TMI is truly an amazing company. I have their VIP plan and get both my AC and furnace serviced with them annually. I've had their plan for most my tenure in quad cities so dating to around May 2020. Yesterday I heard a loud thumb and my AC unit which is from 2006 and it was working inefficiently. I became very scared because new units are definitely an unforecasted cost. Same day TMI came out and within a matter of less than two hours; my technician was Travis. He usually services my home so I was happy to have him; although I think all their technicians are great. He did a through explanation of what the issue was explained it was covered. Additionally he showed me what he was doing and why which really helps add value. My home is now maintaining the 72 desired degrees. TMI is truly amazing and I sincerely thank Travis. read more

At a time where viruses are being passed around they disrespect their clientele by not wearing masks. They push their political agendas on you if they see a bumper sticker of an opposing political party on your car or even worse a candidate sign in your yard. We just needed some plumbing and bathroom work done. It was done shoddy and took longer than we were told. We go with another service now. read more

Yesterday While replacing my shower head the pipe in the wall had rusted and part was still screwed in the pipe behind the wall thought it would take a week to get someone to come out and fix it they were here at 8 am to day. Two very nice service people showed up said it may take having to cut a whole in the back wall I must have looked really shocked he said he would try to unscrew the piece it took him a half hour and it finally came out so he replaced the shower head. when they first showed up I also asked them if they could replace my little hot shot water heater under my sink while they were here so one worked on that and now I have a working shower and a hot cup of tea they were very polite explained everything also only took 2 hours to complete the whole job and the cost was very reasonable I will use them again and recommend them for very reliable work at a great price. read more

Just to start our AC was not originally installed by TMI. Our AC quit working during significant heat in July and we contacted TMI for repair services online. They contacted my wife the next day and setup an appointment for 2-4:30pm window. I had to take off work early to make this time happen and so I waited. Finally was contacted by a representative at 4:35pm to tell me that the technician was behind and that we could reschedule for another day or have someone come out after hours and be charged extra for being outside business hours. Just fantastic customer service. Needless to say we said 'no thanks we'll find someone else.' read more

Very prompt and fixed wiring issue that a mouse had chewed thru in 45 minutes. Problem is the expense! We actually called Springmeier who we had used for repairs for years. TMI answered explaining he had retired. It was 69 to come look at it and give estimate. We were used to the amount to look at it and if we said go ahead and fix it was the first hour of repair even if it took 10 minutes. But like I said he fixed it in 45 minutes but it was the 69 plus 115 for first hour. So the 45 minutes of work costs 184 no parts used. He did good work but won't use them again cause of price. My sister was getting work done and was gonna them but found a much more reasonable price at iowa Illinois Appliance repair. Wished I would have shopped around especially at Covid19 time. I will never use TMI again. I paid for their insurance plan for about 5years, which was a gimmic. When it came down to use it on my air conditioner, nothing was covered, and they would only give us a 25% discount. We decided to go with another company and bought a new unit. I wasn't upset with the fact that we had to buy a new air conditioner, I was upset with the fact that I felt completely taken advantage of. read more

Last year they installed my new Luxeaire furnace and air conditioner. I am in heaven! I have a log home and my old unit could only get my house to 78 degrees, with the second floor being 10 to 15 degrees hotter. My new unit works beautifully and in one hour (in August) had the house at 70 degrees! Does a great job in the cold weather too!! Kept the work area clean and they made sure they didn't track dirt in while they were hauling the units in and out. Totally recommend this company! read more

These guys did not do a good job for me. They came out and each time told me something different was wrong...bad circuit boards was the first one, and the second time it was a bad thermostat, and I forget what the third time was. Maybe I just got bad techs, but I won't call them again. read more

They've been trying to fix the dampers at the Moline YMCA for two weeks now & it's still not working right. The weight room is at least 15 degrees warmer than the rest of the facility. Hopefully they send out someone competent soon! read more

We have used them for 2 furnace replacements, 2 water heater replacements, sewer line inspection, washer and dryer inspection, stop valve installation, and ac installation. To say we are happy with this company is an understatement. They always give us a heads up call when they are on their way. They are professional when they are here. We recently needed our ac recharged and they came over 2 days later. It works wonderfully now. I recommend them to everyone because of the great work they do! read more

We had been having troubles with pilot light going out on our 6 year old water heater when it finally gave up the ghost on Sun June 3rd. I called TMI Tues June 5th and they came out the next day to diagnose and possibly repair. Control knob was bad. Tech said it was "obsolete" and had to order the part. Said it would be a week to get the part and would call to make appt when it came in. Estimate was $490!! Then he tried to sell me one of their water heaters for over $1000. Went with waiting for part. 8 days later, I called to check status of part. The girl who answered the phone said the approx delivery date for the part was Fri Jun 15th. When I inquired what was taking the part so long (1.5 weeks), she got snotty and acted like she could care less and offered no help in expediting anything. It is now Jun 18th and still no call from these people!!! Apparently they could care less about a customer who has been without hot water for 16 days!!! I purchased a 50 gal water heater from Home Depot for $628 and got it installed today for $100. These people are TERRIBLE!! No status update or explanation as to why they couldn't overnight this part. Per sears parts direct, the part cost is $95 and standard delivery is 7-8 days, so they were price gouging the h&ll out of me! And obsolete my butt...Sears still sells this water heater, which is an AO Smith water heater!!!!!! I will never call these money mongers again! read more

Just want to say thumbs up to the tmi guy that came this morning to fix my dryer !! He was very professional and polite, fixed my dryer it needed a belt, dressed in uniform looked very professional !! I will use tmi only if something goes wrong !!! There insurance program is well worth its money I pay $9 a month that covers washer and dryer if anything goes wrong !!! We were visiting our mother in the QC when she mentioned that she had an old toilet that "ran" all of the time. Called TMI to check it out. They said they would be here at 8 am. They rang the door bell at 8 am. The fellow who arrived was dressed nicely in a clean and pressed uniform, put on booties to walk through the house to the bathroom and inspected the toilet. He explained what was wrong with the toilet and that the toilet needed to be replaced. (The toilet was at least thirty years old). We agreed. He went to the warehouse and returned within the hour with an assistant and all of the parts for the toilet replacement. They laid down cardboard to protect the carpet when walking through the house, removed the old toilet, installed the new one and cleaned up after themselves. Both men were polite and gracious. The entire project was completed in a couple of hours. I would highly recommend TMI for any of your plumbing needs. Couldn't have been a better experience. Thank you, guys. read more
