I think it's time that I update my review considering I have been attending classes at Yoga108 regularly for 8 years now. I'm a big fan of this studio. It's on the smaller side with 2 rooms, a heated and a non-heated. They offer vinyasa classes for 60 or 75 minutes, yoga sculpt, yin yoga, and strength & conditioning. Depending on which instructor's class you take, it may be more or less difficult. And trust me, they get difficult! I truly find the staff to be so pleasant, and they always remember me, welcoming me warmly, even when I haven't been for a month or 2. They also offer teacher trainings, community kirtan nights and international yoga retreats. I truly can't say enough about how much I enjoy coming here. The studio is a clean, serene space that immediately makes me feel calm, even when I'm sweating like crazy from the powerful yoga moves. There really is something to be said for practicing yoga in a studio environment, and Yoga108 is a wonderful one. read more

My daughter Loves Yoga108. Took a break & trying to return possibly but they've always been difficult to contact regarding questions. They don't answer their phones or texts. Customers have difficulty finding out how to contact them. There's a MindBody app & a Momence app but since we haven't been there in awhile we have no idea of how to contact them or thru what app they're using now. Walk-in doesn't help much because maybe the teacher only is that day and not the administration. Teachers don't handle the business part. You can genuinely feel the positive intention he brings into every session, and the way he guides the class feels both supportive and inspiring. I discovered this studio through Groupon (i like to use this before committing). There are two rooms - one small and a larger heated room. You can sign up for classes on the MINDBODY app, but you can do a walk in. I really like the yoga sculpt class, which incorporates weights. You get very sweaty and it is modified so that you don't injure yourself. I also like the Vinyasa classes. I feel zen at the end. I wish they had a cap on the number of people per class. I personally don't like being a few inches away from others. Also, they don't offer corrections like they do in other studios. A big turn off... I'm ultra sensitive to smells. There was one time where the class reeked of body odor. I had to breathe through my mouth the entire time. Do people not practice good hygiene? Yikes. Make sure you aim to get to class at least five minutes early because they will close the doors. I missed class once because of a train lol. There is a parking lot a block away. First two hours are free. read more

I have a strained left hamstring so Laurel's 6AM class was really nice too do after waking up. It was gentle, calming and relaxing,l. I was able to loosen up my strained hamstring. Also, she does breathwork with single nostrils and that was extra great! Would definitely come back to her classes on Wednesday and Fridays. read more

I was able to book a hot yoga class through my ClassPass membership. I took a "Vinyasa All Levels Heated" class with Hannah and it was great! It was a full class so we were pretty packed in there. I liked that the lighting was dark and that Hannah would walk around the class and provide support if needed. read more

So far I've taken 4 classes here and I have loved each one! I bounce around to different studios- I'm a yogi drifter if you will- so I have many points of comparison. Certain other studios choreograph their classes so it's like a dance, and I love that format, too, but sometimes it doesn't allow for much growth. At yoga108 most classes are 75 minutes and there are more opportunities for teaching and corrections and explaining how a pose should look and feel. Personally I like a good choreographed dancey yoga session, but I love to balance it with solid instruction that this studio delivers. It's also a beautiful space and there's a parking garage with 2 hours free just a block away. read more

I've just taken my 3rd class here and I've really enjoyed myself. I just moved to the area in search of a additional yoga home other than RA yoga and I think I've found it! It's located right downtown and they have a really cute back patio that features lights at night and heaters. They have amazing weight options for their strength classes. Honestly since everything is closed it's great to have a high impact and low impact workout in one location! I've taken 2 of Theresa's classes and they are tough! And then I took a level 2/3 class with Kelly and her flow was really cool and she was so genuine. I appreciate that both instructors welcomed me and made me feel at home. I took Kelly Burke's 10:30am. I think she's a last-minute sub and she was a very pleasant surprise. I loved her style of teaching. She was strong, calm, a great flow. It was a great workout and at the same time, felt relaxed when I left. I hope she becomes a regular teacher there because she was excellent. I noticed some mistakes in the timeline so I've made some edits. I really loved this place pre-pandemic. I used to go there everyday. I was very disappointed by the management of my unlimited membership I got in November of 2019 (right before the pandemic). I had to request that to be extended. There was no voluntary communication from the owner or the co-owner in regards to this. All of the requests were from my end. There was no clear communication to its members, at all. The communication was very clunky and when I asked for a second extension, I had to have a phone call with Madhuri after several emails. Why did I feel like I needed to present my case for an extension - for something I've paid for? I was one of those people who didn't feel like I could enjoy the indoor yoga for a while during the pandemic - knowing that even with masks, the transmission could happen. Even up until the shutdown in March of 2020, people kept packing in the studio like it was normal and there was not much precaution. I recognize that nobody was sure of what the right thing to do is - but with less known, we should have been more careful. I barely used my membership and it ended in May of 2021. I didn't feel comfortable going in at all even by the summer of 2021 (I had gotten all the dates mixed up since it's been a while). Some may say that is too careful and that people were going to the gym at this point. However, I still felt uncomfortable. So it was really a letdown that I bought a membership - just to support a business and pretty much donate the money to the studio. I used the video/zoom yoga a little bit but the camera was pointing at random students and I couldn't even see the teacher more than half the time. It was such a waste of my 1099 dollars or whatever I paid. Granted I got a deal for thanksgiving - I got to use maybe 5 months of the membership. I wish the studio did more to bring me back. I felt ripped off. Were they grateful to have my money to keep the business alive? If so, I was shown no gratitude. If they had kindly asked the members, where they were at financially and communicated that they needed help by just keeping the money despite some of the members not using the facility at all - I think I would have been more understanding. read more

