A request this winter for routine furnace check up couldn't be scheduled until four weeks later. At that time also asked for an estimate for furnace replacement for which a tech was available the same day. Tech promised to send us a quote that night - the quote never arrived despite multiple requests. The tech who came out for the routine check up verified our observation that the control panel of the humidifier was not working and promised to send us a quote for replacement. Guess what - quote never arrived. We paid $205 + credit card fees for the visit but never received a statement of work or even a receipt. On the plus side the techs come out at the scheduled time, seem knowledgeable, and behave professionally. Too bad they don't have time to send out promised quotes!

Later, when the problem somehow resolved itself, I called him back to tell him that I did not need him to come out after all. Despite it being late in the day and close to the time when he was supposed to show up, he was still courteous and polite and explained that, if the problems were to occur again, to simply call back to reschedule. We reached out to this company based on the referral of someone who I know and trust. One of the owners came out and did an overview and explained our options and provided estimates for each of them. She explained how the process would work. Their company handles every aspect of the process. They handle obtaining the permits, scheduling all inspections, and and they have all of the necessary trades people on their staff, with the exception of the company that had to drill for the propane lines. First, let me say how amazing the installation team was. Dave - Lead Electrician Dave was fantastic. He had to move some furniture to access the electric panel inside, but he did so would care and made sure to put everything back just as it was originally. He was very knowledgeable and personable, as well. Nick - Electrician Nick was fantastic. I had a bunch of questions when he arrived, and he patiently answered all of them. Pat - Gas Fitter Pat had to come out several times because we had issues with the county inspections and he was the one who resolved them. He was efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Tyler & Mike S. - Helpers On the day of install, Tyler and Mike were part of the team and they were pitching in and helping everybody with whatever was necessary. They were one of the first to arrive and when I went out to greet them, they were very polite and friendly and helped to explain what I could expect over the course of the day. Everybody was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They were also very respectful of our property. The company that was used to drill and run the propane lines, also very professional and respectful of our property. I truly appreciated the fact that this company handles all aspects of the process, from providing the estimate, up until installation and final inspection. I also found the price to be very fair. With that being said, I found communication between the different people that I dealt with to be lacking. I had to be incredibly proactive and basically act as my own project manager. That is not to say that the entire staff wasn't friendly and professional. They were. However, I appreciate and expect a more proactive communication style and I just didn't feel that I got that. I do realize that a process like this has a lot of moving parts and that I was not their only customer. With that being said, I would still recommend this company to anyone who is looking to install a whole house generator. They were professional and did handle all aspects of the process so I wasn't having to coordinate gas fitters, electricians, handling, county inspections, etc. The owners, Mike and Sarah, are both very nice. Mike came out after the install to do the overview and initial start up. He was also just out to install the fuel tank monitors. If you are looking to get a standby generator, I would definitely give them a call.

I purchased a new 27kW whole-home generator in June for more than $21,000 and pay another $41/month for monitoring and maintenance. Since installation, the generator has gone down THREE times and has spent more time inoperable than I ever expected from a brand-new system. What makes this worse is the customer service. The system is advertised as having 24/7 monitoring, yet I have repeatedly been the one calling THEM to find out why my generator is down. On multiple occasions, the person answering the phone either had no information or told me someone would call me back. Those callbacks routinely never happened. During the latest issue, their technician suspected a gas problem and told me Generac would coordinate with the gas company and let me know when they were coming. A week went by with no communication. When I finally called Generac, they suggested that I contact the gas company myself. So after spending over $21,000, I'm now coordinating my own troubleshooting. When the gas technician came out, he determined that Generac had installed the WRONG GAS REGULATOR and said it needed to be replaced. I called Generac while the technician was standing there so he could explain the issue directly. Their representative took notes and said she would pass everything to the service team. Two days later--nothing. I called again, and the representative couldn't even find the notes from the conversation with the gas technician. She said she would manually write everything down and put it on the service team's desk. I specifically asked for a status call the following day. Again--nothing. Equipment can malfunction. I understand that. What I cannot accept is a brand-new $21,000+ generator failing three times, an apparent installation error, advertised monitoring that hasn't resulted in proactive service, repeated promises of callbacks that never happen, and me having to coordinate between Generac and the gas company myself. I purchased a whole-home generator for reliability and peace of mind. Instead, this experience has created frustration and left me questioning whether I can depend on the generator when I actually need it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Generac of Annapolis. For the amount of money these systems cost, customers should expect far better installation quality, communication, accountability, and service.

They noticed that intakes were under-sized and filter was inadequate and replaced. I added the containment wall that they suggested. Extremely tidy (even put doen drop cloths). Nice to find a company that has respect for your house. Only issue is that some of infastructure needs improvement. Tracker of installers still showed at office when finished job, invoices for zero and general confusion. but that is minor.

I had a plumber come in for a consultation so that I could buy a tank-less water heater. I paid…read morefor a consultation so that I could buy a water heater that fitted with my home set up. I did not want to have to make changes to my house. I wanted to get a system that was compatible with my current set up. He gave me his advice and I ordered a Rheem 36kw tank-less water heater as instructed. He installed it and the next day it blew a fuse. Ok, no biggie. A few days later, it cut off again and would not turn back on. Called in an electrician and it turns out that the plumber didn't know what he was talking about. The fuse in my disconnet box blew because he hooked up the water heater's electrical components dangerously incorrect. The Rheeem he suggested requires 4 double 40 breakers to power it. He hooked it up to 1 double 30 breaker. Of course the system was too strong for the breaker and the wiring. I'm grateful my house didn't catch on fire but now I need to changed the breakers, upgrade wiring, and add additional disconnects to work the system properly. F that plumber. I paid him to avoid this. Enter Mister Electrical to the rescue. The tech came out. He was professional and extremely respectful of my home, even took extra time to make sure he didn't leave a spot behind him. After examining the set up and talking with his senior, the tech said they would take some time to make sure they get it right. He didn't want to give me any misleading information. The Senior plumber, being made aware of my situation, took a few days to go over the manual and my set up to find the best course of action for my problem. After a few days, he came up with a solution to hook it up to 2 double 60 amp breakers and to run it at a lower setting (the normal power settings were far beyond what I could ever use... damn plumber). At the end of the day, I appreciate how Mister Electric took the time to find the best solution to my specific problem. They were always respectful of my home and money. They could have rightfully charged me $5000 to hook it up like the manual basic instruction. But they took the time and effort to learn the system and find a way to save me over $3000 dollars.
