About a year ago, I came here to get a vehicle inspection to drive for Uber. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they did this for free. The customer service was excellent. I had a claim paid for by a company that did the damage to my car and all I wanted was belle tire to look at it and tell me if they could do it ...Took my vehicle to them at 8:45 today and at 1 o'clock they still haven't even looked at it and all I wanted them to do is tell me what was wrong and I was the third car at their facility and I was told I'd be looked at in about an hour and a half Never happened. Bought 2 sets of 4 tires in last 1quarter of 2024. Had appointment both times and waited over 2 hours the first time and 3.5 hours last time, no apologies, rude and did not care about the appointment. Quoted me on 1 type/brand, put on another without my ok and told me when I was paying. I guess they thought I was dumb, not knowing I spent 10 years in the industry and knew the owners when they had 2 locations. Now have a leak in one of the new tires with the road hazard warranty want me to leave the car/tire for 1.5 DAYS! What a joke, bought a 3rd set of 4 from Walmart when one was destroyed on the highway and they were they would get me in, so I bought 4 not 1, I have not had any issues with them and time for rotations etc. After many years of going to Belle and with 4 vehicles there is always work, I'm done with them. Last week, I had the unfortunate circumstance to be forced by a fast braking woman into a pothole the size of the Cumberland Gap. If you've never driven on the lodge and tried to exit at Larned Cobo in Downtown Detroit, I highly suggest you avoid the right shoulder. At any rate, one of my front rims suffered greatly for this off road adventure and after changing my tire on Woodward Ave. with the rush hour crowd watching me, I took my battered Malibu Maxx to my neighborhood Belle Tire and had a great experience. First of all, the particular five-spoke steel rims for my vehicle are VERY expensive. Thankfully, the Belle Tire staff gave me numerous options and put together a few different packages to give me the best possible value for my hard-earned Detroit dollars. I ended up going with a brand new set of Aluminum Alloys since the set was only a bit more than the cost of one new rim. The Belle Tire staff also gave me best recommendations to balance the brand new tire with the others which are only now starting to enter the end of their life cycle. He was honest, let me know I didn't need to buy four new tires, but recommended I come back in 10,000 miles or less to be sure all my tires would still be on a similar cycle. The rims were not in stock, but they got them in the same day and completed the work. Even got a free brake and alignment inspection. It was a great experience and I never felt once like I was taken advantage of. read more

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews here! I've entrusted this Belle Tire with my car care for the past two years. They have always been friendly and accommodating. I appreciate that when I call in with an issue, the staff (I usually speak with Matt) will take the time to answer any questions I might have without being patronizing. I have never felt pressured to complete a service if I do not want to, unlike so many other repair shops. The prices for their services are very reasonable. A few other perks are the free air and the warranties that are available! I've had to use the Road Hazard warranty twice and it has always been a hassle-free experience. It is worth paying for, especially with the roads we have in Michigan. My experience with Belle Tire has always been fantastic! Got my car checked out thinking it was the alternator and it was like I thought. But they wanted to also put a new belt on as well which I just replaced last month so I didn't need that and my alternator is on top of everything It's so easy to do the total they had was close to 400$ I said Noway I took my car got me a alternator for 100$ and had friend do it for 20$ plus I didn't need belt they lied! This place was the most unfriendliest place I have ever been too in a long time. I had a blow out. I came last minute but if you close at 6pm then help people until 6pm without it seeming to be a problem. Then when I pay I had questions about what was charges. One guy couldn't explain my receipt to me. In fact he was on his cell phone and it seemed as though me asking questions was a nuisances. Another man had to explain why the extra charges appeared. I had to return to get my tires rotated, I hated to do that because I knew what I was going to get upon my arrival. Yes they were just as unfriendly as before. Bought a new set of tires for my CR-V here in the spring. I have all of my service done at the dealership, but they really wanted to hose me on the tires. Belle Tire undeniably had the lowest price on the Michelins that I wanted. I took care of what I could online, and they were ready when I showed up. I think I was able to pick my car back up within about an hour. Not too shabby. My wife and I have been buying tires here for years and are thankful for the service that Belle Tire has provided us with over the years. We had a set of Michelins put on our van 3 yrs. ago, we always get them rotated when needed, but noticed a vibration just before going on vacation to Ky. last month, so we took the van B.T. they rebalanced our tires for us, and wow! what a difference it made in the ride! Been there 3 times for tires and although they are in a great location for me I'm going to just take my future business elsewhere. The only reason is the service. The first 2 times I took my car in for tires and the people behind the counter acted as if they were doing me a favor selling me a tire. They were rude and treated me as a nuisance. I let it all go. This last time my wife had to take my car since I was stuck working. They treated her even worse. Just overly rude and dis-courteous. She asked what the 20$ fee on the receipt was and the gentlemen behind the counter had the gall to tell her it's for putting the tire on the car and ROTATING THEM. Brought my vehicle up here just to swap out tires. They called me to inform me that they tripped my car alarm and told me my car just went haywire. I asked them what they possibly could have done to it because I've never set my car alarm off by myself before and they proceeded to become defensive and very unprofessional. WARNING, DANGER, STAY AWAY!!!I was trying to find a place I could trust. I had upper ball joint replaced on my daughters car,here, reasonable price, worked seemed to be good. (I do quite a bit of work on my own cars, time permitting. I could have replaced this myself but was working 7 days/week at the time) Decided to take the car back to Belle when it needed a front bearing. On my daughters car you cannot buy hub and bearing assemble as one, the bearing has to be pressed in. Again a semi reasonable price. My daughter picked car up and when she got home said there was a weird nose in front end. Took it back, I was told a strut mount bolt,at bottom of axle, was loose and they did not know how that happened. 1ST LIE! They loosened bolt and forgot to torque back up. Then the salesman tells me something is wrong with the front end, I have a negative camber(front tire at top is pointing inward) He tells me that they don't know why its like that and they don't "fix" things like that.THAT WAS LIE # 2. I drove it home and checked the wheel spindle(steering knuckle) and it was bent to crap! Took to the dealership and they confirmed what I thought, the spindle was bent when the bearing was pressed in. They actually said they had done the same thing before by accident but certainly would never try to lie about it or let a customer drive off the lot with the car in that condition. Some might ask why I did not take car back to Belle and have them own up to the wheel spindle. Simple answer! I no longer trusted them ,why would I want them working on my car!!! As a side note Belle tire also told me struts and shocks needed to be replaced. Dealership laughed and said all was fine no replacement needed!!! read more
