every bite. This wasn't just good; it was intentional cooking, executed with care and pride. I lingered, enjoying the ambiance, the food, and the attentive service. The tip was more than deserved. This place is professionally run, thoughtfully curated, and genuinely uplifting. It put a smile on my face and gave me the kind of energy that carries you through the rest of the day. Highly recommended. A true neighborhood gem--and one I'll be returning to often.

The Seasoning Alley Mediterranean restaurant in Montrose…read more showed promise but landed somewhere in the middle. Here are some impressions from our visit earlier today. The restaurant is a casual, clean spot and has a welcoming environment. Service was attentive and friendly. Our salad was fresh and delicious and the meal portions were large and plentiful. Good hearty sized plates but low on taste and quality. Unfortunately, the pita was one of many low points. The pita arrived cold and slightly stiff, not warm and soft as we'd hoped. It lacked the toasty, chewy texture that makes pita so comforting and effective for scooping up dips and bites. Another low point was that our rice was barely warm, almost cold. Not good. The worst part of our meal had to be the hummus. It was almost frozen and tasted as if it was just scooped out of the freezer. Terribly disappointing. Our Chicken Kabob had a tender interior with a nicely charred exterior. The spices and marinade showed potential, but the overall flavor profile didn't quite soar beyond the ordinary. Wouldn't call it standout, yet it wasn't bad. It was just barely okay. The falafel tasted fresh, but the exterior could have used a bit more crispness. Interior was moist enough, with chickpea flavor present, though it didn't leave a lasting impression. Our overall impressions were that our meals were just barely okay for a casual dinner, but it didn't move into the "great" category. We were disappointed. We expected better quality. For improvement, heating the pita and rice to perfection and dialing in the falafel crust would elevate the overall experience. A touch more depth in the chicken kabob seasoning or a signature sauce could help distinguish the dishes. If you're in the mood for a low-key Mediterranean option with reliable service, this spot is worth a try. It's a safe bet for an okay meal, with good service and good size portions for a casual night out with friends or family. Considering their prices, for repeat visits, I'd hope to see more consistency across staples like the rice, pita and falafel, and a bolder finish on the kebabs to push the overall rating from "good but not great" to "really good." Pita and rice arrived cold. The Falafel could have been crisper. Chicken kabob flavor could be more distinct. The Hummus was horrible. Next time, I'll pass on this place. Cheers!
