We came and tried to get a white claw, i have a completely valid NC ID and the man wouldn't accept it stating he can only accept horizontal ids (false according to google since mine is not expired and im clearly over 21 according to the id) Then my boyfriend tried to get a beer with his HORIZONTAL id and all he said was "no. not doing that." when he gave him what he was asking for and was still denied service for HIMSELF not for me. A fun course to play with fun banked shots. A good way to practice not playing on a flat course. 18 holes. Nearly empty when we went, but loads of fun. Be prepared to walk steep trails made of uneven rock. Not Ada friendly! But there are pleanty of benches and ropes to help you climb. We really enjoyed it ( 3 of us about 70. ) read more

Really great putt putt course - which is probably best exemplified by the adult couples that we saw running through the full 18-holes multiple times, back-to-back. The course is in good shape, the holes are challenging enough without being too much or too similar, and it's a relatively cute area to look at. However, it also is lacking in much shade and has quite a few stairs and uneven terrain, so keep that in mind for safety and outdoor temperatures. Would highly recommend though. :) PROS: -Pretty well-maintained course. None of the greens were peeling and all of the barricades were all there. No blocks were loose or uncomfortable. -The decor was cute too. Unnaturally blue water, giant animal statues, beach trees and plants, and water fountains are pretty much covering every inch of this place. -Pretty good variety of obstacles. It isn't just a standard, flat course. There are some hills, some rocks to go around, and lots of changes in elevation to play with. It gives you a nice change of pace from a lot of the old-school, standard holes. -No two holes are particularly similar. Honestly, it feels like 18 separate, different challenges. -Benches at every hole - sometimes two benches. This was SO helpful as we were getting to some of the later holes. Everyone was really hot and sweaty. CONS: -Minimal shade. Really, really minimal shade. Either come on a cloudy day or twilight because 80-degrees felt death-like. -The first half of the course borders the very-busy thoroughfare in Myrtle Beach. It isn't the end of the world, but it can be hard to hear your teammates in the earlier parts of the course. It gets better as you go. -Lots of uneven stairs. They've done the best they could, but the course does change in elevation - a lot - over the final 9 holes. There are stairs with no ramps - and some don't even have railings. Definitely need some stability here and the ability to go up and down a flight of stairs for the final 3 holes. read more

Decent course, not flashy but the mini golf alone was fun for me and my girlfriend yesterday. However, when walking to the desk the front attendant sat on his phone and blew us off for around 5 minutes with a nearly empty course, and upon paying for general entry acted like we were a massive inconvenience to his time. My girlfriend proceeded to order a seltzer and provide her ID to him, which he denied for the reason of it being vertical. Obviously this is completely untrue, it wasn't expired, it was real ID, and makes sense that it's vertical since she's newly 21. She then pointed out that we've been to multiple places with no issues on her end, and he said "well you should go back there then." This is completely unprofessional. I then ordered a beer with a horizontal ID being 23 years old and he denied that as well with no explanation and another sarcastic remark towards me. With multiple other courses in the area I'd highly recommend to choose those instead and the owner to choose their employees more wisely, there's absolutely no excuse to have this poor of customer service especially when we approached with nothing but respect. read more

GRUMPY CESSPOOL SAFARI. EW. Zero stars. NOT FAMILY-FRIENDLY. Avoid avoid avoid. Rude discourteous staff. Teens running all over the place. Not a relaxing environment for children and families. DON'T LET THE CUTE ANIMALS FOOL YOU!! It's a dumpster, not a safari!! Lots of teenagers hanging around holes too long, staff does nothing. It was hot and sunny. I was with my wife and 2 and 5 year old boys. So we played through and skipped around a bit, to get to the shady bits first, since it was a hot day and we didn't want to bother others behind us, due to the young kids running around, being all hyper, etc... how kids are. When we came around back to the start, Mr. Stereotypically Disgruntled Old Dude at the front (is he the owner/manager? I wonder...) gave us a lot of guff about it. When I reasoned with him about the heat and the little kids, he said something curt and dismissive like, "I'll let you go this time but don't do it again," while rolling his eyes at me with an, "I've got my eye on you," type of attitude, as if he was expecting an apology or something... ? UM OK, Mr. Lord of the Flies.... I shan't return..... I didn't like that attitude of his.. why should I feel guilty or apologize about playing a casual mini golf course I paid $36+ for?? NOT relaxing at all... so I gave my clubs back and told him (respectfully) that I was going to play mini-golf somewhere else from now on. His response was to get super sarcastic with me about how the holes are numbered 1 through 18. huh?? really, guy??? Rude staff... implying that customers don't know how to count... hassling families on vacation because you don't like your job or whatever... Real smooth dude, thanks for your chipper mood, it really rubs customers the wrong way... Yeah, don't get off your butt to bother the teens but hassle the families. EW. I asked for my money back, as a matter of principle. Of course he refused. When I asked him why he was giving us so much trouble, but doing nothing about those teenagers hanging around on the same hole for an hour, he literally said, "Shit happens." Super unprofessional rude staff. There are a hundred other mini golf courses around Myrtle Beach. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Anywhere else. Please. I suggest families steer clear of Jungle Safari, it's a mess of teenagers and grumpy old dudes. Families: do yourselves a favor and drive on down the road to a more family-friendly, kid-oriented atmosphere than this Grumpy Cesspool Safari!! I visited June 21 in Myrtle Beach by the way!! The mini golf attendant Roger was a complete jerk and very unprofessional. As a big family of 8 we were told to split up into 2 groups and which was understandable. Roger continued to follow and watch us as we played, making the experience really uncomfortable. We felt rushed and couldn't enjoy the game for what it was. Roger made a threatening comment saying that he would "turn the lights off on us" if we didn't go fast enough. As someone who goes to play mini golf every-time we visit Myrtle Beach, we will not return here. I would advise everyone else as well too that the customer service here is very poor. Compared to other local mini golf this one had very nice bathrooms but had several downsides. First. It was all outdoors and not the best choice for a rainy day. Good news is when raining it is empty. The course conditions and staff were pretty well up to snuff but the landscaping was minimally maintained and the decorations were underwhelming. They do have an all day play option and might be worth the expense if you're looking for dollars per hour of fun ratio. read more

