I've seen Jacks in the Box my whole life. Countless family trips to Texas, but my Momma never let me go. So 20 years later, when one opened up right on my commute route home, I could not possibly say no. I went through the drive-thru. It was very long, because this place had just opened and was quite the buzz around town. But that line moved pretty quick, and they got my entire order correct, and I ordered a lot. The food itself was simultaneously exactly what I was expecting, but also a little lackluster for a Grand Opening of a pilot franchise location in a brand new market. Small burgers, but big flavors. Everything tasted pretty good. And I loved loved loved those little tacos. Give me a few dozen of those for a Super Bowl, and I'm set. read more

Pros: My boyfriend brought home some takeout, so I never got any ambiance vibes, nor service vibes. He said it was a long line, but not too long of a wait. The food itself was exactly as we expected, fast food that was of the quality of it's price point. Burgers were fine, sides were fine, and those cute little tacos were super fine. Cons: No real cons. Great staff but nothing very special about the food in my opinion ... it's fast food, I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up because it's the new kid on the block. My table shared curly fries and two different kinds of burgers and everything was extremely greasy, we needed a lot of napkins. Maybe that's the norm or maybe it's not, this was my first time at a Jack in the Box. Interior was clean with a super casual vibe. I can't wait until more of these open up as this one is 30 miles from me, so a return trip is unlikely. But if I find myself in the area, I'm stopping in for some tacos and egg rolls. I went on the first day to the first Jack In The Box in Florida. This was getting hyped so I expected a crowd. Overall I had a good experience given the incredible demand. I got there about 4 pm. There was a 30 minutes queue to enter the building. The drive through was worse and to prevent cars backing up into the street they had cars in a queue behind the shopping center waiting their turn to enter the parking lot. Once I placed my order they said it would be 90 minutes to prepare my food. In the meantime I tried the Jack in the Box application which was crashed today. The person who took my order said they were not doing loyalty discounts until sometime after the opening. They were passing out cards that had the menu but no prices. When you got to the counter you could see the prices on the digital menu boards. I ordered the loaded mini tacos, 3 egg rolls and a sour dough burger. As promised I had my food 90 minutes later so I exited the restaurant close to the predicted time frame. 2 hours from car door to car door. They had many employees and lots of security. I don't think it was a personnel problem just that the kitchen was not big enough to sustain the demand. My mini tacos came in a container that resembles an Asian take out box. My egg roll container looked like a hot dog. Go figure. The loaded mini tacos are small and served like loaded nachos with the extras on top. They reminded me of a dog sized taco but you get a good amount like tortilla chips. The tiny corn shell tacos have meat filling which makes them kind of addicting. I didn't get much of the loaded toppings but given the chaos on opening day, I am going to give them a pass on that one. I was skeptical about the egg rolls but the staff really recommended them. You get three good sized rolls which are crisp and hot but not greasy. They are not all veggies. I had one that I reheated and realized the inside is shaped like a mixed meat and vegetable hotdog wrapped in a phyllo type dough. The egg rolls have a slightly sweet taste. Sweet and sour sauce was included in my bag and I liked that this is not intensely sweet. A lot of people selected the messy jumbo burgers but I went with the sourdough because I wanted to try a little of a few types of food. It was a good normal sized sandwich. I thought all my food was good and appreciate they were trying to put out quality food that would have you coming back. Last time I ate at JITB was in 7th grade when I lived in the Bay Area. I've been waiting a while to try the food here because the lines were always so long. Today it seemed manageable so I stopped to get hubs and I lunch. I was a disappointed they didn't have the sliders I saw online. We got a couple of the burger combos with halfsies fries, the 3 piece egg rolls, and 2 tacos. Everything was hot & fresh & our order was correct. Staff were friendly but the drive thru line did take quite awhile. Overall it was ok but nothing that blew me away. We finally checked out Jack in the Box . We went the night before (2/23) around 7pm and they had already shut the line down both outside and in the drive thru even though they close at 9pm. I hate that we drove 30 mins there but, figured maybe they just couldn't handle anymore customers because the line for inside and the drive thru was very long. I tried again the next day (2/24) and got there around 4pm the drive thru was super long but the line for inside was not long at all. So I parked and jumped in line . They only let a certain amount of ppl in at a time. When you get inside you still wait but, someone stops by & hands you a menu if you need it and also gives you an approximate wait time & explains what may already be sold out. The process for dining in, is they give you a number when you order, they call your number and someone comes and drops your food off and takes your number off the table. While waiting the trash was filled over so an employee was digging in the trash to put a new fresh bag, once he was done he grabbed a order to take to someone's table without ever washing his hands at all!! A few ppl in line also mentioned that , so that's definitely something they need to be careful with. Now once I placed my order I was hearing numbers being called that were not at all the table numbers they gave out . Apparently they moved to calling receipt numbers and you had to go up to grab your own food so I'm not even sure why I needed a table number . Now on to what I ordered I got my husband a loaded tiny taco with the cheese sauce on the side to go. The other items I got and ate there included , the Red Bull infusion strawberry peach flavor , it was very good. Two tacos, nothing spectacular about them. A number #7 Cluck chicken sandwich with a curly fry and I was able to use the Infusion in place of the regular drink. The sandwich was crispy and tasty . First visit to this Jack in the Box and I have to say that their tacos are the BEST Jack in the Box tacos I have ever had. The right amount of meat, cheese, sauce and lettuce. They tasted fresh and just perfect. Since this is the first Jack in the Box in the Orlando area, they were very busy. The drive through line wrapped around the building and inside with one cashier and one additional touch screen self order station, there was a line inside the whole time we were in the restaurant. They did seem like they may have been short staffed as we never saw any employees in the dining room or stocking the drink/condiment bar. Jack in the Box cooks food to order so there was a little bit of a wait to pick up food but with this known and with how very busy they were, this was completely understandable. One criticism is that whomever designed the building/parking lot didn't have enough room to put both building and parking lot with enough room. We parked a small SUV with barely enough room between drive through traffic and the parking space to maneuver comfortably. A few more feet would have made a huge impact. The only other concern is that this restaurant isn't connected to the app for ordering. Since they are so newly open, this may make sense however where it affects us is that through T-Mobile Tuesday, if we ordered on the app we could have had a free Jumbo Jack sandwich. Since we couldn't order on the app, this was a missed opportunity. I cannot wait for Jack in the Box to open closer to where we live as we live on the other side of Orlando closer to Champions Gate. read more

