Truly authentic Irish Pub on Long Island, you come here to get drunk and fat... you'll feel like you're in Dublin. Food is outstanding Traditional Sunday Roast... choice of 1/2 roasted chicken, or beef brisket, or fresh roasted turkey or fresh Irish Ham. Served with all the trimmings Baked stuffed Clams are a must, amazing sandwiches, burgers and homemade French fries second to none. All dessert's are homemade and Guinness Brownie served with soft serve ice cream. Service is outstanding as well, shout out to Kolleen our waitress absolutely fantastic. Clean and decorated still for Christmas, magical night watching snow falling out the windows and the Christmas lights on and tree lit. Highly recommend this outstanding Irish Pub and restaurant where you can find Guinness and Harp on tap to fill your pints.

Went in for a quick bite and beer before a movie. We decided to just have drinks for happy hour, sausage rolls, and pork sliders. Food came out super quick and all delicious! The whole menu sounded amazing and the small bites we had definitely made us want to stay for longer if we did not have somewhere to go.

The "other" Irish bar I went to in Smithtown wasn't great, Jack Dolans on the other hand was warm & inviting. I wouldn't say it looks like a classic old school Irish bar but it does have a warm, friendly ambiance. The bartender was very attentive and friendly & I love that they have Smithwicks on tap. The chips were warm and delicious and I'm looking forward to trying other items on their menu in the future.

First time there for me. Super clean, warm, and inviting. We ate at the bar. The bartender was a young lady. Friendly attentive and fun. She catered to our every need. We never had to ask for anything. The food was perfection. I had the roast turkey club with fries and tried the potato soup, and my buddy had the club and baked clams. Those clams are amazing, possibly the best I've had. Overall, I'm super glad we tried this place. Left full, content with a smile on my face. Well done, guys..

As expected, it was a casual pub style spot with a bar and a small dining area in the back. For this Friday afternoon, it was quite busy. It was bustling with almost all the tables taken by the time we left. Our server was friendly and upbeat. She offered suggestions based on our preferences. We both ordered the same thing - burgers. They came out quickly. The burgers were big and yummy. They satisfied our craving perfectly.

I've been here on numerous occasions hoping that maybe this would finally be the visit where everything clicked. Unfortunately, it just hasn't happened. My experiences have been so-so, and more often than not they've been slightly disappointing. My biggest complaint has always been the food. My take has been it's been bland or uninspired. The French onion soup was just ok, and seemed like no effort putting this together. No provolone cheese option when I've ordered which is crazy. The Caesar salad tasted diluted, with lettuce that seemed waterlogged rather than crisp and fresh. Just overall underwhelming. The food is not necessarily terrible, but just mediocre and forgettable. Portion size is another problem. For what you're paying, the plates often feel surprisingly small. One example of this was the "Big C Burger," which was honestly a huge letdown. With a name like that you'd expect something substantial. Instead, the burger was tiny--maybe 4-5 ounces at most. At first glance you could barely even see the meat because the bun swallowed it. I ordered it medium and it came out completely overcooked, cooked to death really. The bun didn't help either--dense, dry, and overpowering the already small patty. The whole thing just felt poorly executed. Even the little details were off. I asked for olive oil on the side for a salad and what came out was clearly some generic vegetable oil. It felt like a lazy substitution, the kind of thing that makes you question how much care is going into the kitchen overall. To be fair, the one thing Faraday's consistently gets right is the atmosphere. The restaurant is has a cozy charming space with a warm pub feel. The indoor dining area although small has character and a comfortable vibe. The outdoor area is really nice too, and perfect for setting for a nice meal on a comfortable day. Service is good. I've not had any issues with any servers ever being inattentive. Occasionally some order mixups but quickly rectified. Unfortunately, that inviting setting hasn't translated to memorable meals. After several attempts over the years, Faraday's has remained one of those places that seems like it should be good--but for me, it just never quite hits.

