I've never done a mirror maze before, so this was a first for me -- and it was really fun! Backstage Mirror Maze turned out to be a great surprise and definitely something different to do while walking around Broadway at the Beach. The setup is creative, the lights and reflections keep you guessing, and it's a good laugh trying to figure out which way is actually the right way. It was a little pricier than I expected at $20 per person, but when you think about it, that's $40 total for two people, and it includes a wristband that lets you go through as many times as you want. If you're spending a few hours (or the whole day) at Broadway, that unlimited access makes it absolutely worth it -- especially for families or anyone who likes a bit of lighthearted adventure. Overall, we had a great time. It's a fun, unique attraction that breaks up all the eating and shopping, and I'd love to come back and do it again when they have it decked out for the holidays -- I can only imagine how cool that must look with all the seasonal lights and décor. read more

First time playing inside a mirror maze. We went around 10 pm Saturday night, line was short. Tickets were $18 per person, with unlimited access. Customer were required to were gloves to keep the mirrors free from fingerprints. The maze is colorful and well designed. Mirrors are very clear, almost impossible to detect without touching. They also use music and blackouts to make it more fun. Friendly staff, encouraging everyone to complete the maze properly. read more

I took my family and friends here. We did 2 of their escape rooms, the 'haunted house' and 'help save Christmas'. The haunted house was with the older kids, 12-14 yr olds w/ adults, the Christmas one was for 8-11 yr old w/ Adults. Had a good time going through here with my 5-year old. Maybe a little expensive for the experience but I wanted to do this with him so it was no issue. Definitely took us a little while to get out but it felt shorter than I expected. I think they know that so when you get to the end you turn around and do it in reverse, which is harder than it sounds. I was hoping there was a little more to this but if you're looking for a way to kill 15-20 mins with the kids, this isn't bad. read more

OK...I am absolutely not a mirror maze expert. That's important to note. Having said that, I'd guess this to be a good entry / first attempt mirror maze. Lighting was fun, music was repetitive, and the design was pretty basic. That said, it was definitely enjoyable. Perks: -You can complete it in 10-15 minutes. -Admission is unlimited w/ your wristband (clerk said it could actually be over more than one day...they don't care as long as you have the band). -The a/c is pretty good. :) Cons: -Kind of basic. -Maybe $15/head is too much unless you really plan on returning a few times over the course of a week. We did this yesterday while visiting Broadway at the Beach. It was a lot of fun. We have done a number of mirror mazes at different places, and this one was by far the best. It took us nearly thirty minutes to complete it, which is much better than the last one we did in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee that took maybe five minutes. It was very confusing, and the lights only added to the dramatic panicky feeling we got trying to find our way through it. Be sure to hold your hands out in front of you, or else you will run nose first into a mirror (like I did once a few years ago). The staff was very friendly and helpful. It didn't cost that much, because we added the Mirror Maze to the Escape Game in the same building. Plus, once you get the wrist band for the Mirror Maze, you can go back through as many times as you want for free (even if you leave and come back, as long as it's the same day). If you are visiting Broadway at the Beach, I highly recommend stopping in at Backstage Mirror Maze for a half hour or so break from shopping and browsing. read more

It is fun but it's expensive for such a short amount of time. They provide gloves so you don't smudge (appreciated) and glasses to make it harder (which pretty much make you blind so I ended up not using mine). You can take a peek for free and you can just see mirror upon mirror. Going in is pretty crazy but once you get your bearings it's pretty easy to figure out how to get out. I'd say you could be in there a maximum of 15 minutes. They give you bands that you can use multiple times in your trip but I can't imagine why I'd want to do this again and again. It was fun for something to do but I can think of better ways to spend $15 a person. Its RIPleys...Can be fun but often a RIP-off. read more

Good, cheap fun. The price is a bit much for what you get, but you do have a 24 hour pass. So it's interesting just to come back later in the day just to try again. There isn't much here, it's just what it says a maze of mirrors. Once you actually figure it out the space itself is pretty small. They provide you with gloves so you don't smudge the mirrors. There's also lights flickering on and off inside, and the first time we went through we swore something would pop out at us. Spoiler -- nothing pops out at you. read more

We love this place. They keep it extremely sanitary by making everyone wear gloves. This way there are no fingerprints on the mirrors and with the 3D glasses so much fun. A wrist band is good all day. read more

We did this as a fallback when another activity fell through, and then after their patient staff helpfully walked us through the escape room options, we learned that none of them worked for our schedule. So we tried this out of some desperation and were quite glad we did. The maze is genuinely disorienting and as soon as we walked in, our first feeling was, "What have we gotten ourselves into?" It is almost impossible to tell open space from a mirror until your hand bumps up against it. The turns aren't 90 degrees but rather 60 degrees so in no time at all you have no idea which way you are facing relative to the direction you came in. By some combination of trial and error and dumb luck we managed to make it to the far end of the maze. It was only then, finding our way back, that I had a logical epiphany that made our return trip much more systematic and methodical. Why this realization didn't come to me on the way out, I don't know, but we probably would have made it through the maze more efficiently if I had. I really enjoyed it, as it was not only a fun experience of physical exploration but also a mental challenge. It's great to get that kind of experience on vacation. read more

