Yelp 100 Challenge -#35 Wonder Works is a 4 level arcade offering different attractions and things to do on each level. Wonder Works is great for a first date or even a fun family outing. 1st Floor includes the lobby, gift shop, Wonder Cafe, Hurricane Shack, Xtreme 360 Bikes, Physical Challenge Zone, and party room. 2nd Floor includes Laser Tag. If you have a little child, you may be able to take turns and go in different heats. 3rd Floor includes the wall of illusions, XD Theater, draw alive, Wonder Coaster, Bed of Nails, Bubble Lab, and STEM Room. 4th Floor includes space discovery, ropes course, arcade games that you purchase to play, art of Dr Seuss, Imagination Lab, and Interactive Sandbox. My favorite was the digital Wonder Coaster. It is an indoor ride that follows along a video of a roller coaster flipping you and spinning you like the real thing. I recommend wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing so you are able to ride majority of the attractions inside. You can also add on the Wonder Works casebook and slice different riddles as you explore the four levels.
I am writing this review as a concerned grandmother to warn other families about what happened to my two grandchildren, ages 10 and 12, during our visit. While we were at this business, a grown male employee made a sexually inappropriate comment directly to my grandchildren. The remark was explicit, disturbing, and completely unacceptable in any setting, but especially in a place that presents itself as family‑friendly. My priority was getting the children away from him and making sure they felt safe, but this incident has stayed with them and with me. A business that allows an adult employee to speak to children in a sexual way is not a safe environment, and parents and caregivers deserve to know this before bringing their kids here. I will not be returning, and I urge other families to take this experience seriously when deciding where to spend their time and money. If management chooses to keep people like this on staff or fails to address such behavior immediately and decisively, it tells you everything you need to know about how little they value children's safety.
We absolutely love this place!There's always so much to do, and we always end up spending at least a couple of hours here just participating in all the activities. Great place for families! The staff is always helpful and the place is always clean.
I visited WonderWorks Myrtle Beach and overall, it was just okay--definitely more of a one-and-done experience. It's a fun spot for kids, but as an adult, I wouldn't feel the need to go back. It can get pretty crowded, so I'd recommend going early on a weekday instead of the weekend if you can. A few of the exhibits weren't working during my visit, which was a little disappointing. While it's entertaining, I do think the price is a bit high--around $35 per person would feel more reasonable than $40. Overall, it's a decent way to spend some time, especially for families, but not something I'd go out of my way to do again.
This peculiar, columned building looks like some force of nature plucked it up, turned it upside-down, and then dropped it back where it was found. The inverted structure, called WonderWorks, is actually a children's museum. It's located inside the sprawling mega attraction Broadway at the Beach. it takes the concept of a science museum to a new level, engaging kids of all ages in learning while having tons of fun. The interactive exhibits are organized by theme into WonderZones, which focuses on topics like natural disasters, physical challenges, lights and sound, space exploration, and art. A fun experience from the moment you spot the iconic "upside down" building on the boardwalk, with palm trees growing from the sidewalk above you...
My girls had a blast here. Free parking and so much to do inside. My babygirl is short so a few of the rides she couldn't do. They enjoyed the bubble station, laser tag and playing the matching game. Everything was clean and the staff were all friendly. Although it was a ton of people inside the line moved fast and I felt safe the entire time.
I really wasn't sure what to expect. I kind of assumed it was like a science museum which is exactly what I felt There are multiple floors that have all sorts of activities on them and I will say they are pretty hands on. We love The Titanic exhibit as well as the sports. The only thing about the sports is it takes a while because it's only one person at a time. We did the hurricane winds which didn't feel as bad as I thought. We didn't really do any of the rides because my kids aren't into those. They really loved The bubble lab and being able to go inside the bubbles. I loved all the interactive pieces and they really loved laser tag, especially the guy who worked there who was beyond friendly and very nice to both of my kids and my mom who didn't play. I would definitely be back
We were looking for something to do when we were in North Myrtle this seemed like a fun time. We signed up to do the Soar and Explore combo which was a decent deal 34.99 to do the ropes course and zip line. We spent a decent amount of time of the ropes course, the kids enjoyed this. Then the zip line was fun but really short, so be prepared to be a bit underwhelmed on the zip line. Overall it's a fun experience.
This place is not expensive at all, in my opinion. It's a great value for your money, especially for kids activities. My siblings absolutely loved it. There are so many activities to choose from that you can easily spend over three hours there without getting bored. You'll lose track of time before you know it. You'll want to try all the activities, and they're all incredibly fun and interesting. This is an amazing place to entertain your kids and keep them off the TV. I'm already looking forward to going back.
This was an unexpected surprise while visiting Broadway at the Beach. You can't miss it with its upside down building. Inside it's 4 floors full of interactive science experiments, tests of knowledge, indoor rope course, laser tag, short educational movies....and many other things to keep your interest whether you are an adult or kid. They also have an outdoor zip line that crosses the lake but was closed during my weekday visit.
SO SO FUN and worth the money! $30 a person to enter the exhibits which include laser tag, an indoor ropes course, and a bunch of rides and interactive games! If you pay a bit more, you can also do the outdoor ropes course and zip lining! A great place for both adults and kids, my partner and I definitely learned a lot! My favorite thing I did was either the indoor ropes course OR the astronaut training challenge! Never in my life did I think I would be able to do that, but I did here at Wonderworks! WonderWorks is really cool. We took the family to visit and they had tons of interesting things to play with. I work my glow-in-the-dark Nikola Tesla t-shirt that my daughter bought for me. In some sections of WonderWorks, there are black lights and my t-shirt illuminated nicely. There was a picture of Nikola Tesla, so I had my daughter take a picture of me with that picture. We visited the 6-D movie theater, which was pretty sweet. We threw baseballs at a screen to digitally strike out batters, while radar measured how fast we threw. We tried to decipher codes, we played with sand, read stuff, and generally had a good time. We probably spend 1.5 hours here and it was well worth it on a busy day in Myrtle Beach.
This may have been a highlight of our trip! We came here on a rainy day and it was well worth every penny. The interactive exhibits had something for everyone, parents and children. We spent 4 hours here and it didn't even feel like so much time had passed, we will definitely be back to do the outdoor zip line on our next trip, if the weather permits

