My son was fitted for a Tuxedo in the San Francisco location during his spring vacation with his…read moredad. We bought the Tuxedo because he was attending two proms and it was less expensive to just buy it than rent it twice. All the SF store had to do was ship it to the Rockingham store...we did this all a month before the first prom...simple. Two days before the first prom we went in to pick up the tux at Rockingham and it had not left SF. The Assistant Manager of Rockingham, Woon Chul Fisher, called SF and confirmed that the tux would be sent overnight for delivery the next morning...tight, but still manageable. The next day when we went in...the tux had still not left SF. The staff at Rockingham leapt into high gear for us. They helped us select a lovely, tasteful suit and did alterations in record time. The worked with us on cost so that it wasn't horrible. They were patient with my hysterical, drama queen teenager, and they bent over backwards to make a *really* stressful situation far less of a disaster than it could have been. When I returned some rental pieces late they waived the charges...they didn't have to, being late was my fault, but they were just as kind as they could be at every juncture of this process... Woon Chul Fisher was so easy and wonderful to work with. The lady manager...long dark hair (I didn't get her name) was equally wonderful...all of the staff was helpful, understanding and professional. Definitely recommend this store as highly as I can.

Years ago this company had a 5 Star rating…read more My 1 star does not reflect on certain individuals who work there nor does it reflect on the cleanliness of the store. It is a reflection of the changes this company made. The clothes and accessories for big and tall have become pretty shitty at DXL. The people who make the purchasing decisions for the company need to take a much closer look at the quality of the products they are purchasing and selling for at top dollar!! Currently it's not worth it. The quality of these products have gone way downhill and doesn't speak highly for the company. But unfortunately there aren't a lot of choices for big and tall around here! A Tommy Hilfiger belt is poorly made and the sizes of the T-shirts aren't true to what is labeled on them. For instance, a 5XLT fits more like a 3XL. It is tapered and very snug. I am looking for someone, anyone in the corporate office to contact me based on this comment. You need to be made aware of the products you are selling and how they are NOT of good quality and do NOT justify the cost!

A recent pleasurable stop here where I came in to return clothing bought online. Pants didn't fit…read morecorrect. I met with a lady salesperson who was very nice and eager to assist in getting me the correct options. I chose a better pair of pants made by Harbor Bay with the elastic waist and belt option. Apparently this is the only company putting out these pants in their stock. The pants fit well, which was and is great for me. Pants are tough for heavy people to find but this store always prevails. Inside the store is clean and bright with plenty of clothing choices. They even have a line of New England Pro Teams clothing. I tried on a zippered too for NE Patriots but it just did not fit well, would fit better for a tall person with my build though. Prices are expensive but that's typical for a male clothing store. If you want to spend cheap, go to a big box retailer and get junk clothing. I'm guilty of it too. I don't come here often because i usually buy bulk one time when I'm here. I don't need to replace my clothes all that often, but if I do, I know i can depend on this store for options. Private parking lot and convenient off the main road. Certainly a recommendation for all!

this place is useless…read more two people working there, after they greeted me they ignored me. i was the only customer in the store. for 20 min i browsed the boot section, which stock is not accessible to the customer, glancing up to see if either person would acknowledge or offer assistance. one kid stared out the front window like a mannequin. the other leaned against a shelf on their phone. i shouldn't have to go out of my way to get your attention to spend my hard earned money on your boots that cost over $100 even though they're made in vietnam. i finally just walked out. zero retail etiquette. i hope this place closes.

This business engages in unethical practices. My daughter made a purchase mid Dec 2024 for a…read morerelative and it needed to be returned. The receipt given to my daughter was only a gift receipt. When we went to return the item, we were told it would have to be a merchandise credit which we protested as original buyer. We were finally able to call the store in Mass where purchase was made and the asst mgr looked up and emailed the receipt to the Nh store. We were never told the receipt was a gift receipt in the bag and that the original receipt was never offered. Our guess is that this was intentionally done so that customers are forced into a merchandise credit. The Salem NH staff flat out refused to credit my account but we were in some way fortunate to talk to an asst mgr in the Lynnfield Mass store where the org purchase was made to obtain the receipt and provide it to NH. Buyer beware. No more a customer there.

This review is for Walking Company online. I really wish I had read reviews prior to getting…read moreinvolved with them. I placed the first order which went fine, and I loved the shoes. Second order shoes didn't fit so I returned. Per tracking they received the item back on 4-1. A week ago and no refund. I contacted them and the AI bot said returns take 15 days from when the item is received. Why would that be? Do they just want two weeks of float on the money, or are they really that inefficient? Anyway a major red flag. But the real shocker came on the third order. An item was sent that had absolutely nothing to do with my order and was three sizes too small!! And it was a final sale. Customer service did send a return label once I proved I had the wrong item. Thing is, the invoice in the box was also for the wrong item, which doesn't match the order. So I have little faith they will be able to figure this out. Great shoes, but this business is a mess. In this day and age with so much online ordering this kind of thing is unacceptable. If a Walking Company store was nearby I'd probably frequent a bricks and mortar store, but I won't be ordering online from them again.

An order I placed on October 13 is lost in the mail. I have been pleading with customer service…read morerepresentatives asking for a refund, or even a replacement package and they are refusing both. The only compromise they are willing to make is offering a 10% discount to purchase another item from their company which I never will do again.
