I have been to other Ripley illusion labs. Unfortunately this one did not meet my expectations. Not sure if I just did not understand how the stuff worked. Or perhaps the equipment was not impossible properly.

Cheapest if you can find parking at a meter. We got the Aquarium + 1 attraction and chose the illusion lab. Couldn't find anything about it when searching. It's quite small and took us less than an hour to go through the whole thing. Wish it was bigger, but it was a decent size. Probably wouldn't go again, but was worth checking out.

Extremely overpriced for how small it is! We enjoyed it for the 10-15min we were there but disappointed in the cost vs what they offered.

Oceanfront Playground!…read more This is probably my favorite place in Mrtyle Beach. There are lots of activities for the young and old. Bungee, speed boats, zip line, rollercoaster, small rides, tons of bars/eateries and a Ferris wheel plus it's all on the ocean! There are a variety of shops selling the usual fare of souvenirs, tshirts and shot glasses....but it's a nice walkable area and and couldn't help but notice how clean the boardwalk area and strip was. There was even a Starbucks. lol In all, I truly enjoyed my time here and definitely recommend as a stop when visiting Myrtle Beach.

There are lots of activities for the young and young at heart throughout this outside mall area. It's kinda a touristy spot as you have many attractions $ including: Bungee, Speed Boat Experience, zip line, small rides, a Ferris wheel, a theater. Not to mention it's all on the ocean. There are a variety of shops selling the usual fare, but it's a nice walkable area with much to offer throughout your walk experience. I picked up a few things for gifts to bring home and really enjoyed my time with family here. FYI- The highly anticipated Ole Smoky Distillery and Yee-Haw Brewing Co. is opening tomorrow and would have really of liked to experience that as Paula Deans was super disappointing. *On a good note- Guy Fieri's Flavor Town will be a gigantic space within Myrtle Beach and opens in June.*

While my husband stayed firmly planted on solid ground (he and heights have a mutual agreement to…read morenever speak), I took our three kids up for a spin on the SkyWheel--and by "spin," I mean a slow, scenic, 187-foot climb into the sky that somehow didn't trigger my fear of parenting three kids in a confined space. The kids were obsessed with the fact that it's the height of 15 great white sharks stacked end to end. (Shoutout to the trivia signs in the line for that little gem--both educational and slightly terrifying!) They were also thrilled we got to go around five full times, which gave them plenty of time to argue over who could see farther and point out imaginary sharks in the ocean below. Meanwhile, I got to enjoy the views--the beach, the boardwalk, and most importantly, three kids sitting still, contained, and not actively picking on each other. A miracle. I even got a good photo where everyone's smiling and no one's mid-slap or eye roll. Worth every penny for that alone. It's not the cheapest attraction in town, but between the ocean views, the smooth ride, and the rare moment of peace, I'd say it earns its price tag. TL;DR: Stunning views, smooth ride, and just enough shark trivia to keep the kids distracted from sibling rivalry. A must-do if you're okay with heights--or parenting solo while your spouse isn't.