This place has a lot of interactive and fun exhibits for kids. I would gear it towards 10 and up though. Theres a few things for younger kids like the bubble station and a few others but to make it worth $30 I wouldnt go unless you kids meet the height requirement for all the attractions. Thankfully kids 4 and under are free admission but honestly if you have older and younger kids the younger ones are going to get bored. Also a lot of the attractions didnt work exactly as described or were not clean. They had an arcade near the ropes course for people waiting but it was pay per play which I wasn't going to do after paying $130 for my family to enter. They should make the arcade games included with admission. read more

Cool experience. There were a lot of things not working or out of order. There were not enough employees to keep the disrespectful people from being disrespectful to others and the property. The associate at the movie theatre was not friendly at all. There were a lot of cool things that were neat and informative. Overall it was fun, but too expensive for what it is. Definitely in a touristy area. We went during dinner time and it wasn't too busy. read more

We went here in a Thursday's afternoon. This place is located at Broadway at the beach. There is plenty of parking. The tickets were $32 person. We spent about two hours exploring. When you walk in they take your picture and have a few options to pick from later. As you walk around they have many interactive items you can play with as you walk along the museum. There were about 3 floors to go through. They had a bunch of interactive stuff to do. And when we went it was so quite there was only a few people in there. We were able to see everything and take our time to read, and explore the items at the exhibit. They had exhibits from titanic facts, to throwing football, baseball, playing electronic twister. They had rides you can explore. They had a bike ride that turned you upside down if you pedaled fast enough which was cool. They had a 6D ride that was cool they put you in the ride and lock you in and it's a digital roller coaster ride. This was a lot of fun and even my 6'3 boyfriend was able to ride it with me. These rides do have a height and weight restriction on them. They also have a 3D ride when they show you a 5 min little movie and the seats move and wind blows. Since it was slow in there we were able to see all 5-6 of the movies. You put in the 3D glasses and buckle up and hold on the the side of your seat. It was nice. Some of the movies were riding through the wall of China on a bike. They had some for kids where a little boy was riding his jet pack to school and you got a flying affect it was cool. As you walk through the exhibit they have hand sanitizer all around and you will need it bc everything in here you touch. The staff was doing a great job of wiping everything down. But I can just imagine how it would be on a busy day with a bunch of people running thorough that place. I would say get here early so you can experience everyone without it being so crazy. Since it was slow we were able to try everything and take our time to enjoy it. This place even had a small arcade, laser tag and a rope course at the end for people to play. They even had some little stuff for kids like maybe 4yrs and under to play with. One thing I thought was cool was they had a digital air hockey game. I hadn't seen that and thought it was cool plus you don't have to worry about having a flying puck going every wear. This place is cool for adults and children to explore they have a little bit of everything for someone. If you like to try new things and have fun doing it this is a place to check out. read more

We came here on Christmas Day with the family to get some fun out. This location is way better than the Orlando one. Was able to get on this gravity ride , do laser tag and the 6D ride. It was pretty cool and fun. Would definitely come here again plus you need to give yourself a few hours to do and explore everything read more

We hosted our son's 3rd birthday party at this location, and we had a wonderful experience. Everything was taken care of, aside from the cake that we brought with us, so we were able to just focus on enjoying the day with our child and guests. Everyone had a blast; they have something for all ages. Worth every penny. read more

This place is located in the Broadway at the Beach complex with tons of other attractions. With that comes a lot (no pun intended) of parking. This museum was very enjoyable. It has something for kids of all ages. My 3 year old loved it. As its description states, it is very interactive. It has 3 levels packed with interactive exhibits. The first level has a few adventure rides and a hurricane simulator. The second level has a bubble station, a walk-on piano, a dance room and a bed of nails the you can lay on. The third level has a ropes course (extra fee), a space exhibit, a toddler area and video games. We spent about 2 hours in there. You are able to reenter the museum on the same ticket the entire day with a stamp on your hand. My favorite exhibits were the mock hurricane, the bed of nails, the dance cam and the toddler area. They have military discount and I am sure you can occasionally find a Groupon deal. I recommend finding a deal before you go. read more

Had a good time in wonderworks in SC a couple of years back. It was a super cool place and very very good for kids. Kids loved it and had fun . The unique structure at the outside is different and awesome. Parking was ok . Fair price ... thumbs up... read more
