I accidentally stumbled upon Alestone Brewing Co while I was in the Longwood area for an unrelated reason. I just happened to lookup breweries near me and ended up finding a real gem! I have already been twice prior to writing this review and really enjoyed the atmosphere at Alestone. It also doesn't help that they serve what is known as a cyser, which is a cider + mead hybrid that tastes delicious! My partner in crime also enjoyed their high ABV offering. I have not yet had the pleasure of trying their food, but I would love to come back for brunch! read more

Alestone is a brewery that offers pizzas, apps and sandwiches in a bar type setting. Their pizza is good and the staff are friendly. Be sure and check the hours if you are considering a food order because the kitchen closes at 7 pm on Sunday nights. The beverages are the focus here but I came for the pizza. I thought the pizza was tasty. Sorry no pics. This is a fun place to spend time with friends enjoying drinks and sharing pizzas. They have some interesting combo pies. read more

Alestone Brewing is such a great spot! They always have a fantastic selection of local taps, and the friendly staff makes you feel right at home. The kitchen puts out amazing food--definitely not your typical brewery bites, everything is fresh and delicious. I also love their daytime happy hour, which makes it the perfect spot to grab a drink and a bite during the day. Stopped by Alestone Brewing this afternoon while out running errands. It was very good! I had the chicken Philly, which far exceeded my expectations. Super flavorful. My friend had the roast beef patty melt and she loved it. For drinks, we tried their strawberry key lime seltzer. It was lovely... not too sweet. I rarely have more than one but I could've had a couple of these. Our bartender was friendly, fast and attentive. The person who made our food brought it out and checked on us on a trip out of the kitchen. The space is big, open, clean and nice and cool... much appreciated in this summer heat. I came here for the beer and the fact that they had food. I read some reviews saying they had the best pizza they ever had... Yeah, right... Well, maybe not the best pizza in the world, but I actually found it went well beyond my expectations! The PEPP IT UP! - Housemade Tomato Sauce, Parmesan, Fresh Mozzarella & Pepperoni w/ Aromatic Basil was actually amazing, and I would go back for that even if I wasn't going to have a beer. On the beer front they do well too. I went through a couple 5oz pours of the ones with higher ratings and then asked, Steve I believe, if the list changes often. He replied that some rotate off so feeling adventurous I asked which ones did he think might be gone the next time around. One of them was the Jump Trees Of Life. I was warned to try a sample beforehand, but I went in deep and try as I might this one was tough! The aftertaste was fine, it was the up front taste that you could never get used to. I have to hand it to them on this one. They tried, they failed, it will rotate off. I'll be back to see what it is replaced with. The location is a little tricky with traffic depending on which way you are headed in, but you will figure that out after the first visit. My husband and I came here to try out their beers and heard they make great pizza. We ordered their classic lager and white peach seltzer with a Trash It (everything/supreme) pizza. The beers were nice and light. The white peach had a nice aroma while taking sips. The pizza was the perfect size to split for a meal. They were able to adjust for our ingredient preferences and the pizza came out quicker than expected. The crust and flavor were perfect! That night they had a vocalist outside on their side patio and the doors to inside were open so everyone inside could hear her as well. It was nice having the live music while we were there. Parking was easy in the plaza. We got a spot right in front of the business doors. The staff were very helpful when trying to pick beers and giving pizza suggestions. We'll be back! read more

A thirsty soul, a hungry stomach, and a Groupon entered Alestone Brewing Co and all left satisfied (well, the Groupon was too spent to leave). Alestone BC caught my eye in the Yelp app with a number of my fellow Yelpers posting solid reviews and tantalizing pictures and the deal they purchased through Groupon. Loving the combo of pizza and beer (like many a person), I purchased a Groupon to further commit and save money. With the days counting down to the coupon expiration date, I took my wife and son here for a Sunday lunch. We ordered the cheese pizza and the two beers that were included in the deal and then avocado toast and the Pepp It Up pizza. Our beer tender and server assisted us wonderfully and even provided a customization for my wife's avocado toast. After a couple of beer tastings, both my son and I chose the Xenobier, Munich Dunkel at 4.4% ABV, and enjoyed the brew. Our pizzas and toast came out in a reasonable amount of time. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her avocado toast and my son and I the pizzas. The crust was cooked to outward crispiness and inner chewiness, one of my favorite types of crust. The fresh ingredients popped the overall flavor. Everyone agreed we'd return here (and I'll probably snag another Groupon, if they are still available). Misc.: Family-friendly. A wide open layout with bar area in the center. Plenty of outdoor seating with Corn hole and also dog friendly. I have to give this place 5 stars after having possibly the best pizza I've ever had (including pizza I've had in Italy). The dough is so light and fluffy and flavorful it truly can't be beat. Most of the beers on the menu are sours, but there are a few other types, so I'd keep that in mind if you plan on visiting. They also do a special mon-thurs where all pizzas are half off! Update: My wife and I visit many breweries, it is one of our favorite things to do. Typically my brewery reviews weigh the beer itself as the most important. I was underwhelmed with the beer selection and the few i tried.....I ended up getting a guest tap. BUT.....what they lack in beer, they make up 10 fold in pizza. I'm a pizza snob, it's my favorite food. Not only is their pizza by far the best I've had in Central Florida, it rivals the pizzas I've had in Italy. Make sure to get a "boring" pizza without a ton of toppings. A simple margherita or single topping like pepperoni is the way to go to let the dough and sauce shine. They really do have some of the best stone fired pizzas in town. And the pricing is super reasonable. My first ever triple hazy IPA! I've never seen that before in my adventures! We had a Groupon for pizza and 2 pints. The cheese pizza tasted like wood fire pizza so that's unique. Came here after a day at the springs, arriving at 3 pm. Fairly empty but a few patrons at the bar. Only one bartender working so she would ask us something, then go wait on 3 others. Our family visited the Astone brewing company in Longwood for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere was very family friendly for all ages on the patio. Add a cornhole game set up which everyone enjoyed. They had an excellent selection of craft beers, cider, and seltzers. Sunday brunch menu was a bit different but very good. The only negative I could say was that the food service was a bit slow, but the food was good and we were in no hurry. The owner and staff were very nice, pleasant and welcoming. This little gem hit the spot for me and the wifey after wanted some pizza and a cold beer on a very hot summer day in central florida. You order at the bar regardless of where you seat yourself but the bartender was amazing and just came up to take our orders anyway lol. Their beer selection is perfect for any palette between german style beers, flavorful/ fruit ipas and sours, plus hard seltzers. The pizza tasted delicious albeit I do wish the cheese wasn't a heavy clump that led to the user side being super soft and fall apart. However, I really enjoyed their sauce more than I assumed I would for a brewery pizza. What a great place to end your work day. Came here on a Tuesday night after work with my boyfriend because we wanted to have a couple of pints to wind down. We walked in and was invited by the aroma of oven pizza. Our bartender, Anna sat us down at the bar and took our orders right away. We ordered two pints of the #1 Traditional Lager and it was $5 each. Beer was cold and crisp, we ordered it again! We paired our drinks with a Cubano which was freshly pressed and the cheese was very cheesy! Anna worked up a great conversation with us and we're glad we met her! She was knowledgeable with the beers on tap and invited us to keep coming back for their special events. We'll always look for her when we stop by! Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. No one else inside despite the spacious interior - so settled at the bar, where I was immediately given the food menu. It seems like their specialty food here is pizza, but wasn't going to pound one of those by myself. Decided instead on the Roast Beef Melt ($14) as well as the Pelican Nightmares IPA ($6ish). Sandwich is pretty good - a few strips of roast beef, cheese, and mustard on sturdy rye with ruffled chips to the side. Would have preferred more meat and cheese (deli style), but I guess this was healthier. Chips went really well with the beer which wasn't as hoppy as expected. Also tried the Jump Tree IPA ($7ish) - a way more bitter, and full flavored ale. Bartender was very nice and they do have growlers to go. Alestone is the newest kid on the block in Historic Downtown Longwood (bonus it is located right off a Sunrail stop). They have a large outdoor covered patio, with darts and some pub games. It is also pet friendly. I went on opening night and there was a lot of energy and excitement. They were packed (congrats on a huge opening night)! I waited in line for a little over an hour (grateful for the sample that was passed out while we waited) but everyone was friendly and there was plenty of beer still flowing by the time I got to order. I got the 10oz. Prancercise (Blackberry, Raspberry & Vanilla Sour) which was very refreshing, clean, and well balanced sour wise. I also ordered the 10oz. Jump Tree (West Coast IPA) which was dank as the description said but I felt like could have been more citrusy/juicy (my humble opinion, take it with a grain of salt). I wish I had had more time to try more beers (they have a great selection), but I will be back for sure. I heard they will be offering