Yesterday around 3 PM I went through the drive-thru and got a combo with a Coke. Good thing I tasted it before leaving because it was completely flat and tasted awful. I let the girl at the window know, and instead of apologizing she just goes "do you want me to change it?" ...like yes?? Obviously?? A simple "sorry about that" would've gone a long way. SO I switched to a Dr Pepper and somehow that one was ALSO flat. So I went inside and spoke to who I'm assuming was a manager--woman with box dyed dark red hair, light olive skin, light eyes, late 20s to mid 30s (No name was given shocking, I know, so it explains the Jane Doe description) Her nasty attitude was honestly worse than the drinks. I explained everything and even mentioned it might be a syrup or carbonation issue, and she just stared at me like I was bothering her and screamed "WELL ITS NOT THAT! ILL CHECK LATER." Meanwhile I still hadn't gotten a drink I paid for. At that point I had to stand there rinsing my cup at the soda fountain and trying different sodas myself until I finally found one with carbonation. No help, no urgency, no customer service. It's not even just about the flat soda it's the nasty attitude. If you're going to be in a customer-facing role, at least act like you care a little. Why choose drive through as a career? Who ever the young Hispanic kid is working tonight sucks! I ordered 1 Burger 1 Breakfast Jack 1 Fry 1 HashBrown 1 OJ and Two Churros. The boy never gave me my juice or Second Churros. He also had an attitude the whole time and acted like giving me sauce was a challenge. When I realized I had the OJ missing I went back to get it and ordered another fry and was asked to pay for that when I feel at least for having to return I might get them free but I said fine and paid. Needed to Yelp Review this as soon as I could to give the lady a good review! I wish I had gotten her name but I didn't see her name tag. Came around at 11:59PM My fiancé ordered a sandwich but wanted it as a munchie box meal. He forgot to mention it but brought it up to the lady who greeted us at the window. She apologized and said she couldn't change the order but gave us the food anyways. It was really accommodating and the drive through line was long. She even gave us extra taco sauce and ranch! She was immediately and genuinely apologetic and offered us a free meal. She was professional and very pleasant to deal with. Terrible service is an UNDERSTATEMENT! The supervisor on duty (short Hispanic woman with blonde highlights) and employee (Black woman with short curly hair) servicing us tonight were beyond RUDE. One of our orders was a munchie meal. We waited until 9:03pm to order inside to make sure we qualified for the $6 price. First, the employee told us it wasn't available as a combo, despite it being posted on the counter and us ordering it multiple times in the past. I noticed she was ringing up each item (the item, fries, and drink) individually, which made it more expensive. When I pointed it out, she rolled her eyes, and finally brought her supervisor. Her supervisor rung up our order, and upon reading it back to us, it sounded correct. As my boyfriend looked down to grab his wallet, the employee aggressively looked at me with a "WHAT!" look, picking a fight with me over her mistake. We checked the receipt and noticed we were charged the $8 price (the price for ordering outside of the munchie meal hours). We pointed it out to the supervisor, and she claimed it was our fault because the register charges "automatically" based on time. I showed her the time stamp of 9:07pm, and explained that we didn't arrive to the location until 9:03pm anyways. The supervisor blew us off and walked away. Then the employee started loudly talking to the other employees (in front of us!), calling me a b*tch and saying "well, we know who wears the pants in the relationship." Totally not called for. I was only speaking up because she was being confrontational towards me in the first place, and I just wanted to point out their mistake. We waited for our food, and asked if we could refund the munchie meal and place the order again with the correct pricing (to debunk their accusation that it was our fault that the machine rang up the more expensive price). The supervisor got angry and tried to prevent us from asking for a refund. For example, she asked if we paid by card. We said yes, and she said it would take 2 business days to get our refund, so she didn't want to issue it to us. What the heck? I pushed the refund again, and my boyfriend suggested just refunding us the difference if she didn't want to do a full transaction. Once again, the supervisor blew us off and walked away. She came back with 2 dollar coins (we didn't make a big deal that our "refund" didn't include tax). With our own experiences in retail, we knew that they aren't always accepted by retailers. We asked if we could have dollar bills instead, and the supervisor insisted that she "didn't have keys" to open the drawer, so we couldn't get cash. We asked to get refunded on our card instead and that we wouldn't mind waiting the extra days to get our refund, and the supervisor said we "weren't allowed to." She finally came back with (2) $1 bills, telling us "the coins were still f*cking cash" and that we should f*ck off. Really? That was the final straw. My boyfriend and I left very upset and feeling super disrespected. We honestly would've not pushed the refund and let the difference go, if the