The store and the associates were super nice and friendly and the store was super clean so I was really impressed by that I used to work for JCrew for about five years in a different location and they definitely made it very clean and the standards were great. The men's section is fairly small but you can get all your staple pieces here. The outlet pricing and the outlet sales can make it a worthwhile trip if you're planning on get anything J Crew. It can be a little hard to find the sizes you want and you may have to do some digging. The customer service was non-existent. I didn't get greeted nor spoken to while I was in this store. Discount prices on J Crew are always good but I've been to better J Crew outlets. read more

This is my favorite place to shop for J. Crew duds. The store is usually not very busy (I think this is a less busy area of the Gilroy Outlets in general...) and the stock stays fairly well organized. They carry many of the cute J. Crew basic sweaters, tops, pants, etc as well as some of the fun belt/sandal/purse accessories. I usually head to the women's sale section in the back right of the store fairly quickly to see what steals are available... read more

I like the brick and mortar stores, especially the one in Winston Salem. It's a clean store with friendly staff and reasonable prices. However, I gave J. Crew Factory a 2 star review because ordering online is a very disappointing experience. Customer service is terrible, and the website seems to show that things are in stock that are not. Here is what happened to me: I attempted to order a dress, sweater, and turtleneck. All three appeared in my shopping bag. I submitted my order and then got a "Thank You" note with an order number. 2-3 hours later, I noticed that my order had an error. It was missing the dress, which is what I really wanted. There was absolutely no information in the order or online regarding how to cancel the order or to get help in figuring out what had happened to the dress. Furthermore, I'd been charged shipping even though I had a J Crew rewards card, the benefits of which list "free standard shipping." Anyhow, I finally connected with someone (or a Bot) on the Live Chat, and basically, J Crew wouldn't work with me at all. They said it was too late to cancel the order even though it was still just being processed and had not shipped or anything! Then they would not refund me the $5 shipping even though my information was in their system and they'd found my rewards account. They said that I could return everything and they'd waive the $5 return shipping fee, but I had already told them I was just going to return it to our local store. So that was an empty offer. Anyhow, I think I was talking to a "bot" because every message started in the exact same way and didn't seem like a real person. Anyhow, this was literally just about the worst customer service I've ever had with retail store. Now I've wasted time and money and will have to go out during a pandemic to return things to the real store. I've ordered online from other places like Belk, QVC, and Talbots, and they go out of their way to work with you if something is wrong with your order. I won't be ordering from J Crew Factory again! If I do shop there again, it will only be in the brick and mortar stores. As I've read through other reviews, it seems that dreadful customer service and errors in orders are two recurring themes with this retailer. What a shame because they do have some lovely clothes and jewelry! But no more online ordering for me. read more

Did you know that some brands create specific products just for their outlets? They use cheaper materials and attempt to pass them off as a "deal." Look it up. I find the clothing I buy there is of inferior quality and extremely expensive for what I'm getting. Once in a while I find something "worthy," but over the years I've learned to just go for the flippy floppies (they are my fave). Student ID's will get you a 15% discount. Service is good. read more

Beware of this website, as they allow you to use promo codes, but then remove them after you pay. I placed an order, applied a promo code, was prompted for my credit card showing the discount, paid and placed the order. However, the confirmation that came shortly after had removed the discount and the order was placed for the regular price. Thankfully, I noticed it and was able to cancel. The "chat" experience to cancel was satisfactory and my order was canceled immediately, but I'm still disappointed that the discount was initially accepted but then removed after payment. read more

This is one of my favorite J Crew places. The selection in the regular places is just ridiculous as are the prices. This is much more palatable. Loved the selection here and the prices were fair. I personally think the selection here is better than in the normal stores. I found sweaters, shirts, socks, boxers, and other items. This is seriously 4 times more than I've ever bought at a regular J Crew store. I can't really imagine going to another one. read more