Been wanting to check it out and a friend told me he was going there so when I ran into her and found out she was the owner, I had to sign up! Got the 1 year unlimited membership! So good! I've been going since Monday, the day I signed up! Usually in the evenings or on virtual! Isn't it so cool they can do virtual classes?? Genius! I've tried the Yin Yoga, the Levels 1, 2-3 and the Strength Yoga flow! Omg! They're all so different so you'll never get bored! Also, I've lost 5 lbs already! Diet included but I feel my muscles and tone coming back! Gotta get rid of this post-baby weight. Anyway, you gotta try this out! Masks on until you sit at your mat. They even check your temp. Yoga108 is the best of the best. The instructors have such positive energy and every time I leave the studio I feel like I just had a massage. This studio offers a good workout but also a relaxing experience. I've been going here since September 2023 and I always leave feeling satisfied. The studio is heated for some classes which is a plus because you break a good sweat. However, the heated classes aren't as hot as a sauna so it's easy to breathe and keep up with the movements which I like. Everyone in the studio, instructors and students alike, are so supportive and have created the most welcoming environment. This studio has created a community that goes beyond the studio walls which I enjoy. I definitely recommend yoga108 if you want a good workout or want to meet some awesome people! read more

A few classes into my 10-pack, I knew this studio would be a fit. Run, don't walk; get yourself a membership. After attending 50+ classes, here are my thoughts: +Instructors are so inclusive, genuine, and make such an effort to connect with everyone. They share their unique perspective and style in class, while also being compassionate, encouraging, and empathetic. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or advanced - everyone belongs. +Variety extends beyond class offerings to also include workshops, sound baths, retreats, and teacher training, to name a few. + Community is so warm, welcoming, and safe. I have been looking for a yoga studio to join on days where I am resting from the gym with the intention of staying active on a daily basis. I read so many great reviews about this place and found a Groupon that I purchased to try it out before I commit to an annual membership. A huge plus for me was that the studio is walking distance from my place! Unfortunately, after purchasing the five-classes deal I was having issues booking. Groupon said I needed to reach out to the Merchant directly to book the classes so I went on their website and sent a text message to the phone number listed. In addition, I also had attempted to call the studio's phone number multiple times at different times of the day (morning, afternoon, evening, weekday and weekend) to get a hold of someone and there has been no answer at all. I even tried to send a message to their Instagram account because I saw that they would re-post stories on a daily basis, hoping to get a hold of someone who could help me. Alas, still no success. I eventually requested a refund from Groupon because it seems like this place is harder to get a hold of than the White House. I do still feel this is a great studio to take classes with - just disappointed I can't even speak to anyone to give it a try. I hope that eventually it becomes easier to get a hold of the studio so that I can reconsider purchasing classes. Until then I will find a different studio to become a member with. read more

One of my favorite yoga studios in Long Beach. They offer mostly hot classes all throughout the day. My favorite is the Lunch Flow class. It's unheated and only 50 minutes! Perfect to squeeze in for a light stretch. The instructors are really nice and help with your form. Definitely recommend if you live in the downtown area. Rare to find a studio that offers mind, body and soul practices with a flow that feels like you're dancing through life. The gorgeous building and ambiance are a huge bonus! I was recently traveling with my RV club and we stayed a few nights in Long Beach. I wanted to stay active with my yoga practice so I looked into local yoga studios and found Yoga108. I signed up for the very affordable 5-class newbie intro package and even got a couple more dollars off with Groupon. I was able to sign up, pay, and schedule my classes all online from the comfort of my RV. The studio was about 1.5 mile bike ride from the RV park. Once at the studio, they allowed me to stow my bike safely inside their lobby. Yoga 108 offers many different classes--and not just yoga classes. Their schedule is def worth taking a look! I attended three yoga classes and two strength and conditioning classes. I had the pleasure of working with four different instructors, each having their own teaching style. I felt each instructor was great at what they do, giving me great workouts. They were all very helpful, and each was able to offer alternatives to difficult poses or strength activities if needed. All were very personable and approachable. I greatly enjoyed my few days going to Yoga108 and if I lived closer, I would definitely make them my regular or "home" studio. Just took my first class here at Yoga108! What a welcoming experience! I'm new to yoga and still have many insecurities about taking classes with others who are more advanced that me. The comforting feeling at Yoga108 really helped me to combat this. The instructors were very patient with me and their calming vibes helped me to relax and feel clear. The facilities are very nice as well, plenty of space to store your belongings. The class space was up to par as well, with a very clean and open feeling. Like many others, I discovered Yoga108 through Groupon. I just moved to Long Beach and the trial passes are always a good way to scope out a studio before committing. Anyway, I just finished my 10-class pass and I'd have to say, I'm a big fan. The front desk people are always very nice and welcoming, the studio space is beautiful (I've been in both the heated and not-heated rooms and they are both lovely), and I've found some teachers that I'm really happy with. I really like Alex's Level 2/3 Heated class on Wednesdays at 9am. I've also taken classes with Reika, Theresa, and Kirsten, all of which I enjoyed. All of the classes have been on weekday mornings so a crazy full class has never been an issue (for which I'm grateful). Unfortunately, the pricing is too high for me to come back on a regular basis which is too bad. I will come back to try the $10 community classes though and hopefully get my fix that way! read more

I did the two week special for new students. I took class from Kallie, Kirsten, Jennie, and Madhuri. My experience was ok. Not the worst, not the greatest. The teachers were nice enough. I was expecting a little more of a challenge for 2/3 classes- and not necessarily a physical challenge. The yin class I took, the student next to me kept telling me how to do the poses and variations, and that was super distracting (Also, her suggestions were not appropriate). I didn't find much yoga to be taught during classes, strictly asana. Maybe I just caught poor evenings. I enjoyed the heat and the practice space is nice. read more
