This location has been my go-to for many years. Quality of food is sort of a toss-up. I like their fries, tacos and some of their hamburgers from time to time. On certain days I go, food is steaming and high quality and comes out in what seems like half a minute. On others, there is a long wait, and it comes out cold or some items are missing from my bag, meaning I have to go inside and show the receipt in order for them to fix the issue. Some advice, check the bag immediately after it's handed to you. I must mention that the drive-thru is my preferred method of ordering. The last time I ordered inside was a long time ago. Ambiance inside is your typical Jack in the Box. Roomy dining room with the standard advertising, and you hear the employees' dialogs with customers, as is typical in any fast-food establishment. read more

These people are rude and spit in our food and she was making fun of my Tourette's. She was being very disrespectful to us.

New management the store is filthy.!!! Every time I go into this place it is empty and homeless people all over outside. I wanted 1 chicken sandwich and they said they could not do this it had to be a sandwich with fries and drink. Never heard of this and I also worked for Jib. For 10 years for Quick Stuff and was Circle of excellence every year so I know what I am talking about. This one needs to be looked at.I worked there when Lenny Coma was in charge. read more

Had the most awful Customer Service from the so-called store manager this evening who even went as far as telling me to fuck off and gave me the birdie finger onto 2 to 3 occasions. I drove up through the drive-through window attempting to place an order for the evening. After making me wait for over 10 minutes. She basically hung up on me and told me to have a good day. Which I tended to overreact to, and then the fight was on. I drove up to the window, very upset, of course, and confronted her, and she continued to use profanity toward me. This lady has no business being in any Customer Service business? I have no idea how she became a shift or otherwise any other type of manager. She was a very rude and obnoxious young woman who obviously does not know how to take care of customers. I would love to see her lose her job!! I was able to reach the district manager today, who was not much more professional or helpful than her employee. I spoke to Rebecca, who, even after I told her that I regretted my actions, she continued to defend the actions of her very unprofessional employee. I don't think I will ever eat at Jack in the box again, and in addition to terminating your employee, I suggest terminating your district manager for the Chico Jack in the box region. Very unprofessional and has no idea what Customer Service is all about. Seems like that's what you're getting in the fast food industry today! I would appreciate a call back or email back from someone in the executive position to discuss the two worst that employees I ever have dealt with in my history with the Restaurant business and I am in my 60s! Absolutely despicable! read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!!! Food was cold, Absolutely NASTY,Old tacos, old oil, terrible customer service!!!! Rude employees!!! Dirty tables, no ice... Just all around TERRIBLE!!!!!! 40 DOLLARS LATER!!! Also why do the employees act like they are churning ranch in he back and it's so precious!!! I pay for extra!!! I'm not asking for a 5 star meal but come on!!!!! read more

I am new to the neighborhood and really enjoy Jack in the Box...until I gave this location two chances. Both times were the worse experiences of my life. If they are prejudice, I would really respect if they just said so! read more

Went inside with my son, stood there at the register waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for the guy to take our order. He didn't even acknowledge us to say it will take a minute. "More like 8 minutes." The two cooking the food moved like snails. I made a choice not to give this Jack in the box business. Seemed like the drive through is the only priority here. Never going to this snail moving/non friendly people again. Need to change the employees or shut this place down and get new management. read more

I won't be coming back. I would rather drive downtown. Servers are rude as fuck. My server needs better training. I worked at McDonald's I was very respectful and to me treated like a piece of shit that is NOT OKAY. They disregarded my wishes on my food and the server omg so rude and definitely does not have the right social skills got the loaded fries and hey never gave me a fork. I won't be going back I pray it gets closed down read more

I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants the worst tasting and coldest food they will ever get in their life. Also, if you really enjoy having stomach aches after you eat food, this is your go to place! The staff made sure to move at a slower than a tortoise pace, so that helped me to get the cold food I really wanted. read more

Ordered 5 combos got charged for 6 and for one of the meals I got no sandwich just fries never coming back to this jack again

Lazy workers always deliver the wrong food. I finally called and complained to the manager. Who really didn't care... told me to come back to correct order. I asked if she would drive back across town to wait in line just to get the correct burger... she said fair point. Guess we will just have to do better. You cant even walk into thus location... stay away. read more