employee or the supervisor apologized. But given their inappropriate actions and words towards us, we wanted to get things resolved. It was not okay for them to treat us like crap and undignifying, especially over their mistakes. Definitely escalating this to management, and further, if necessary. This is our WORST fast food experience I've ever had, and that's coming from us even working in the industry previously for many years ourselves. -------- 8/30/20 Update: I called the store and asked to speak with the manager, and the employee said no and hung up. Now, they are refusing to pick-up any of my calls. -------- 9/5/20 Update: After posting my review on multiple platforms and escalating the issue, the district manager, Blanca Molina, reached out the next day. She told me she would request for the store manager to review the tapes to see which employees were working, and that they'd supposedly be reprimanded. She wouldn't guarantee they'd be fired, lol. But she apologized and mailed me 2 certificates for free small combos. Does it fix what happened? Today I went to Jack n the box in Vallejo, CA #3453 around 3:46PM.  Worst experience ever. I started out placing my order which was fine. As I said the second meal the person couldn't hear me. She said the same thing 4 times and I repeated it 4 times. I thought either it's her intercom because she is breaking up or I'm not loud enough. So the 5th time I say it louder. She says don't yell at me. I said I'm not yelling, but you can't hear me so that's why I'm saying it louder. She continues to cut me off as I'm talking and I say I can't hear everything you're saying. She says don't talk to me like that you can go. I said go for what? Someone else got on the intercom and it was fine. I can tell the lady that had the issue because she looked very rude and pretty much threw my food into my hand. I asked are you the lady that was on the intercom and she said nothing. A guy employee was there when I said it. She said nothing but was giving me this mean look. I've NEVER experienced this type of experience. What if I was hearing impaired and she's threatening to refuse service all because her intercom is not working properly. From Breakfast Jacks, 2 for $1 Tacos, and the occasional Sourdough combo, Jack has satisfied the internal combustion needs of my system just as much as the gas stations next door satisfies the gas tank of my vehicle. ENTER THE POINT OF CONTENTION But..... "IF IT SAYS 24 HRS YOU SHOULD BE FREAKIN OPEN!" ...last night was the 6th time in a row that I've hit the Pinole Valley Jack-in-the-Box between the hours of 3am and 4:00am and YOU (Jack) have been closed! Some shit-poor excuse of conducting "system maintenance". Well guess what, Pinole Valley Jack - if you SAY you are open "24 HRS" but you are CLOSED consistently between the hours of 3am-4am, then you are NOT "24 HRS", are you? This is not difficult arithmetic to surmise and it's FALSE advertising to take offline ONE of the most important hours ("3am-4am") that would give you the bragging rights in the first place to SAY you are actually open "24 HRS." So change your freakin sign to "OPEN 23 HRS - CLOSED BETWEEN 3AM-4AM" and employ a bit more truth in advertising, and therefore not creating a series of frustrated attempts to patronize you only to be DENIED. I was just so mad this morning when I came it was 2/8 at 8 am, I had to leave my bf to an airport and we had to eat something before going there. Jack in the box was 7 min from the house and they serve the food that me and my bf like, but this location, when I got there at 8 am ,it was closed. Why? The last time I went to Jack in the Box was probably my last time going. The food was not fresh or hot and the service was questionable. When I pulled up to the drive-thru to get my food, the lady asked me to put my car in reverse to block other customers from entering the drive-thru and not to pull up until I was told. That is some weird service and they gave me food to match that service. Jack in the Box, do a better job at hiring workers. This JNB Isn't usually as crowded as the others but closes fairly early (approximately at midnight). The drive-through is awkwardly located where you can enter from either side of the parking lot. However it is difficult to back in or out of parking spaces if the drive-thru line is long. Their food is an average quality in comparison to other locations. I love Jaque en le crack. Especially this one. We don't do fast food hardly ever. When we do, it's usually at Jack's. It's like gourmet drive thru. And the people here are always nice and quick. At the time of writing this review, we are driving away from the restaurant drive-thru in disbelief. We had ordered two meals: A number 11 and number 16. At the time of ordering, we got the total, about $16 and the instructions to drive up to the window. When we got to the window, we were told the order was only for about $8 and when we asked why it was so low, only the number 11 was in it. We corrected the woman trying to take our payment that there was also suppose to be a number 16 (chicken bowl) on the order, to which she blinked and said "Oh, I'm sorry. We're out of rice." She then went along to try to complete the order as if there was nothing wrong with what just happened. After some awkward silence, we took the number 11 for $8 and went along our way. We're now somewhere else getting food. Next time, tell your customers up front of you can't fulfill their order.
