This was not my first time throwing axes but it was my first time at this particular axe throwing spot and I had a wonderful time. I booked online for my party and it was smooth interaction. We went around 3:30pm. After we started throwing axes, it got quite hot in there so I asked if they could turn the air on and they did. Then we got to throw Ninja stars which was really dope. I now feel as if I could be a ninja lol. Our attendant was personable and we enjoyed ourselves. Definitely plan to return the next time I'm in Myrtle Beach. read more

Phenomenal experience. The gentleman working was super friendly, high energy, and a great teacher. They have individual fenced lanes or two board lanes. Each throwing area has a small high top space for your drinks, phones, etc with stools. It's BYOB. Quick lesson from Mike but it is very helpful. Throwing the ax was a blast and once you get in the rhythm it very fun. After a few games the guy brought us stars. Another quick lesson. Great time throwing the stars and its a nice change of weight, movement, etc. Then we were introduced to throwing knives, another quick lesson. Knives were definitely the most challenging. Lastly, he puts up balloons for new targets to throw whatever you want. Never felt rushed. Always felt safe. Great price for the fun we had. Will be back for sure with a group. read more

Cool place. I brought 4 kids with me (two 13 and two 11). We had a lot of fun! It was $25 per hour per person. The two employees were super friendly and great with the kids. We threw axes, throwing stars, and templars. All fun! They also had a neat little old school arcade area with N64 on projector screen and free arcade machines. They had some food, drinks, and a bar too. We're in North Myrtle on vacation, but we'll go back next time we're in town. read more

Rob and I were shown the ropes, and the left to develop our skills. The owner/coach stoped by a few times to check w us, give pointers and additional fun challenges. We were trying to find something to do after dinner at Rockefellers on a Monday night in NMB and looked across the street to see Jacks Axe Throwing. We went in to check it out and found the very helpful and pleasant owner (assuming Jack?). He made the experience fantastic! He patiently showed us how to throw and brought out different axes to see what worked best. You can tell he is in the right business and really wants people to have a good time. Had so much fun here!! Not much in the way of safety precautions and instructions, however no one was injured in any party during my time there so it's probably okay. Great, enthusiastic staff, you can tell they're passionate about their job. When you first arrive you go over proper technique when throwing the axe, and from there you're on your own. Later they come back and put balloons on the target and you can throw ninja stars, which is my personal favorite. read more

My husband, daughter, and soon to be son-in-law went without me. I had no interest in going. They LOVED it sending me videos while they were there. Two nights later, they were still talking about it. So they DRUG me along. I agreed to be a good sport and go to watch without being too bored. It was fun to watch. Let me tell you, I eventually, timidly asked if I could try. I started with throwing cards, it was okay. Then I tried throwing the "stars" (there is a fancy name, but I cannot remember). I am NOW getting excited about this throwing game. The stars were so easy to throw and STICK in the target. Eventually, I walked over and picked up an axe. Let me just say, I WANT TO GO AGAIN. Throwing is an exhilarating experience! The owner was so encouraging and helpful. You can tell he loves his business/sport and wants to share it. While I was having fun throwing the axe, he brought a balloon for me to throw at. Wow. This was soooo much fun! I went with my hubby and another couple. Honestly I thought the men would be throwing while the ladies watched. (Just thought we wouldn't be into it.) Ages 50-11 We went on a whim seeing the place as we drove by on the way to dinner. So many things to throw, not just axes. My family and I went in and were one of the only ones in the whole building. We waited as,what I assume was the owner and an employee, discussed another customer. They finally turned to us with no greeting. I preceded to ask about prices. He, the owner, stated for 1 hr 25.00. I really didn't want to throw axes for 1 hr so I asked about 30 mins. This seemed to aggravate him and he responded: " This is not a carnival and I can make money off of you to cover my expenses in 30 mins ". Then he continued to tell me how if my son broke one of his $35.00 axes that me paying for 30 mins would not cover that or the plywood he threw the ax at. He continued to give me a break down of his overhead and his " business model ". I continued to listen. Eventually I just said no thank you and left. I do not recommend this place. I would think as a business you would rather make some money compared to none at all. read more
