We were quoted $24,799.52 and we wound up paying him $31,1968.64. The final payment was on 12/27/2025. The end of March 2026, we received a letter from a attorney advising that a lien has been placed on our house, because Harrison Weightman did not pay for all the materials and equipment that was furnished for our roof, in the amount of $8,926.19, plus interest, costs, and attorney fees. We are senior citizens and had paid Harrison Weightman in full from our savings. We do not have money to pay for his negligence and failure to pay the supplier. I would NEVER have Harrison Weightman do anything for you. RUN, BEWARE. He is completely ignoring his responsibility and has not responded to the lawyers. He also has a pending court case where another party is suing him for over $10,000 in Ada County, Idaho. I have seen numerous reviews where he took money and did not finish the job.

The home is two stories with a 530 square foot workshop and 530 square foot apartment with a loft and large exterior deck. The home was finished in spring of 2019 and is currently my primary home and I rent out my other house on the property. Alex (the owner of WOB) and his team were awesome to work with throughout the project. Alex was good about communication and letting me know the various stages of the build. He is passionate about construction (and his mini excavator) and was out at the project much of the time directing and performing the work himself. This was my first large construction project and Alex made it easy to do business. The quality of the work was outstanding, and his pricing was very agreeable. WOB was flexible to changes in design as the project moved along and did not come back with price adjustments outside of large upgrades (which I requested) which were not in the initial design/build quote. I was expecting to engage WOB in conjunction with R&B Design Studio LLC (to provide the building design/permitting) to assemble a house based on architectural drawings. Both teams worked closely together to execute a full top to bottom project management services package that included architectural drawings, scheduling, material and design selections, construction, permitting, etc. R&B Design Studio LLC is a company that works in conjunction with WOB on many projects and did an outstanding job to design a space that feels much larger than it really is and is highly functional. WOB also has a show room to help select materials and builds custom cabinets making it simple to select materials without having to search for these items and do price/quality comparisons. This made it very helpful being a working professional. Also, both teams helped select interior flooring, cabinets, tiles, countertops, etc. which is a large benefit as I find this difficult without guidance. They made it super easy to do business with them and even found a way to shave about $8,000 off the project through working with the city on specific criteria. I would highly recommend both Western Oregon Builders and R&B Design Studio LLC for any construction project. The end product is so much more than I anticipated, I could not be more appreciative of their service.

After our meeting, Greg put together a very detailed quote and plan for cabinets and countertops, complete with very nice digital sketches/outlines, and mirror closets for master and bedroom. The quote was made so we could remove any items as needed and could see the price we'd pay. Very easy to follow. We went with countertops and mirror closets, plus demo of old closets, old countertops and demo of this random mirror/cabinet set in our condo. He also worked with us on our budget and understood what we could not move forward with. This meant a lot to us as first time homeowners. Once he got to work, I remembered a few other items that we could need and once again asked Greg if he'd be able to do it and of course, he said yes. We needed a mantel removed from above our fireplace and we wanted to replace our bathroom mirrors with new mirrors. He happily added those to our list of requests. Greg is very flexible and also was like a mentor to us. He was honest about the things we could do on our own to save money. He also discovered a few broken valves that our inspector missed and helped us fix those as well. Greg was 1 of 3 to respond right away. The two others that responded right away gave me quick bids of $300-400$. I asked them "isn't that a little high for one hours work.... I'm in construction myself and know what this type of job takes." They basically agreed to re-negotiate but I was so turned off I didn't care to deal with them, as Greg already agreed to do it for his $150 minimum. He was a really nice guy so I ended up hanging out with him and watching him work because I'm weird like that And like to learn. I learned about his experience in construction and how he is launching into a new phase with some high-tech laser machinery. We laughed at his dilemma: "should I focus on cabinetry or advertising and signage." I told him him idk but I'll include it in the Yelp review. Lol. So yeah Greg is honest and reliable and gave me the fairest deal. He's got some crazy lasers now and will do your job probably for a very good deal because that is going to cut down the cost of production tremendously (I'm assuming). So give him a call eh?
