I have really nice 'molding' type baseboard and nothing wrong with it so no reason to pull it out except it would be easier on the installers. They were going to glue down the laminate - NOPE! even I know that you don't glue down laminate, it's a floating floor system. And so I went to Smitty's, who were wonderful! the installers were perfectionists, it looks beautiful, and the job was cheaper than Lowe's wanted. I couldn't be more pleased. I'll never go anywhere else for flooring and have rec'd them to all my friends and on NextDoor.

He was on time and provided a quote based off of our final selection. Two guest bedrooms and the master were to be converted from carpet to laminate wood flooring at our house in Princeton, TX. We picked out our flooring two months in advance, and Abraham said that the distributor must have assumed that it was canceled because the install was not until two months later. I did not hear from them in the weeks leading up to our install so I called a week in advance to see if we were still good to go and they assured that everything was still set for the date we picked. Anyways, my husband had taken the week off of work and they only had enough engineered hardwood flooring to do one room. They went ahead and did the carpet in the bedrooms by Friday of that week. They didnt start on the rest of the house until the following Monday. So we had to takeoff work again, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The workers showed up on time on Monday to rip up the flooring. They didn't show up until noon on Tuesday to install the new flooring so they were still working up until 8 o'clock that night and were still not finished by that evening so they had to come back out Wednesday morning to finish. Needless to say this drug on for almost 2 weeks with our house being turned upside down, not being able to get to our stuff or Cook in our kitchen. I requested that Abraham hire a cleaning service to clean our house because we both had to go back to work and didn't have time to put it back together until the following weekend. He agreed and he did send someone out the next day and they did an impeccable job cleaning the house and getting rid of the dust. I will say had the distributor not canceled our order, we probably would've had a better experience and it would've been done in a timely manner. I think that it's a reputable place and they're honest people. They could work on their communication skills a little better. Would I recommend them again yes because overall the work was good and they did try to make it right after the mistake happened.

Youngblood's Hardwood Flooring just completed repairs to our 35+ yeqr-old flooring. Their skilled…read morecraftsmen, Augustine and David, did the most perfect job imaginable. Repairs required lacing in new flooring for several holes that were cut previously to install foundation support and several areas of buckled flooring. The joinery to lace in the new pieces to the existing floor is so perfect that the joints defy identifying where new meets old. They worked quickly and efficiently for about 2 days, exactly on time as agreed. They removed all the debris and vacuumed all areas when done. The cost was considerable, but for the skill and quality of the work, and professionally meeting high expectations, the value received was worth every penny. David Youngblood was excellent in communicating with us and explaining as needed. If we ever need any such future work Youngblood's will be who we call.
