The front quarter panel on my Kia Sportage was broken pretty badly, but JR Auto Body did a phenomenal job of getting the right parts and then painting much more than the quarter panel so it isn't obviously at all that my car's been repaired. They also painted the hood since the clear coat was almost entire pealed off, and the polished the headlights. Luis is phenomenal to work with! Very responsive and supportive. Luis and his team did a great job repairing the damage to my Camry after it was rear-ended but it's their follow-up service that really impressed me. Several weeks after the repair, I accidentally peeled off the corner of the protective strip on the newly repaired back bumper and damaged the paint job underneath. I showed it to Luis and he had the entire bumper repainted at no expense. He even reattached a front panel that I had knocked loose in the time between paint jobs, again free of charge. It's a real pleasure to find places that stand by their work like Luis does. JR auto body and Luis did a miracle on my Aston Martin. My Aston was in really bad shape as I had let it go. It had a bent hood, damaged paint, and many large dents. It was a wreck. I ordered a used hood on eBay and Luis and the shop made the entire car look brand new with a two tone paint job that was perfect!!! Everyone has been asking me about my car since I got it out of the shop. They basically have me a brand new car. They were so good the car paint and body work is unreal. Like it came from the factory. The body is immaculate, smooth, detailed and no mistakes. They are so professional, knowledgable, and helpful. Our MINI had a very dented driver's door when someone backed into it in a parking lot. I got five estimates. JR was low, two others a little higher, two others about twice the JR price. JR replaced the door with a new one, matched the paint perfectly, perfectly fixed a very small dent on the other side at no extra cost, and finished the job exactly when Luis said they would. Luis is a liar I have known Luis for over 15 years and began taking my car to him when he was located in the Woodland shopping center in San Rafael. I have always had a good working relationship with him. When he relocated to his current location I brought my car in after an Uber driver sideswiped me. I have AAA insurance and when I filed a claim I was told he was not on the approved list. Because I had worked with him before and his location was across the street from the rental car company I chose to get an estimate with him. This was my mistake. Choosing loyalty. Luis told me that working with AAA would not be a problem that he was in fact approved and he works with a woman named Carla at AAA all the time. He said that his work is guaranteed and if I had any problems all I need to do was bring my car back. The work had been completed and after about four months I needed to take my car into the dealership because there was an issue with the front radar system located under the bumper. I was told by the dealership that there had been some overspray from the paint job that Luis had completed and that was interfering with the radar system functioning properly. I phoned Luis and explained the situation and that is when he told me that he was not going to look at the car that it was essentially my problem and that he never mentioned anything about being approved for AAA and that he was washing his hands of the problem. I was absolutely shocked by his response. I called AAA and although Carla's information was not attached to my claim I contacted her as well as my claims agent to try and sort this out. Basically I was told that it is a very rigorous process to be on the approved list through AAA and it's not something that can be sorted out by making a phone call. I was told that Luis lied so that he could collect the over $5000 in business from AAA. Luis will say anything to get your business. Don't make the same mistake I did. read more

Last week, now driving a different car, I called Luis and he actually remembered me and my car. Again, impressed. I had an accident entering I-294 by slamming into the guardrail while driving, that caused extensive damage to the entire driver's side of my car. The damage was from the headlight to the taillight. While waiting for insurance approval for the repairs, JR made it possible for me to enter and exit my car without having to crawl in from the passenger side. Once I got approved for the estimate, it only took 2 weeks for the completed results. Now my 2019 Ford Fusion looks just like new! Very professional staff doing excellent work. I highly recommend this place for collision repair. I recently took my Honda Accord in after getting into a fender bender that was my fault, so I would have had to pay out of pocket. They kept the car for a few hours and did what they could to get it back on the road, without trying to keep it and charge me tons of money for repairs I can't afford right now. I was introduced to Luis at J R Auto Body some years ago by a friend (Elliot Zalta) who owns an auto repair shop and I can't say enough good things about Luis and the impressive quality of the work his shop does. I drive a classic 2002 Lexus SC 430 convertible and Luis did such a beautiful job - at such an amazing price - the last time that when I was in an accident recently (even though I'm now living in Carmel) I took the car back to Luis. Not only did he repair the damage from the accident, he fixed two other places - all for lower than other estimates I received - and my car looks like it just came off the showroom floor! And that's not all!! As if an accident was not enough, I was hospitalized with pneumonia right after I returned from Marin and was not able to pick up my car... Luis drove it down for me and returned the rental car - and would not accept an extra dime in payment!!
