After a horrible experience with Hines Park Lincoln Mercury, and Lincoln finally agreeing to exchange our vehicle, we wound up selecting from Jack Demmer Ford. I can tell you what a relief it was to deal with Ted Miller. Professional, competent, and one of the genuinely nicest guys you're going to meet! In spite of the fact that the dealership wouldn't be making any real revenue on the exchange (dealerships aren't even really required to participate in exchanges of this nature) Ted bent over backwards for us. You could tell he wanted to make up for the horrible customer service we had received prior to this. Ted found us a Flex that was comparable in value, and went to work doing his magic to make things happen. By the end of our deal, we were sold not only on his service, but Jack Demmer Ford in general. We will be moving to Alpena within a year, but when the time comes to get into a new vehicle, I will gladly take the time to drive down to purchase from Ted and Jack Demmer Ford. read more

I've dealt with Mark Movsesian for the purchase or lease of my last 4 vehicles at Demmer Ford. It is always a positive experience which for me means I drive out of the dealership that day w/a vehicle I am happy with. Mark is quick and to the point and there is not a whole lot of "fluff" to his sales style...so if you need that, you may want to try another salesman. But Mark is in the top nationwide, and I can see why. read more

Wonderful service department. I have leased a 2013 Escape and bought a used 2010 Taurus Limited. Both experiences were great. The lease went smoothly and was fairly quick. My used Taurus had a hidden issue in the A/C, but they were willing to work with me so I only had to pay less than 50% of the repair which I thought was fair. I will keep going back. read more

Buying my first car was quite an episode, but Jack Demmer Ford made the best out of it for me. It provided us with a warranty on the vehicle, and staff was extremely helpful. I would much rather spend a little bit extra money than get a junk car for $1000 off of Craigslist. I ended up paying $5800 for my first car, a beautiful Nissan Versa. All I have to say, I couldn't have done it without the assistance of the kind, patient salesperson, Lori. She gave off a very welcoming vibe as well as great advice when selecting my vehicle from the moment I scheduled a visit with her, to the signing of my car loan. read more

Horrible service at the body shop. The first time I went to pick up my car there was a dent on the opposite side that wasn't there when I dropped it off. So they had to fix that. The next time I went to pick it up the paint color didn't match. Then the third time I went to pick it up the paint still didn't match. They tried to tell me it was just the angle I was looking at it. But they ended up keeping it and fixing it. Now I got a bill for my rental cat they they were saposed to have payed since they had the car so long. I will never go back to their body shop again. read more

Three years ago I bought a "Certified" used vehicle from Jack Demmer Ford. What an effing nightmare this "Certified" vehicle became. Within 2 months of purchase the Heater Core broke and started leaking copious amounts of antifreeze onto the passenger floor area of the vehicle. I immediately drove it back to Jack's and checked with the service department in regards to the extended warranty we had purchased (the other review about high pressure sales pitches for warranties is 100% accurate.) The service tech says they will take the car, so I start unloading my child's car-seat and other some other things from the vehicle and I am waiting in the customer waiting area to get a shuttle to a rental place when the technician comes back to me saying heater cores are not covered by the extended warranty that they offer. So, I immediately step out to go talk with Lori, our saleswoman and she spoke with her manager or whatever. Long story short I get brushed off and was told there wasn't anything they could do to help me out with this "Certified Pre-Owned" vehicle. Poisonous chemicals leaking into the passenger floor of a "Certified" vehicle purchased literally 2 months prior is not reason enough for Jack Demmer or its management to take any action or step up their game on the customer service front. What a complete joke this dealership is. The vehicle continued to plague me with issues from then on out as well. Within 5 months of purchase I had to replace the brake drums. They looked fine on the outside but were rusted and corroded beyond belief on the inside, however that happens. A mechanic friend of mine said the drums were the worst he had ever seen, which is a powerful statement coming from a mechanic working in Detroit where cars are known for the did-repaired state they are driven in. So much for "Certified." As we come up to the 3rd anniversary of the purchase of this vehicle I am still livid with the garbage Jack Demmer Ford sold me and the complete lack of care from the staff. I have never been treated so badly, especially in regards to a large financial purchase, before or ever since. The last thing I need at this point is some made up online persona (Jacky D. - "Jack Demmer" - Coincidence?) to try to placate me over this issue. I challenge Lori, if she is still with the dealership, and her management to respond on here and take personal responsibility for this. read more

