It's good to know the legend of the used car salesman is still alive at Law Auto. My wife went to see a minivan they had on the lot. Upon starting the car, it started to squeal like a banshee. She was told the car had been sitting there for quite a while. Then a mechanic came out and said they would need to fix the serpentine belt. A quick and easy 5 minute fix. No problem. When my wife made them a cash offer for the car, the sales guy came back and said they could not do that because they just got the car. Ummmm, I thought the belt was bad because it had been sitting there for a long time. Truth is, their parking lot floods like a lake when it rains and the belt most likely got wet because the sound started to fade after a test drive. So, it had been sitting in water....you know, unless you leave the hoods of the cars open when it rains. Get it together guys. read more

We had a great experience 5 yrs ago when we bought a 2000 Ford Taurus for cash, so when we decided to try and finance a newer car, we went back to Law auto. I didn't get my hopes up, knowing I had bad credit, but Ian worked with us and we were approved. You then deal with the owner Vince, who it becomes very clear with, you do not matter; only his bottom line. Law Auto Sales website screams and flashes "GET PRE-APPROVAL IN SECONDS! NO SS NUMBER OR DOB NEEDED!!" Really? How does one get pre-approved for auto financing without giving your SS# or DOB? Anyway, I said to myself I'll bite and low and behold within 10 seconds I was already preapproved ! How magical! So I decided to drive the one hour way to their dealership and look at a truck for $7000. I wanted it and told him I would even put $1000 down on it. He told me he needed to check my credit first, which came back at 656. Not the best but not the worst. I waited to get the keys to the truck but he told me he needed to get financing approval first. But wait, their magical website SCREAMS that you are already preapproved within seconds, and I was! YAY! But no. Two days later he called me and told me that despite talking to 2 lenders he was not able to get financing for me. But wait, what about that magical PREAPPROVAL that screams on their website? It's a sham, a scam and a way to get you in the door. Shame on you for false advertising. read more
