I have been a customer of Chico's since they opened their first store on Sanibel Island many years…read moreago. This is not about the stores or merchandise but about their shipping and returns. Chico's recently changed their shipping and returns to Indiana from Georgia where orders were processed and shipped quickly. On the two occasions where I mailed a return, they were also processed quickly. Not any more!! It takes a minimum of two weeks to receive an order and their system does not update as in the past with tracking info. My one return by mail took 6 weeks after delivery for credit. Parking at their area stores is a nightmare thus why they were mailed. Come on Chico's. In this day and time, this is inexcusable. Indiana labor can't be cheaper than Georgia. Change it back to there where they knew what they were doing!

I've shopped at the Bellevue Square location for several years and have invested frequently in my…read morewardrobe with Chico's. Today, I walked in to trade a dress I'd purchased online for my Dad's funeral next week, because it was the wrong size. I'd called ahead in advance to make it easy on everyone. The dress in the right size was waiting for me, but the salesperson was not happy about helping me. In fact, she couldn't get rid of me quick enough. I'd seen a necklace shown with the dress online and it looked like a teardrop, which felt appropriate for the occasion. I picked it out, found earrings and a matching bracelet, without anyone helping me. It turned out that one of the earrings didn't have a back to it. The salesperson called over the "manager" to help. She shrugged at it and tried to convince me a "back" on a pair of pierced earrings was not necessary, then went on to the next customer. For several years, shopping at Chico's in Bellevue Square was something I looked forward to. Now, I'll never go there again. I wasn't dressed up, in fact, I didn't look my best. This experience was the first time I'd been in public since my Father died. I figured I'd be greeted with the same warmth and friendliness I'd always experienced before, but it was AWEFUL!!! A store filled with snobby sales people and a heartless manager. Here's a tip Chico's, just because someone doesn't "dress the part" when they shop in your store, doesn't mean they don't belong there. You never know what's someone's going through, so when in doubt, be kind.