From an adult perspective, this is fun for the family, at least for the first 5 minutes. The instant you step inside, you are astonished by how infinitely long the hall of mirrors extends. Rest assured, it all just smoke and mirrors sans smoke. Can you imagine the utter pandemonium this place would be if there really was smoke to trigger the fire alarms! Then....the novelty wears off during the next 5 minutes as you try to think of other ways to make it more interesting. Oh yeah, those Kaleidoscope glasses!!! Let's put those on and perhaps it'll be like we are in a different maze! Not likely, but it's worth a try since you already paid your way in. Let's time ourselves to see who can go through the fastest.You get the idea. You are free to get lost in the maze of mirrors for as long as you want, but I'm not sure you'd really want to. What would make this really awesome is if this thing were 2 or 3 times bigger. Now that would really be a challenge! Be sure to check in using the Yelp app, to score a freebie. Though the maze itself isn't that big but it took a good amount of time for us to get through each time even with the size of the maze! The approx. $13 dollar fee per person provides unlimited amount of re-entry so you can go as many time as you like, doing different challenges such as compete by time or by group. They also provides you with gloves so you don't smudge the mirrors and glasses to make it even harder to get through the maze. The lights inside the maze changes so it disorients you and makes it even harder to get a sense of directions, which is awesome! We had to stick our hands out the entire time to make sure that we won't run into the mirrors. There were those little kids who made it seem so easy while we were trying to run around and keep running into dead ends. We went through the maze a good 2 times. It was fun. IIf you check in through yelp, you will get a free laser maze game which is a definite try! You will get a feel of how it feels like to be a spy and try not to touch the laser lines, which i failed miserably wearing a flowy shirt... Sister and her family (husband, twenty-something year-old stepson, and ten-year old son) had a good time at this funhouse! $12 per person and a free re-admission the next day (we arrived around 45 minutes to closing time), which they didn't take advantage of. All kept bumping into the mirrors trying to find their way out. :) Nephew had a great time trying to maneuver through the laser maze the one time. Those who don't participate can watch via a monitor. Awesome time for adults and kids. The mirror maze is a must do for any trip to Myrtle. The glasses make the maze a lot harder a lot more fun. My husband bought the package with two tries in the laser maze but we split the package between us and each had one try against the lazers. Great fun. So. Much. Fun! We did the mirror maze several times today - once all together, once using a stopwatch to see who got the best times individually, and then boys vs girls and again kids vs parents. We couldn't stop laughing the while time! We also did the laser maze bank robbery challenge and this "old" mom schooled all three of her kids--whoop! It's not cheap, but you can go through the maze unlimited times so we felt like we got our money's worth. read more

Fun attraction, spent $74 for a family of five. Use Kalidescope glasses for extra challenge. Was amusing for adults. You can play as much as you want all day with wristband. Cashier was friendly, had advice on where to eat and copies of all local menus. Time wise, a one way trip will take an adult about 5 minutes, and going in reverse is a bit harder than forward. With the glasses on every direction looks the same and you have to just feel your way around. They give you gloves to make sure you don't smear up their mirrors. Beware of bringing little kids though. My 3 year old wasn't wearing the glasses. We got out of a corner where she could see herself in all directions and got to a spot that looked like a long hallway. She got loose from my hand and took off running because it looked like a hallway. Tried to grab her again but she ran right into a mirror. This place was AWESOME! The mirror maze was average, but the bonus -- the laser maze -- made this place go from a 3 to a 4, and the incredibly fun and likeable staff made me bump it up to a 5! The laser maze, set up like a scene from Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapment or Mission:Impossible or some bank/museum theft movie, was challenging and fun. I can't wait to go back... My 14 yr old daughter and I had fun. The laser vault was our favorite part so it's definitely worth the combo ticket upgrade. We liked the maze, it was fun, especially with the glasses. Be warned if you have little ones, the lights go out regularly and there is definitely an element of stranger danger. The mirrors make it confusing and sometimes you end up touching someone by mistake. If you're with your kids there is no danger and it is surprisingly fun for grown ups. Okay this place was so much fun. I'm a big fan of mazes and what not so I thought that I would enjoy it. I had no idea how much fun. They not only had a mirror maze, which was awesome, but also a laser beam thingy. Like when you try to rob a bank and there are laser beams and if you hit them the alarm goes off...yea, one of those. This maze was awesome! The only other mirror maze I've been to was in MN at the Mall of America, and that was nothing compared to backstage. At Backstage, the lights go in and out, u get to wear glasses, that help to make it more difficult, and if you're lucky enough when the lights come back on, a figure might pop up behind one of the mirrors with a message for you... The Mirror Maze at Broadway is an outstanding time. Nicole and her staff are a ton of fun to interact with and really do a great job. The maze itself is awesome and it seems over half of the guests come back in the way they went in, thinking they solved it... Where the real fun is at? They have a Mission Impossible style laser vault style attraction that is both timed and on display for the whole lobby on flatscreen tvs, so leave your ego at the door b/c is hard!
