We were pleasantly surprised at how fun this place was. Over a thousand alligators plus a bunch of other cool animals.

When you walk in there is some non filtered water (on the outside) then after you walk in i registered, 240$. 2 kids and 4 adults. But i had fun, there was ice cream, some fans around the place, benches and stuff. I had fun looking at alligators and stuff but im rating 4 stars because it was expensive and also it wasnt entirely on alligators! There were snakes too! This place says to plan at least 2 hours for the tour, but you can easily walk through in 1-2 hours and that includes going to one of the shows. Online it says its 15 acres, but it looks more like 2-3 acres, so who knows whats what with that. They had a bunch of different kinds of snakes which was pretty neat. I wish we could hold the baby alligators. Right when you walk in you see the area with alligators under 5 years of age. Then in one of the building they have the baby baby ones about a foot long. I said man I want to put one on my shoulder, I want one. But we don't get to touch anything. I went to the show and the lady showed us the blue tongue skink and also the Dumeril Boa. It is a lil pricey. With military discount is $37.74. But its pretty cool to see all of the gators. They stay sooo still you wonder if they were real, then they would slightly move. read more

This is a medium size zoo like park primarily focused on Alligators. They have probably over thousands of alligators scattered around the whole park, including Albino (ghost) alligators. There are live feeding demo and also demos of reptiles by the associates. Other than alligators they have small and medium size animals like turtles, ostriches, hyenas and few more. There are individual houses for small reptiles, frogs and lizards. At the back they also have Alligators cove where you get to see Alligators living in the water lands. In the middle of the park there's lots of sitting area with shade. Huge fans blow all day to ease the visitors from heat and humidity. There's a small cafe that service some food, snacks, ice cream and drinks. The gift shop has lots of cool items focused on alligators, reptiles, animals and the park. Easily takes 2-3 hours to filly explore the park. We found all associates to be very friendly and constantly reminding guests how to explore the park safely. read more

I think this place is super cute and also kind of pricey. I mean it's like a zoo for just alligators they do have other animals but the focus is alligators. I love seeing the show but it's not really set up so everyone can see it so you have to really get there first hand so you can get front row because nobody sits down and you have to try to see over them which is hard for little kids. I love seeing all the different alligators and all the habitats but it was just okay. There is no real shade in this place so if it's a hot day, you will feel it. read more

This place was so cool! We went in not knowing what to expect but just wanted to show our son some alligators and boy did he love it! You walk in to a pit with TONS of alligators just hanging out. We've been here a few times. The feeding shows are pretty cool. We usually try and get to where they do the shows about 15 minutes or so early so we can find a spot to stand. They are a bit pricey, especially for bigger families, but I'm sure the gators are pricey to feed! read more

I love animals so I had to check this place out. Overall, it was a really nice place. The enclosures are a good size and they have a lot of different species (especially of alligators and crocodiles). They did have a reptile show while I was there but I did not take part. They have more than just alligators and crocodiles. They also have hyenas, mountain lions, and more. It is mostly outside so definitely dress for outside weather. The price was $34 per person which was a little steep for a smaller place; I've been to cheaper large zoos. In my opinion, Gatorland in Orlando is far superior and also $34 per person. However if you can't get to Gatorland, this place is definitely nice and I would recommend it. read more

This was better than expected!! I've seen this place every time I go to MB. Didn't realize it was so big!!There were so many different types of animals not just the alligator!! Plenty displays for all ages to enjoy!! There were different shows they did with the alligators! Nice!! My grandson enjoyed it running from place to place!! Really great and different experience while in Myrtle beach.. they had a variety of animals outside of gators. They have various shows and events, which definitely made it worthwhile. I especially loved seeing the hyenas and owls. Parking was easy and accessible, right off of the main strip. Tickets were kind of pricey, but isn't everything when you're on vacation? Really fun place!!! Looked so small from outside, but once you get in, it's good sized! Most notably, it was CLEAN! Each animal's enclosure was so tidy and there was little to no smell, which was amazing to me! The animals (birds, hyena (!) even rams.... turtles, snakes, lizards and ALLIGATORS were very well kept! there were tiny alligators up to a REALLY big one! The feeding exhibit was fun because the girl doing it shared some facts about the animals and some silly jokes. We didn't eat or buy anything from the gift shop, but we had a wonderful time and I'd highly recommend it to all! read more

Came here for a day- trip from NC late December. It was worth it! I was really worried with how active the animals would be in the colder winter month. I'm glad that they were all out sun bathing. Our 3-year old had a blast. She touched the alligator, snake and tegu. We had very nice pictures holding the alligator. The staff were very professional. The facility is impressively clean. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. It was very hot! 87 degrees and not a lot of shade or water bottle filling stations. There were no signs on the alligator displays (the metal) that said could get hot...my 6 year old touched the alligator and burned his hand. While it may seem obvious to adults, metal gets hot, a 6 year old it is not. read more

Went on a rainy day and it was a great choice. Low crowds so you could get anywhere without a wait with a clear view. Hourly demonstrations for feedings or reptile show. We even got to pet a young alligator! Overall a decent place to see a ton of reptiles and even more alligators. The place is kept up okay. Super clean bathrooms, animals looked fed, decent snack food prices. Just don't be like us and forget clothes forget clothes for rain bc the kids sweatshirts were $38 dollars. My kids has a blast for about 2.5-3 hours. A little pricey but what isn't on vacation. Would maybe come again next trip if the kids were into alligators or reptiles. read more