J Crew competes with Banana Republic and Brooks Brothers for customers. This is a good outlet store. The presentation was nearly indiscernable from a regular J Crew store. They had a selection of first-quality clothing with decent markdowns, plus some items that were clearly made for the outlets that were almost, but not quite, as nice. My problem is that it's right near the Banana Republic and Brooks Brothers outlets, so you get a clear comparison on prices. Banana Republic had deeper discounts, and Brooks Brothers is the more established brand for dress shirts and ties. Still worth checking out though, as I nearly bought some flip flops before deciding I would never need fancy flip flops. read more

Hello, my name is Michelle Munoz, I received a gift from your j crew factory store without the a gift receipt this past Saturday, 08-11th, today I went to your Gilroy Factory store and ask for help... I couldn't even finish the sentence and she just said: " I can't do anything without the receipt, I'm the manger of the store". I understand the intention of inventory control or whatever but I do not understand that we as clients have to deal with the lack of control that you have and of course with the lack of criteria of your manager. May be you can't understand how the market is changing and if you are betting in managing the service of your stores (even though a factory store) with a person that have a 100 year old vision of how to deal with such a simple issue, you will certainly close a lot of your retail stores. Decent selection and 15% off with a student ID! Even though I like J. Crew stuff generally, I find that their merchandise is ridiculously overpriced. Coming to the outlet stores helps somewhat, but as other Yelpers have pointed out, J. Crew outlets sell clothes made of lower quality fabrics. A lot of times, the styles and cuts look the same as what you can find in their regular retail stores, but then you feel the material and you can tell it's not nearly as quality. Sometimes they have good sales though, which make it worth my while. Also, I like the fact that they have a very large space, so it never feels crowded like the Banana Republic Outlet store just a few doors down. Also, I've found that their staff are usually very friendly and helpful. read more

I am still a fan even though I shop here a lot less then I once did. I think I own pretty much every dress and every cardigan color they sell, except for red. Went in recently for a new long sleeved black cardigan as my last one had finally bit the dust, and a red cardigan. For some reason, no one has red cardigans and I really feel that this is missing from my wardrobe. Oh well, the hunt continues. All shoes were 50% off so of course I bought two pairs. They do not have all the same shoes that the regular J Crew does, but they usually have a good selection of ballet flats, and these have been my go to flats for years. Cute colors, super comfy and durable. Managed to leave with a couple other finds that were just too good to pass up. Overall, great prices, good quality and always up to date and on trend staples. read more

Tied with Nautica for the whitest store ever, but with a better selection of staples. I tend to think of this store in the Fall/Winter because to me it's almost synonymous with sweaters/chinos. Not the best cuts of clothing, a more "American" cut, which means buy a size smaller if you like fitted clothes. The prices are ok, especially here if you find a solid sale, which is pretty common. If you're in the market for some casual preppy/collegiate attire, this is a good spot. read more

Ordered online to J Crew Factory. I did not receive order. Called 3 times all times was on hold for a minimum of 35 minutes before hanging up longest being an hour an half. Not sure anyone ever answers the phone. Emailed through their contact us option, and that was days ago, no response. So apparently I ordered clothing paid for it and just never got it and now I'm shit out of luck. I emailed a second threatening to call BBB and still haven't heard. Good selection of stuff, factory goods are pretty much same quality as regular J. Crew, maybe a bit worse, prices a little cheaper. Service is normally good as well, although last time I was there we waited forever since there were 10 people in line, one cashier and the lady in front of me was returning / exchanging/ buying 20 different things. The J.Crew Factory store is great for seasonal basics and reproductions of items I missed first time around at J.Crew. Have recently lost 25 pounds, I've been updating wardrobe as time permits. During my visit last Saturday, the store was bustling, but it was more than adequately staffed for a weekend and I received a friendly greeting upon entering. It's wise to shop as early as possible for best selection. The one negative aspect of my experience was the extremely dusty condition of the dressing rooms. I was definitely not happy that my allergies kicked into high gear during the 20 minutes spent trying on clothes! Overall, good experience and savings, but please vacuum more frequently for a positive shopping experience for your customers! read more