Quick service, fresh product, and friendly staff in the Drive through. I had the Cluck Deluxe Sandwich: chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese and guacamole. Yep. Bacon and Guacamole together...Oh and did I tell you that the user real chicken breast? Not a patty with who knows what but a chicken breast. Good. Now you know! I will post pictures of that beauty. Drop by and get one, at least once. read more

Thankful they are open during this time , however it's called "Fast Food" for a reason, I guess the staff hasn't grasped that concept. One other car was in front of us and their dining room is temporarily closed..... took about 10 /12 minutes or so to get our food. They forgot one of the best parts of their milkshakes - the cherry....disappointed once again by this location. On a positive note , the cashier was very sweet & polite. read more

Anywhere else would be better! This place is terrible. If you like hand sanitizer/spit on your food, this is for you. If there is an emo girl, 'Erin' working then just keep driving through. She was finished taking my order after the first item, if I weren't a man, I would go back and wait for her in the parking lot. You don't mess with people's food! Maybe something bad will happen to her and I'll dance on her grave. Careful how many items off the menu you order or risk getting your food literally thrown in the bag, uncooked, wrong, flattened or worse, hand sanitizer or spit! These people are bums, and need to be fired. An attitude riddled 'Is that it' after every item. Food made wrong. Ask for no catchup, got extra. No tommato, how about extra. Cheddar wedges, how about undercooked and thrown in the bag upside-down. A flattened chicken club, like FLAT, as try to find where the bread is, 1/8 inch thick FLAT. Bunch of bums! The night crew obviously thinks they should get paid regardless if they work or not. 'Is that it!?' after every item, makes you not wanna order. I'm sorry that you are put out having to do your job Erin. If you don't like the job quit. Have some pride in what you do. Giving customers attitude because you are having a bad day should leave you unpaid and jobless. I'm gonna keep calling corporate until not one of these people are still working at this location. I'm sending the health department in as well, and anyone else whom will listen. Edit: Didn't get what I wanted, first issue was they were out of rice. No teriyaki bowl to be had. Out of rice, translated 'I don't want to make that'. read more

Ignored by staff the moment I walked in. Finally asked what I would like and I told them I had placed a mobile order. Person at the counter just said "oh okay " and walked away. I waited about 8 minutes for the 2 items I ordered. No fast food at this fast food restaurant. Jack in the Box gets 2 stars but it would have been 1 star had it not been for the really nice girl with blue hair that handed me my food with a smile even though she was working in the back. read more

Pros: - Friendly staff. - Food is usually well made. Cons: - Dirty and poorly maintained. - High prices. - Bums all over the place. If you plan on going inside this JIB you'll need a weapon to fend off the large group of homeless that always seem to be having a convention near this location's front door. You would think the management would address this issue but it only continues to get worse. The JIBs in Chico are poorly run. The staff here do seem to be trying and are friendly but that doesn't make up for all of the cons noted above, especially considering the pricing. $3 for a large fries, $1.40 for two tacos, and on and on. read more

Friendly Staff & Quick Service. Have eaten at Jacks for years! All over the country- I know: " bad, but so good". Sometimes I just crave those tacos! I also like the fact that it's cheap when I don't have a lot of cash and it's fast when I'm in a hurry. "Guess that's why they call it fast food" It's brilliant they serve whatever you want whenever you want it! FYI: they still carry their "Secret Sauce" you have to ask for it & it comes in packets. It's so good, reminds me of my childhood when it came on the Cheeseburger. Great even now on any one of their burgers! This location is difficult to get in and out of at times, but much better than the location to get in and out of on Esplanade & Broadway- read more

This place needs a SERIOUS CLEANING, both inside and out. I went in a few years ago and saw how dirty everything was. Well, nothing has changed. If the visible area including the parking lot and entryway is filthy. I hate to think what the cooking area looks like. This was my last time visit for sure. Corporate needs to make a surprise visit and fire the manager. The coffee was very good, that is why I gave it an extra star. read more

I hate to give a negative review but this needs to be said. I understand this is Jack in the Box and you pay for what you get but the fact that it took 30 minutes to get my order along with friends was ridiculous. They mentioned that their orders cleared out...if I did not go up to ask them about my food, they would have never called my number. When I got my food, the food was poorly cooked. I was extremely disappointed. My friend went inside their bathroom and there was throw up EVERYWHERE on the floor. The tables to eat were all dirty and with leftover food and crumbs all over. Not sure how this Jack in the Box is still open to be honest. read more

I Really like Jack in the Box. Especially there two tacos for 1.50. Always really yummy and inexpensive. Would Definitely recommend!

