Located right in the heart of the touristy Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, the SkyWheel is one of those things you just kinda need to scratch off your tourist checklist when visiting this part of Myrtle Beach. Is it going to change your life? No. Is it the coolest thing you can do in Myrtle Beach? Also, no. BUT does it have some of the strongest AC and best views of the coastline and boardwalk? 100% yes. Tickets are bit pricey for a ride but we had free ride coupons courtesy of the resort we were staying at which is why after years of coming to MB my whole life I finally tried this attraction. If you don't have one of these make sure to check the coupon books for a coupon for a few dollars off. After waiting in a short line, we were escorted to our entirely clear paned gondola where the AC was on full blast...important in the summer heat on the grand strand. We went around for several minutes enjoying the views of the Atlantic and surrounding area. I likely won't do this again but the views are great and I can now say it's marked off the MB bucket list!

Lit up at night, price varies higher for sunrise and sunset. Lower in the mid day. Not very active on weekdays but a busy evening on weekends. Hint: There are discount coupons in the local booklets that are in hotels.

I love love love this.. granted it was my first time on it and it wasn't summer busy but staff was nice and fun.. I felt like I got plenty of time on ride even tho I did tell her to keep going lol.. it's individually climate controlled so not stuffy at all.. pretty comfy for what it is.. it's not terrible price and I went by myself because I can not get anyone to go with..it did freak me out a little at top when it stopped.. the car swayed just a little bit not bad but I really did have great time! You can eat down at restaurant attached too.. that's something I'm saving til next time! I highly recommend!!

Worth it. No notes, grateful for the experience with our kids and for the seemingly extra rotation we got!

It is Home To The Tallest Observation Wheel on the East Coast The Myrtle Beach SkyWheel takes guests high in its 42 six-person gondolas. The ride offers an expansive view and plenty of photo ops, and the gondolas are climate-controlled for comfort. If you're looking for things to do in Myrtle Beach for an upcoming vacation, the SkyWheel has likely appeared on every best-of list you've found. This colorful landmark on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk towers over the shoreline, entertaining visitors and locals with endless views from comfy, private gondolas. Fact: the SkyWheel is officially considered an observation wheel" because each private capsule is fully enclosed and temperature-controlled for year-round enjoyment." Skywheel Myrtle Beach is located at the heart of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, between North Ocean Blvd and 11th Avenue North, making it easily accessible to tourists

My son has been dying to try the Skywheel. We were staying nearby and decided to check it out. It is expensive and cost us $60 for two adults and one child in December. We had our own car which was clean and quiet. The views were beautiful, and we love seeing the ocean from the top of the wheel. The employees were funny and messing with my husband who was nervous about the wheel. I think it was fun to try, but we may wait a while to do it again because of the price.

Great views of Myrtle Beach! I enjoyed the experience. Kid friendly I was able to take my 6 month old on and he enjoyed the views too. The prices are on the higher end. They take your photo at the beginning and try to sell em to you at the end. I would love to go again next time in town.

How did they know we were coming ?

I've been on my Ferris wheel rides before, but none of them really compared to this one. While there's not too much to say about a Ferris wheel, it's pretty straight forward, it's a big wheel and you go around and around and gasp on the glorious city views that surround you,,, this one had some key differences and takeaways. 1: the wheel felt secure. It wasn't shaking and rocking as much as your typical wheel would, which made it far less scary. 2: it was covered completely and air conditioned inside! Yes that's right, you can enjoy this wheel when it's raining and when it's blazing hot as well! 3: it was very clean. You didn't sit on buble gum and candy wrappers. For those reasons I have to highlight my experience at the SkyWheel at Myrtle beach! I would absolutely go back again

Such an icon on the waterfront of Myrtle Beach. I've never ridden a Ferris wheel on the beach and this is one that gives great views. For a short 15 minute ride it is so relaxing because you get a front seat and unique view of the Atlantic Ocean. The staff is very nice and it's fun every time I went around they gave me a wave! Must see recommendation when visiting this lovely resort town.

Visited the Skywheel on Father's Day, after dinner. Unfortunately, because I use a power wheelchair, we couldn't all fit into the same gondola. However, I was pleased that it was accessible at all. Our nephew rode with my boyfriend and I, and he's quite the hambone. There is a video, but I won't post it because it's mostly the three of us freaking out and the language used is not family appropriate. We had the best time. It was terrifying and exciting, a gorgeous view and the threat of death all at once. I mean, clearly there wasn't any threat of death, but every time the gondola swayed we certainly acted like it. Hilarious and exhilarating. Would recommend.

It's over $20 per person - and really quick. Views are good - but not worth the price.

There are lots of activities for the young and young at heart throughout this outside mall area. It's kinda a touristy spot as you have many attractions $ including: Bungee, Speed Boat Experience, zip line, small rides, a Ferris wheel, a theater. Not to mention it's all on the ocean. There are a variety of shops selling the usual fare, but it's a nice walkable area with much to offer throughout your walk experience. I picked up a few things for gifts to bring home and really enjoyed my time with family here. FYI- The highly anticipated Ole Smoky Distillery and Yee-Haw Brewing Co. is opening tomorrow and would have really of liked to experience that as Paula Deans was super disappointing. *On a good note- Guy Fieri's Flavor Town will be a gigantic space within Myrtle Beach and opens in June.*

Wonder Works is great for a first date or even a fun family outing. 1st Floor includes the lobby, gift shop, Wonder Cafe, Hurricane Shack, Xtreme 360 Bikes, Physical Challenge Zone, and party room. 2nd Floor includes Laser Tag. If you have a little child, you may be able to take turns and go in different heats. 3rd Floor includes the wall of illusions, XD Theater, draw alive, Wonder Coaster, Bed of Nails, Bubble Lab, and STEM Room. 4th Floor includes space discovery, ropes course, arcade games that you purchase to play, art of Dr Seuss, Imagination Lab, and Interactive Sandbox. My favorite was the digital Wonder Coaster. It is an indoor ride that follows along a video of a roller coaster flipping you and spinning you like the real thing. I recommend wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing so you are able to ride majority of the attractions inside. You can also add on the Wonder Works casebook and slice different riddles as you explore the four levels.

It's a fun spot for kids, but as an adult, I wouldn't feel the need to go back. It can get pretty crowded, so I'd recommend going early on a weekday instead of the weekend if you can. A few of the exhibits weren't working during my visit, which was a little disappointing. While it's entertaining, I do think the price is a bit high--around $35 per person would feel more reasonable than $40. Overall, it's a decent way to spend some time, especially for families, but not something I'd go out of my way to do again.

We came on a day when we thought the weather at the beach was going to be less than ideal - lucky for us, the Zipline tours operate rain or shine. We ended up having great weather for it too! It was super easy to book. Once we got there, they got us kitted out, then we went through a quick (yet thorough) instruction on how to safely zipline. It was a group of 5 of us plus our guides. The tour took about 2 - 2.5 hours, and you get to go on 10 different ziplines. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Especially if the weather is going to be less than ideal and you need some way to kill time. Our tour guides, Chase, Miles, and Zach, were great! Thanks y'all!