Let's start off with fact that I've tried to come here 3 times and was not let in unfortunately. We finally came during the afternoon and were finally let in. The hype and wait is so worth it! The service is amazing and so is the food. We ordered mini tacos, egg rolls, wraps, chicken sandwiches. And everything was amazing. I personally had the bacon ultimate smash burger and it was probably the best burger I've had from a fast food spot. The bacon, the sauce, the caramelized onions were amazing it does come with pickles but I took them out, I'm sure it would've tasted just as good with. the sauce was amazing, it almost was like beer cheese but less thick. Went to the drive through and waited about 40 minutes, understandable as they as are new and everyone wants to try it, but the wait was not worth the food. We got a smash-burger with curly fries, the munchie box with the Cluck, tacos & a drink, and an egg roll to try of course! The burger was so greasy, and the lady who checked us out had insanely greasy gloves that look like they had not been changed in a hot minute. The chicken sandwich was also super greasy on the bun which just elicits images of greasy gloved hands touching every single thing including the buns without changing gloves, ew. The tacos were overly crunchy on the shell and soggy on the bottom with hardly any flavor. The word to describe all of the food was slimy, and this is not appetizing. We didn't finish anything except the sides. The tacos and chicken sandwich had an odd sweet flavor to them which was not great either. Not sure what the sauce on the tacos is but it threw off the whole thing. Probably will not be back until there is one closer to Dr. Phillips, the 40 min drive was not worth it. If we tried it again, we'd want to try the salad, nuggets and coffee, but we'd pass on everything else. The egg roll & fries were good though! I'd probably recommend trying another time when they aren't slammed. Side note, you can't order online or ahead, and you can't view the menu online without selecting a location but when you select this location- it doesn't let you view the menu because online orders aren't available! I think this is contributing to the long lines, no one can see the menu until they're ordering. They need to post menus before you get up to order or make them available online. read more

