Oh, I am one week into my practice with Ja Yoga and I love it. I can already see a difference in my body [abs coming back!] and my moods are even. I felt very welcome when I walked into this studio as beginner to yoga. There are several different classes tailored to different skill levels. Take advantage of the new student special! It's a great price and well worth trying this place out for a month. I love this place ad highly recommend it. I just learned today that yoga can both leave me panting and bring me mind-body healing. I reached a new level of flexibility and balance today. The practice has done wonders for rehabilitating my psoas and quadratus lumborum, which often get aggravated from kickboxing (which I'm never giving up). The space is charming, open, and clean. I know I'm at risk of sounding super corny, but yoga has truly changed my life. Ja yoga transports you to a peaceful place. Mic, the owner is great at guiding you through each step and allowing you to work in poses as you feel comfortable. The yoga studio itself is large so there is plenty of room to spread out. I have been coming here for almost a year now and look forward to it each week. Only wish I could come to more classes. If you've never done yoga or if you have before-try Ja yoga. I found Ja Yoga during a very trying time in my life. I started with the $40 one month unlimited new client special and soon became a regular. Ja Yoga caters to all levels of yoga experience with no intimidation to those who are just starting out. Since Mic focuses on different parts of the body each day of the week, I go often to get a full body, mind experience. Exercise has never been something that I have enjoyed, but yoga is the most painless form of exercise that I have ever done. I try to go 5 days a week and the changes it has made in my endurance, strength and flexibility are an added plus to the calmness that I feel deep in my soul. Wonderful studio!! No pressure to perform here. You are encouraged to work honestly and at your own pace - to listen to your body. Beautiful space and Mic is amazing. Yoga is such a personal experience. I have experienced yoga in some different locations, from Portland, SF, to Venice-CA, to Long Beach. Mic has infused his amazing passion into this very simple space. His passion runs through all the teachers he has brought in as well as the music that fills each class. Each teacher brings an amazing power and new experience to there own class each time yet still living within Mic's over all vision of his space . If you get a chance please get the experience of hearing Brin sing during the warm down.......truly an amazing voice and gift to this space. Hi! This is my first time ever taking yoga. I am clueless to all the poses, breathing patterns, and the results. I have read nothing but positive things about it so I gave it a chance. I popped in on a Mon at 4:30, and Stephanie was the teacher. I was a bit unsure when walking in : ) Stephanie was calm, patient, personable, and reassuring. Nice environment & I definitely felt a difference in how I felt when walking out. read more