pizza and sandwiches soon. Stopped in for an early dinner after the kid's sporting event. When we arrived we were able to grab a table easily for our group and started looking at the menu. We are not sure if they don't typically have table servers or if the standard is ordering at the bar. We were flexible so it didn't bother us to go to the bar. It did seem pretty clear that they were a little short staffed, but the staff remained attentive as best they could and were very friendly. We chose to share the toasted Italian and the Cuban. The Italian came out first and was very good. It was on soft bread and there was just the right amount of tomato sauce for the meat and cheese on the sandwich. It was a good choice. Then the Cuban came out and it did not have good flavors as well. It almost tasted like some of the meat was old. The servers apologized and offered to bring out something else. We did chose to try the cheesesteak. When that did come out it was good, not the best cheesesteak but had good flavor. They had some good beer choices as well and I opted for the dark stout which was good and had a sweet finish to it. If were to review my bank statements from 2023, I probably spent $300-$400 a month at Alestone. We would drink beer, eat Pizza and enjoy our Thursday evening. At that time the pizza was simply amazing. There was a change in the kitchen and the cook left the establishment, this was early 2024. We stopped going. The food was really lacking. We just retired last Thursday hoping it had gotten better. Nope. It was not good at all. Granted I'm comparing to what it use to be, it honestly just does not stand up. One star and we won't be returning because the bartender, he told me his name was Steven, asked my friends (8) of us if we could squeeze into a 5 top table. We said of course and jumped up to grab our stuff from one of the tables. Before we could get to our things, he started slamming chairs around and actually broke an item I won at the event. We love Alestone! It's our favorite local hangout for an easy going vibe and tasty beers. The service is always good, bartenders are pleasant and easy going, and offer help selecting and tasting beers every time we come in. The music is at a good volume - you can hear it but it won't drown out a good conversation. My husband and I often bring in our Magic: The Gathering decks and casually play while drinking. We went with a Groupon deal (2 pints and a pizza). The vibe was a bit subdued and it took us a while to figure out they weren't doing table service (even the card on the table clearly mentions that you order at the bar)...our oops. It was laid back, folks were outside with their dogs, inside there were lots of poeple who looked like they were first timers like us, plus a handful of regulars at the bar. So the pizzas came out. Wow, we were not expecting what we got....the crust was beautiful, like really nicely crafted. I like my pizza from Pizza Bruno and Sodough (Detroit style)....I'd put these right up there along-side them. Loved how proud the cook was when he brought them out to us. We'll be back. We've had 50/50 experiences here. First time was awesome! The pizza blew us away. It was the best we had outside of Italy, no joke! The beer is good. Not mind blowing but good. The second visit, not so much. Got major attitude from the bartender about getting a flight. She let out this huge sigh and said something about everyone wanting flights. I just ordered something completely different. I didn't want to be a burden. I haven't been back since. It was pretty off putting, but everyone has bad days. The bar tender didn't like the fact people use Groupons. This was a while back. I went to the bar and told the guy I had a Groupon. He looked away and looked disappointed or peeved. I the repeated myself after he didn't say anything. He rudely said, "which one man we have a few.' I'm not sure why he has a problem. The company is spending money to advertise and put out the Groupon to gain new customers. The only thing I can think of is that people select 20 percent on the machine when checking out. Since it's based on the Groupon total, he gets pissed. I ordered additional toppings on the pizza and two additional pints. read more

This place is wonderful. I have been twice now and it's been a perfect place to take the dogs. We sit out on the patio which is shaded and they have fans going. The beers have all been really great and between myself and my partner we have probably tried about 6 of them. The pizzas are also delicious. We gobble them up too quickly before I even remember to take a photo, but they are also actually a work of art. Really pretty pizzas which is something I never thought I'd say in a review. I come to Alestone for trivia on Thursday and for dinners/ grab a quick beer! I love the fact that there is a sandwich and pizza menu, and options for smaller children such as grilled cheese and hot dogs. My daughter loves grabbing a hot dog while we are here. I have tried the Cuban sandwich and the pizzas (porky pie, cheese, Bianca) all are delicious! I also have had many of the sours here as well. Last time I stopped by I did a gose and sour, I forgot the names but both were delicious! You won't be disappointed, the location is kid friendly and dog friendly too!