This experience was life changing. And in that I mean by how much i underestimated my endurance. This first day of the first Jack In The Box in Florida was as crazy as I thought it would be. Security was hired and lines were wrapped around every corner. I was told the wait would be 30-45 min. It was not. Once I finally made it to the window it had been three hours. I arrived at 4pm to get in the drive thru line. When I pulled away it was after 7 in the dark. I had never seen literal just barely 18 year olds inside the box with such overwhelming fear in their eyes. They had to be told...but how could they KNOW what was in store. I ordered the smash burger, the cluck sandwich with fries, eggrolls and tacos. I will say this... being able to substitute tacos or eggrolls for fries is a GAME CHANGER. They also have amazing churros. I was so happy to be out of the drive thru but the way my own son actually cried when I put JACK IN THE BOX in his hands for the first time made it worth it. Florida loves you Jack in the box... we don't love small we show up in a big way. And we loved you hard tonight. I know they just opened... so they are very hyped up. We waited in a hour line in the drive up. The line to go inside was outside the door and around the building. They had to have people directing traffic. It was not worth the long waits. We ordered chicken nuggets.. but received chicken tenders. The tenders were not very tender and hard to chew. We arrived around 1:15pm didn't have any problems finding parking waited in line about 20 mins and were eating 20 mins later... all the kids wanted tacos!!! We ordered 3 combos and 7 orders of tacos.....no problems food was all correct, extremely satisfied with our visit overall.food freshness and quality was perfect. All the employees had everything under control.all the employees were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The bathrooms were clean and stocked...keep up the good work guys!! The hours of operation are inaccurate and deceptive. They claim that they are open 24 hours Wednesday-Saturday but god forbid I want to get a burger at 2am Saturday morning, they want to close the store early and give an attitude when they say they're closed. Overall, the food was great. However, I did run into an issue with the restrooms that I wanted to mention for the sake of other parents. We arrived and joined the long line to get into the dining area, which was expected given the new location. After about an hour of waiting, my 1-year-old needed a diaper change. When we finally reached the restroom, I was surprised to see that although it was very spacious, it only contained a toilet, sink, and trash can--there was no changing table available. I don't typically leave reviews, and I certainly don't mean this in a negative way, but I felt it was important to share in case other parents find themselves in a similar situation. Given how large the restroom is, adding a changing table would be incredibly helpful. I considered going back to the car, but between the long line of people still trying to enter, the heavy traffic in the parking area, and the blocked exit door, that wasn't really an option. I ended up laying down paper towels and changing my daughter on the floor--not ideal, but sometimes moms have to make it work. Everything else about our experience was lovely. I'm leaving this review in hopes that the team might see it and consider adding a changing table, which would make a big difference for families visiting in the future. read more

#1 - 2 weeks ago we went for our usual 6 tacos. Up to this point it was "famous 2 tacos for $1.79" total of $5.37 for our 6 tacos. This day the bill for our 6 tacos was $3.98. ?? WTFlorida? Looking at the receipt, they now charge $1.99 for 3 tacos. Why? The tacos were decent size but What Happened To The Jack In The Box Taco Flavor?? It seems they increased the # of tacos but changed the basic recipe. We have been eating these tacos for years at many locations, especially CA, and they just have "A Flavor" These did now they don't. We are going to try one more time but being Florida, we'll see. (Popeyes Chicken's flavor is dumbed down. Found we have to go to Titusville to get the original flavor) (How about McDonalds shrinking the size of their sandwiches but raising the prices? We were very disappointed with our lunch. They only had curly fries not regular fries. The curly fries taste like Arby's. Our order was not made correctly, one burger we ordered was minus mustard and only one piece of cheese but it came with mustard and two pieces of cheese, the other burger was ordered with no cheese and add mustard but it came with cheese and no mustard plus no tomato. So I'm born and raised in California. This is a STAPLE out there. I waited in the 45 min dine-in line and the energy the security guard gave was super awesome! He set the tone for the place before even walking in. You can tell they were very articulate with the opening. It was definitely a controlled environment. Some restaurants just let all the customers swarm in but they were so serious about a GOOD customer experience that they only let in 2 people at a time. The dinning room had no more than like 10-12 ppl inside. I really liked that! When I ordered, the girl at the register was super sweet and ready to tend to us. When the food came out, it was about another 15-20 minutes but I did not mind because boy was the food delicious!! Everything on the table was fresh. The Oreo milkshake tasted just like the one back home !! Ugh I missed Jack so much. I will say they did not have all the options like an OG jack. No teriyaki bowls, pitas, and much more. The ultimate cheeseburger is usually number 8, but it was number 2 here so they're definitely missing some stuff but hopefully they'll put them back on the menu soon! Jack in the Box is my favorite fast food and I'm glad to have one in Longwood. The place is doing a soft opening and was slammed but staff in the drive thru were friendly and professional. I was concerned when I opened the Ultimate Cheeseburger because the cheese appeared to be razor thin - not what I remembered. But the taste was there. And the tacos were classic Jack. I'll be back for sure but the parking is WAY too tight for the space. I'll stick with drive-thru or will park in the Winn Dixie parking lot. read more

My Family and I we're excited when we heard that Jack in The Box was coming to FL, especially since we used to patronize the business in NY, NJ, Chicago an Texas.. But we are so disappointed after several visits. Actually attempted to give another chance after past couple of times bad food. Today we waited in line 45 minutes and get to window and tell the young lady 8 Tacos, 3 egg rolls and a classics chicken wrap with all sauces on the side. Also told her wanted everything fresh. Get to the window get my order live right down the block and get home and food is completely cold. Cheeses on tacos not even melted, and sauce on the wrap. Called up to store and spoke to manager Christina and she asked that we come back up with the receipt and she would remake whole order. So that's what we did. Get back up there Christina takes my receipt and says ahe will be back. She comes backs with my order and says she fixed my order fresh. Get back to house ther e is sauce on wrap, egg rolls cold and tacos cold again c cheese not melted! Called back up there and spoke to Christina again who was no help and sorry.