Cute mini-golf park with a jungle like setting. Little kids love the place filled with giraffes, baby elephants and zebras. In fact my daughter was more interested climbing the animal sculptures than playing golf. This is a great 1 hour family entertainment in a very relaxing setting. It's cheap too (unlike the much coveted Ripley's attractions) with just $8 for adult. Can't tell how much is for kids. The guy at the ticket booth let Lana get in for FREE! We got through the 18 holes pretty fast (didn't keep a score nor did we follow the rules). Gotta admit the golf course felt challenging at times. I'm glad I had my 4 years old with me and not my husband. We get too competitive. Anyway we (and all other families in the park that night) had a great time. Safari Jungle is a good choice for a relaxing and very affordable family outing. read more

Mini golf at the beach is a tradition! This is a nice family friendly place, variety of holes ranging in difficulty. I would recommend going at night so you're not sweltering in the heat. There were benches between to holes to rest on while waiting for the next family to finish up, but a few extra benches would have been nice. The green guy they call KTF aka Big Kermit and his sexy ole moose girl went here over the summer. This was a last second gig because the big guy and his lady were on the search for the best mini golf to do. The place was really nice with upscale bathrooms. The parking lot was big as we were able to park our horse and buggy in it with no problems. The course was fun with real life animals making all their noises. I think they were just happy to see us out of the animal kingdom because a frog and a moose are something else ;). the course had super fun holes especially the big drop in which my moosey lost. This was the start of our mini golf experience as the big kermgawd took his first Win here over his moose and the reviews and places have kept going on. I try not to give out 5-star ratings unless a place really stands-out as being better than similar places in the same area. We visited three different minigolf places during our week-long vacation in Myrtle Beach. Jungle Safari stuck out not only as the best of this week in this town, but it struck me as the best I've encountered in multiple spring break trips to multiple destinations. The grounds are well-maintained and the decor is simple but not cheesy. I was especially glad that this is one of the few minigolf places NOT decorated in a pirate theme. I loved the variety of slopes and obstacles from one hole to the next. The holes were also very forgiving in that if your ball was close enough to the edge, it would roll in. I think all four members of my family got their best scores ever on this course, and we walked away feeling proud of our scores and how well we had done, and we had fun doing it. Each of us got a hole-in-one at some point during this course, but the slopes and obstacles made it challenging and not seem like it was too simplistic or easy. read more

Very quick.. because no one is there. Very cheap... because the greens are terrible. Very friendly, because well.. that's just southern hospitality. Jungle Safari Golf is probably one of the easiest putt-putt golf courses I have ever played, and I have played many in my lifetime. But, if you're looking for a quick, unchallenged game for you and your kids, this is the place to be. I think that if Jungle Safari fixed the greens and maybe made the course a bit more difficult (i.e. add objects to the greens, create more breaks and etc.) this place wouldn't be a bad hangout spot for adults to get their mini golf on. read more

Prices are low-average for mini-golf in the area. Course is old-school without much in the way of gimmicks but the holes play very well and it is possible to get low scores. It is very nicely landscaped and maintained and gives a good value. Has a "play all day" rate if you come earlier in the day. Had a great time with my wife and 8 and 5 year old sons. This is a great place for small children. My kids were dog tired when we went here but they still were able to make the whole course. They loved the animals and I was impressed that for being in full sun the animals were not terribly faded and the turf seemed well kept or perhaps, they just replace it often enough. We really enjoyed ourselves and it was a great price and if you are in the area and this is something you were thinking of doing or you just need some time to kill this is a great place to go! My family and I were disappointed that the greens were tore up, bricks in the walls missing that the ball would go through and hole 7 was the worst the net to catch golf balls was shredded and we lost 4 balls. Nicely maintained course; holes were decorated nicely without being over the top and cheesy. Each of my family of four got a hole in one making the two kids happy. The gentleman at the cashier kiosk was nice. Not overly challenging but perfect for tweens, early teens, young kids. My husband and I had fun with it too. read more

My friends wanted to come here and I wasn't disappointed. This place is owned by an older couple and they're just adorable and sweet. You can pay with cash or card and there are bathrooms, vending machines, ice cream freezer right near the front desk. The golf course was a lot of fun, and the equipment was up to par with different sizes for the putters. The water in the stagnant pools were a bit of an eyesore and I was terrible to slip and fall in it but it's a part of the experience. I had a fun time! read more