This place isn't trying for polished restaurant experience, and honestly, that's kinda part of its charm. It feels like the kind of spot where the bar comes first and the kitchen supports it if this makes sense. The atmosphere is a neighborhood hangout feel. You can tell it's a local spot--people walking in were greeted by name, and there's a familiar, lived-in vibe that makes it feel welcoming if you're a regular, and easy enough to settle into if you're not. Food-wise, the corned beef on both the Gaiety and the Finnegan's Wake sandwiches stood out--tender, flavorful, and generous. Both sandwiches came with fries, and while I appreciate skin-on fries, these leaned a bit soggy rather than crispy. Overall, this is a solid spot if you go in with the right expectations. It's less of a destination restaurant and more of a go-to pub where you can grab a drink, and enjoy pub food. If you're looking for a lively, casual bar with good portions and a strong local following, it delivers--even if not everything on the plate is perfect. I think I'd like to make an update review after trying a few more dishes. At a glance, 3.5 with overall good experience.

I will admit I was a little skeptical when driving there. Pub is on Old Dock Road in a wooded section of the closed Kings Park Psych Center property. Looking past the abandoned buildings you arrive at the pub which gives off that upstate, neighborly even home town vibe. There is a large outdoor patio area in the front offering ample seating weather permitting. Inside features a full bar with seating along with high top tables and a small dining area off to the side. Hearing there was some confusion regarding how/where to place food orders we settled for the bar. After promptly being welcomed and getting some advice from the bartender I ordered the Carolina Golf chicken wings. These were the best wings I have eaten by far. These wings were meaty, crunchy and flavorful with that tangy sweet Carolina sauce and are reasonably priced. I'll definitely return and try the other flavors when in the area. One note be cognizant of the deer when coming or going. I saw a few deer meandering about the property while there ( deer can be viewed on the rear property where a cell tower is located). Overall a small but cozy pub the features outstanding chicken wings along with friendly service. When in the mood for wings this is the place !

This place would get a 3.5, but I'm rounding down for reasons I will say in the review…read more I started off by seeing this place by searching for fish and chips. Seeing they had a Wednesday special, I decided to put off my adventure from Roslyn to Ronkonkoma from Monday to Wednesday. I also found a bunch of things I was interested in to pad my experience and make the drive worth it. The waitress came quickly, got our drink orders, took a few minutes, and we started our order. I started off by getting the Fire Island Fries, the Flanagan's Nachos minus Jalapenos and Chipotle Ranch, sub the chicken in, the Fish and Chips special with additional pay for French Onion Soup and Curry sauce, and my friend got the Penne Alla Vodka add chicken. I asked how the Mozzarella sticks were and she said they were very popular so I got those as well. We'll start with my addition. The mozzarella sticks are good. Fried properly, not raw, not burnt, you get I believe 9 in an order. I greatly enjoyed them, however I would never pay more than a buck for a small brick of cheese. They were great, but not that great. The nachos were very barebones, something getting them at full capacity wouldn't have done much for. The queso is gross, and put me off from eating too much. The avocado was a single, sliced avocado which is fine, but pretty hard to eat with chips. The chicken was a bit of an issue, not tasting great. The fire island fries were good, I enjoyed the flavor change, but I feel like some cheddar would have made them from "good" to "amazing". Adding cheddar to my leftovers later confirmed that. The french onion soup was the shiniest turd I've had the experience of eating. It is the best of the worst, in every way. The cheese tastes a bit off, the broth did't have much flavor or salt, the onions were sour, and overall it looks tremendous, proper quality, but tasted like I was eating expired progresso with some sour cheese melted over it. I love proper French Onion soup, but this was very difficult to force myself to eat. The penne alla vodka was fine, but they could have added more salt, it just felt a little bland. The chicken was hard and dry. It didn't work with the dish itself, it felt like eating two different things at once, neither of them tasting as good as they should. The fish and chips were the real star. The fish was as crunchy as you expect, the chips were proper chips. The curry was hot but delicious, everything was absolutely fantastic. If I was reviewing on the fish and chips alone, this place would absolutely get five dtars. But they need to work on the other areas of their menu, they're heavily dragging this place down. I also got the donut with ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. A donut from dunkin would have been better in my opinion, and you would save $10 assembling everything yourself. Finally, the service. It was very here and there. At first, we were getting checked up on often, but at the end, there was a good 20 minute stint where they wouldn't show up at our table and we had to flag them over to get our check. I'm not rating this against them, but I would have liked a little more observation. It was a one and done place, with excellent fish and chips this side of the pond. If I was closer, this would be a Wednesday night thing, but I'm too far to justify that.