This is not a bad place to browse the clearance section in the back. Sizing is all over the place... very oversized sometimes. Why does a pair of toothpick jeans in size 24 Short look like mom jeans? (Sometimes, a size 24 fits me like overly stuffed sausage casing.) The jewelry is at the level of Forever21 but cost many times more. My new favorite store!! They have great product and they always have great deals on almost everything. They have amazing basic pieces for work and play. The store is always clean and very organized -- making it very easy to shop. My only issue is that some of the cashiers were repeatedly pushy with the j crew credit card, but other than that the customer service is great! I will definitely keep shopping there. read more

It's a hit-or-miss for me at this store. Sometimes they have a good selection and sometimes it's bare. But I found some cute summer dresses this time around. I found my size which is rare at this store, a lot of clothes leftover are n larger sizes. I was able to use my j.crew gift card here so I paid nearly nothing for my dresses. Horrible customer service. I found a sweater, at clearance section, with price tag $99. I brought it over to the counter to check the price because the store is advertising additional discount on clearances. Without checking the price, the sale clerk told me "price as marked", with an attitude like I'm annoying her with my stupid question. Disappointed but I still brought the sweater back to put it on the shelf of the clearance section where I found it. I used to work at retails and I know it's just a courtesy a customer can do just to feel like you're a nice customer, that's all. The same clerk who didn't want to check the price for me, yelled out to me from across the store if I could find a "hanger" for the sweater, as though I worked for her. She was really pissed that I didn't find a hanger and put the sweater back on a hanger, on the rack, exactly how I found it! What's about people who leave stuff in the fitting rooms? Are you going to scorn them too? At least I brought the sweater back to the "area" where I found it. I assumed the hanger must have been in the fitting room where I tried on the sweater, or who knows who moved the hanger! After being talked down about the marked price, I was unhappy and didn't have the energy to do a full store search for her hanger! I regretted walking into this store today! Never again! After one wash there is a huge hole in the sweater. I have called and left them two emails with no response or accountability. I LOVE J. Crew and J. Crew Factory. It's where I do most of my shopping. This is the nearest store to me and I go fairly often. This past trip it was the most clean and quiet I have ever seen. So great! I have a couple of issues with the store that are more corporate and not worth mentioning. Some of the staff is friendly and chatty while others are more focused on folding or a particular chore. For the most part they are well stocked but they do run out of sizes frequently. read more

It's a fact, I love JCrew. And I definitely wasn't disappointed with JCrew factory. I went on my way home to the Bay Area during the week between Christmas and New Years. As I shopped I noticed that everything was 50% off! Sale and reg price. And when I went to the registered I found out there was an extra 20% off for the holidays. I ended up getting a really nice long and thick coat for $70! Originally $250. And among other things, I got several statement necklaces that priced between $11-22. doesn't get better than that! I was a very happy girl when I left the store :) read more

I never leave reviews but this time I need to leave a review. I went in on April 19 around 3 o'clock in the afternoon the store was empty and not busy at all. Customer service was atrocious at this store. There was only one person on the register and she was helping another customer and granted she was helping that customer 10 minutes prior to me standing in line I stood in line waiting an additional 10 minutes and there was three employees in the store including the poor girl at the register helping an extremely need customer. I approached and employee near by asking her if there was an additional person that can ring up since there were two people in line in addition to my self she said no that she's not able to ring up, I ok no problem is the manager here maybe she can ring people up she said yes so then I went over to where she pointed towards the managers direction and she was folding clothes and asked her if she was able to ring up and she said no the cashier should finish up shortly. Once the cashier was done ringing up the customer that was being helped for about 20 min. the first employee I approached asking if there was additional cashiers hopped on the register and lo and behold she can ring up customers as well and they traded spots so not sure what that was about and why only one person can ring up at a time when they have 4 registers and a line of customers. read more

I had never shopped at a J Crew Store. I always thought the prices would be too expensive but I liked to see the clothing on the mannequins. I went in the J Crew Store in Gilroy last month to check out the clothes. I have been losing weight and I thought maybe I would fit into something, since some stores don't carry plus sizes I stay away from some clothing stores that are popular. I was surprised to find that there were sweaters on sale, and they fit! I loved them and I got the same sweater in three different colors. I will use these in the winter. The sales personnel were great and very helpful. I will go back and shop. read more