Consistently a sh$& show at this location. Came here for my final time this evening. Never again. Wanted egg rolls, an order of tacos, and a sourdough jack... they were out of egg rolls entirely, out of Mayo for the burger, and out of taco sauce for the tacos. How can you be out of ingredients for 2 of your best selling items? read more

This is a Chico fast food restaurant that has a late-night drive-thru, so I do go here from time to time. I like that I can get a Teriyaki chicken bowl with rice and veggies at a fast food restaurant (love the egg roll, too). I also like that I can get a breakfast item any time of day (all Jack's do this). I must admit that I do indulge in the greasy tacos (2 for $1) sometimes too, but hey - nobody's perfect. Overall, this location is quick and gets my order correct 9 times out of 10. However - they do have a couple of downsides that I will point out: One - they always ask you if you want to order the newest thing on the menu (all Jack's do this, too). I feel like this is rude and it just ticks me off every time. Stop doing this! Also, when I finish ordering and say, "that's it", don't ask me if I want something else ("a drink with that?"). [Minus one star] Two - Drive-thru design. There is an insane turn you have to make and every time I maneuver it, I feel like I am going to hit something. Also, there is very poor visibility on Esplanade when you pull out. I can't believe the city signed off on this terrible design. [Minus another star] I will keep going here because it is close to my house, open late and my order is done right, but I sure wish they would fix these shortcomings. read more

Great customer service. I've mostly always encountered patty at the drive thru window and the counter. I've always witnessed her work very very hard and she's very kind and always makes sure my order is correct. I have been trying to read her name tag for a while to leave a review, but instead she got ahead of me and asked me for my name since she noticed I purchase coffee there most mornings. Thanks patty! read more

I came here for breakfast in Sunday in the Drive-Thru and received poor customer service. The person did not take my order for over 5 minutes at the speaker box and told me to wait until he was ready when I said "hello?". Very disappointing. read more

This restaurant is home to several transients. They are allowed to hangout outside, and tie up their pitbulls while they get water for them inside. The staff isn't paid enough to deal with the drugged patrons. There is generally a scent of homelessness that wafts through the air. Not an environment I'm going to eat in again. Really can't understand how this place is still in business. Of the 3 fast food restaurants within 200 yards, it definitely gets the least traffic. I'm really pulling for this place to be converted into a different restaurant. Oh, and the food isn't good. read more

Lies lies lies... False advertising too! They claim to close at midnight and they closed at 11:55 when we were at the door. We will not return to this location. read more

Just cruised on through this fabulous destination, and wow did we get some great food! Loaded nuggets were fresh and tasty. I ordered a coke, and Edgar, our fantastic waiter informed me they have VANILLA coke. Which is by far, the best one. I usually come here at night for the munchie meal. Two tacos, mix fries (curly and regular) soda pop and loaded nuggets. My girlfriend and I each got one, and it was about 13 bucks. Will come again! read more

Do not eat here!!! Made the mistake of going through the drive thru right before closing time Erin the totally inept drive thru girl thought it was funny to destroy my food with her terrible bagging skills and I'm having my burger tested by the health department in the morning due to the overwhelming taste of sanitizer so the kitchen was in on the fun....I get it you hate your job but my kids ate that food too and that's unacceptable!! I have never tried to get anyone fired for poor service before today but as I sit here with a terrible taste in my mouth debating whether to call poison control or go to the E.R. this feels more criminal negligence instead of just stupidity.... beware this "restaurant" (and I use the term loosely) the kids who work here just don't have any pride in there work and if they are willing to undercook and tamper with my food your next.....wish I could give it zero stars with a and cross bones!!!! I love Jack In The Box. I hate this location. Lady in charge in the morning has no good customer service skills. They have one of those Coca Cola machines that dispenses dozens of beverages. Only problem is they always keep it off. You have to order your drink from an employee who will get your drink from the machine behind the counter. You don't get to choose from the dozens of choices available through the machine they keep off. read more