Our FIRST TIME EVER at this dealership, and LAST....We had an appointment this morning at 8am for an oil change and repair work for an issue that the 2.7, 2016 F150's are having with the oil pressure when it's at half throttle. We get to the dealership and they tell us that the technician called off so we'll have to come back Wednesday. No phone call to us to say, don't come there's nobody to do the job....And what they only have 1 technician?? That's crazy. There was a service guy with the girl at the desk when we were being told to come back who thought this was funny, as he was standing there laughing! We are steaming mad at this point. We left and called another dealership and they took our truck right in and told us that Jack Demmer should have told us to NOT drive the truck, which they didn't.... We called the service manager and he didn't answer....Not surprised....We left a message.... And he hasn't called us back. Maybe they should have used some of that money they put into the remodeling into customer service training and some better employees. read more

My mom test drove a car and told the salesman she wanted that car but in a different color. The salesman told her that would not be a problem and to come back and they will have the car ready, she came back to sign the papers and the car she had just signed for was not the car she thought she was leasing. The car was dirty and unprepared for her to take it home and incorrect. She did not realize EVERYTHING she wanted was not in this car and she had brought it home. She had gone back to resolve the issue the next day and was told that there was nothing they could do for her because she had signed a contract. Now she is stuck with this car that she did not want until her contract is up. My advice to anyone who goes here do not ask for anything special and look over the whole car but I think you are better off just not going here to purchase a car. As my mom said if this is how Ford treats their customers than why buy a Ford. If I could give 0 stars I would but it gets one since it's my only option. read more

We love the car, but the sales process was painful. We waited for over an hour to see someone and once we did get Mark Movsesian's attention, we were treated like he couldn't get us out of there soon enough. Mind you, we bought a loaded Explorer -- off the lot and in cash. He then proceeded to call us days later and try and say we owed more money (apparently, in his rush -- he miscalculated the total). He also forgot to put some accessories on our new car. We definitely will be buying more Fords, but from another dealership. read more

I took my truck up to this dealership. Mind you I drive a 2011 chevy Silverado. In great condition. I had asked three different people that work here to come appraise my truck that I was looking to buy a F-250. Not one person would step foot outside to come look. All three told me to take it to a chevy dealer that they were not interested. Mind you you I was interested in spending $80,000 plus dollars here and they did not want my business. read more

I ordered a 2014 Focus ST a few months back from Marty Pearson and bought the car from him in June. I've had the car now for a while and about a month ago noticed that the ST badge in the driver side door sill was never there but was on the passenger side. I went to Marty about two weeks ago about the whole situation, he told me that he would talk to the service department about it and he would get back to me shortly after and then get back to me. It's now been two weeks and I haven't heard anything. A part of my car was not installed during the build process and I just want it taken care of. I have no complaints for sales but I'm beginning to have an issue with the service department which seems to be no surprise judging by other reviews. I want it taken care of because there should be a certain quality standard Ford goes by when building their cars and they aren't showing for it by forgetting to put things on the cars. It's very annoying that I haven't heard anything about it yet. And I want it taken care of! read more

My husband took his 2014 Ford Focus to get the transmission issue fixed in it while it was under warranty. They told him it would take 2-3 days. We called them on the third day and they told us that our car hadn't even been touched or looked at. Needless to say we never got our car back until 6 days later. ( a week and 2 days) Extremely rude manager in service department wouldn't help us out much. Made our lives miserable for a week. Unhappy customers. Never going back there again and never recommending you guys to anybody!!!!! read more

I own a 2010 Taurus Limited I bought from Jack Demmer Ford. The buying experience was alright we knew what we wanted and ordered the car rather than buy from the lot. We bought the maximum extended warrenty for this car, so when the chrome on the left rear tail light bezzle started to peel off I thought wow take this car in and they'll fix me up. Well when I first took the car in the service rep says yes it will have to be replaced but we have to order the part and we will call you when it comes in. I waited two months and nothing no call explaining the delay no nothing. I called them and the person I talked to says yes theres a back log and they will call me. wait another month nothing no call. I call again and nothing but what seems a run around. Nows its been almost six months and i'm running around with a thirty five thousand dollar car with grey tail light bezzels that should be chrome. They're service department leaves alot to be desired. I hope they monitor these reviews and call me. read more

Worst experience I ever had at a dealership. I leased my vehicle from them 2.5 years ago, and received something in the mail stating they were "aggressively" looking for used cars. I contacted my sales rep, and told him what my payoff was on the vehicle and asked if that was possible because I did not want to drive in if we were too far apart. They stated that the car should appraise for the payoff value. I drove out to the dealership, and they offered me $1,000 less than the value we discussed over the phone. When I spoke to the general manager, he stated that it was his fault and that the used car person didn't know he had given me a value. When I told him I was concerned about the whole issue, and it felt like a "bait and switch" scenario, he got angry. I ended up calling Ford customer service and registered my concerns. Apparently, Ford sent a letter to the dealership, and the general manager called me and said that I was a liar, screamed at me and then hung up on me. I still can't believe that the general manager yelled at a potential customer and then hung up on me. I would suggest going to another Ford dealership. read more
