Many years ago, we had a contractor out to repair a garage door opener and they broke several panes…read moreof a garage window. The company that made our double-pane insulated aluminum-clad windows, the only one to do so when we built our home in the late 1990s (we spec'ed aluminum because the Texas sun is violent toward vinyl), was acquired by a larger company in 2017 and their service network disappeared with their sales force. We tried unsuccessfully for years to find someone capable of fixing this window; it was difficult to even have people come look at. And then after once again talking to about a dozen companies this year, we finally discovered Awsom Glassworks. Alvin was able to fix the broken panes and restore the window, something we had all but given up on - I have a spare window in storage and was about to just have it installed, which would have been much more expensive. I can't tell you how much of a godsend Alvin and Awsom Glassworks was for us! If I could give him 10 stars... I would give him 11. If you have a problem with your windows, call him first!

Chance was able to see us that very next day, even before we gave him our business he offered to help clean out the broken glass (which we were pretty worried about crashing out at any moment). He took our measurements gave us a fair estimate and a rough outline for time, all in all a great value. This was on the 20th and luckily our glass was able to be made and they just installed today (just 7 days later) and I couldn't be happier with the way it looks. The company has kind solid people working in it and I will definitely be going here for any future glass needs, and recommend them to my friends and family.

Ignored my request for a receipt for the materials, ignores my request for a timeline, and has only answered me every 3-5 desperate texts to only say he's trying to catch up. I've asked for my money back several times and the chargebacks on Venmo have been ignored without a word. My next step is to take him to court, desperate for my money to get back to me. I texted him, since he doesn't answer phone calls, that I would take him to court and nothing. I'm a single mom and sole parent, this has been devastating to me. I was patient and graceful with his excuses but he has completely taken advantage of me on top of taking my money without communication. This guy is awful
