Only complaint was I found a couple of the sheet metal cut outs on the basement floor. Brady was mid price of everyone I compared. Picture shows the top layer of debris removed. Contacted JL Brady for a leaking pipe. Was charged $95 for a 10 minute consultation. The plumber and his apprentice entered the home without any tools or equipment looked at the water damage to the ceiling and contacted a restoration company and left. Restoration company then told me their service wasn't needed and advised me to remove the section to aide the plumber. Plumber never responded and then we received a bill. read more

He has come out twice to our home to help with furnace issues. He came during the Holiday season because he knew being without heat during winter would be hard for our family. He helped a lot, gave great advice, fixed our issue and charged a very fair price, especially during a Holiday. He warned us we would need to replace our furnace before the next winter. He came out this winter and installed a new furnace for us. He gave us warranty for labor and parts. He knew exactly which brand would work well for us and was very knowledgeable about explaining why. He installed the new furnace very quickly. We called and he was there the next day. He said he already had other appts so he'd get back to us when he could. I own an older home with a hot water based heating system. Since I knew what work I wanted to have done (I'm an engineer) I just wanted to find someone to do the work. JL Brady came recommended to me so I had them over to go over what needed to be done. First their technician argued with me about my choice of pumps. I told him that I have done all the research and know exactly what is going to work. Finally he called his office and they told him that what I had chosen would work just fine. Install however was going to have to be next week. The next week they came and did the install and one of their techs had to leave early due to an illness. I was OK with that, but JL Brady had no other people to help with the install. So, since I do most of my work around here anyway I helped the remaining tech finish the work. Problems began during the install. There was a small leak at one of the new pumps that the tech told me would heal itself. I knew better but since it was very late and I had been without heat most of the day I let it slide. Problem is they had to come out here a week or so later since the leak did not heal itself. So another tech came out and we fixed that leak like it should have been done during the first install. Then we discussed the work done on my air issues and I also told them that what they did during the initial install didn't fix that issue. He said he would get back with me. They never did. Then a few weeks after I received an invoice for when the second tech had to come out here and fix the leak. Needless to say I was NOT happy. I called them and demanded to know why I had to pay for them to fix their mistake. I never did get a call back. Invoices would come each month and at one point several months ago I sent them a letter explaining to them why I felt that I didn't need to pay that invoice. Never heard back from them. Months went by and I would receive invoices but I would just pile them up on my desk. Then this week I received a letter from them that they were going to put a lien on my property if I didn't pay not only the outstanding invoice, but they also told me that my first invoice of over a thousand dollars was NOT paid. This was the first I was hearing about that and i had proof that it was paid in full. I had to call in again this morning and finally I have the situation resolved. I was going to have to wait on the phone until I was able to speak with management. All in all it took about a year to get an invoice for a little over 200 dollars resolved. JL Brady does NOT stand by their work. They don't have enough techs to complete work, and they are not as knowledge as they would like you to think they are. Also it appears that their Accounting department has some issues. I would not recommend them to anyone at this point. read more

JL Brady was great from start to finish. The call to set-up the appt. was quick and easy. They gave me a 1/2 hour timeframe, and honored it. Usually, you have to be available for 4 or more hours with other services. The plumber was friendly and professional. He arrived on time and didn't mind my rude dog. He gave me options for my repair and made sure I was comfortable with the service and price. He replaced the faucet quickly and for $100 cheaper than I'd been quoted elsewhere. JL Brady (Furnace/Heating Repair) Furnace quit working on a Monday afternoon. Called and was told there would be a $69 service call/diagnostics charge and a technician would arrive within 30-45 minutes. Technician arrived within 45 minutes, was knowledgeable and professional. Found three problems almost immediately, rectified them and cleaned up when finished. Total charge for service, parts and labor was $284 and the furnace was up and running in less than an hour. J.L. Brady installed the a/c unit at the house we bought a few years ago. We called them this week because we are having problems with it. After a thorough inspection, they notified us what needs to be replaced. They also reviewed our file & learned that the a/c unit is still under warranty. Although they no longer service that brand of a/c units, they told us who to call so we could get it repaired at no charge. We had another service provider come over earlier in the day & they tried to simply replace the a/c unit. We greatly appreciate the integrity and professionalism of J.L. Brady. Although they did not get a sale, they have earned our respect. We will definitely go to J.L. Brady for all our future heating, a/c, and plumbing needs. read more