This place was amazing! I've never seen so many alligators and crocodiles. The feeding was so cool to watch. Also watched the trainers catching the alligator babies in the pool with their bare hands! Came on a Friday in August around 2:15pm. It was extremely hot. It was about $70 for two people for admission, which is a bit much but whatever. We spent about 45 minutes here. They have a few big fans set up to help with the temp, but it wasn't that helpful. The juvenile gator exhibit was packed with so many of them but it looked like they had enough sufficient room. All the animals I saw appeared to be relatively happy in their exhibits. One animal that I thought did NOT have enough space was the poor turtle in the reptile building, in about a 4ft water tank. There was barely any room for that guy to swim around. You could tell the animals are taken care of and have all of their needs met, which is so important to me, as an animal lover. The park is a decent size and they put all of their space to use. It was a very well detailed and set up park. They have a few buildings where animals are kept, but the majority of them are outside. I saw a few Alligator feedings, but of course since they are wild animals, they may not interact. Overall, I had a really fun time at this park and would absolutely recommend it. read more

I haven't been here in years (probably at least 15) and couldn't remember much. I will say my expectations were quite low but we're drastically surpassed. They have a schedule at the beginning of the park with the events happening. I recommend checking those out: we saw the reptile show and the alligator feeding. The reptile show was very informative but also entertaining as well. We were there for 3 hours walking around and looking at the exhibits. A great afternoon activity and not too pricey, at 32.99 a person, for such a touristy area. There also is more than just alligators and crocodiles. read more

Way better than I expected. All of my kids were entertained and we saw all kinds of alligators, lizards, snakes, hyenas, turtles, etc. The price looked high at first, but at the end I felt it was fair. You get to see a lot and it covers a second day return. It was so good that the kids barely complained, even with the heat, until the end. It's a lot of outdoor walking along with several air conditioned buildings. Theh have a bunch of cooling fans blowing everywhere. This place has somehow managed to fly below the radar, with not much advertising or fanfare. This place is totally awesome. They are reasonably priced and the entire staff is uber friendly from the maintenance, to sales, to handlers, to concessions. All very nice and helpful. This place has Alligators, snakes, turtles, bobcats, lemurs, sloths, monkeys, hyenas, crocodiles, ostriches, and parrots. The park is huge with animals all over the place. It also has ample parking. Additionally, they have shows like alligator feedings, and reptile show where you can touch a baby alligator and/or snake. I thoroughly enjoyed both shows. The park has a great deal going on, where you can get a second day free. That is an awesome deal if your schedule permits. I felt that one day was not enough in the park anyway to really cover everything. When you walk in to the park, you go past a big alligator fossil and then to a pool that is filled with young alligators, tons of young alligators. They also have an albino alligator and the largest alligator in the US, and it is huge. They have a couple of concessions stands there that sell soft pretzels, water, snoballs, and popcorn and they are reasonably priced. I would recommend bringing yourself a bottle of water or two with you because it can get a little hot there. You can also have a picture taken with a little baby alligator on a green screen for a fee. They will then email you the souvenir photo. I highly recommend paying this place a visit. It is an excellent alternative to the beach. But even though they have fans throughout the park, It still can get rather hot out there so please dress/plan accordingly. read more

I think they should include more species of animals, there were a lot of snakes/lizards. And of course tons of alligators. This place is the bomb. I know it is probably geared more for kids probably, but as an adult I have gone several times with people visiting town and have loved every second of it. Their collection of alligator, lizards, tortoises, and other animals is impressive. They have a convenient schedule of interesting feedings and show and tell sessions with the animals. The one place we went on our vacation that wasn't a complete disappointment. The tortoises were super friendly! Our toddler loved that they came over to the fence as soon as they saw someone else stop next to it (she wanted to bring one home with us ) Everything was very well fenced in so it makes a great place for littles to get out some energy walking around looking at things. We have no plans to visit Myrtle beach in the near future but if/when we do we will definately be coming back! read more

As you walk around there are fans too cool you off, which was really nice! They had ostrich, flamingos (even though the space they were in seemed a bit small for them) , parrots, one little baby monkey, snakes, lizards, lemurs, etc. The snakes, lizards, monkeys, etc. We're all inside like a traditional zoo. Only reason I gave 4 star was bc I felt $28 per adult was a bit pricey considering it's only about 1 hour long to tour the whole place. & ppl weren't all that worried about being 6 feet apart, but hey! Whenever we travel anywhere in the world we always make time to support the wildlife so my daughter and I have gone to many zoos, reserves or other places that house animals, reptiles and other types of wildlife. Myrtle beach was not going to be any different for us so once we saw the Alligator Adventure facility we knew we were going to go. We had gone to the winery first and while there another patron confirmed that the Alligator Adventure was the thing to do. Alligator Adventure has a large parking lot and it is very easy to find off the main road in Myrtle Beach. It costs about $27 per adult but there are perks with this entry fee. Perk #1 is that you can have the receipt validated and come back a second day for FREE. Perk #2 is if you go out by ticket booth location #36 they will give you a color coded wristband which you will use to get a FREE wine tasting next door. While at the facility, we saw many, many alligators so there is no way you could go and miss seeing them. They other animals as well such as Lemurs, Tortoises, Macaw, Bobcats and many more. They have shows where you can see and touch the animals up close but we did not stay for the show. They have several easy access exhibits and a well designed space. We never once felt crowded or rushed. All of the indoor areas were lit with good lighting, the glass enclosures were clean and the animals appeared to be well taken care of. It was not too overwhelming and I felt like it was a good way to spend an hour or two for any age but especially go if you have children under 14 years of age. Staff is around but not overbearing and you can do a self-guided leisurely stroll throughout the facility. read more
