We had Roger and Elizabeth's Bridge City team start on projects the day after closing on our new older house.  So, we basically moved in with them.  I thought the new house would benefit from some updates and thought that we might as well do them right away.  I'm glad we made that decision.   We asked the Bridge City team to update an already very nice kitchen by replacing a four-burner electric glass cooktop with downdraft to a six-burner gas cooktop with island hood. It's a huge improvement and it looks fantastic.   The main projects were two of the bathrooms.  Both had good footprints but hadn't been updated since the house was built in 1993.  Out with the Formica countertops and sliding plastic shower doors and carpet (yes, in the bathroom).  In with tile and more tile, frameless glass shower stalls, freestanding tub, and beautiful finishes.   The team did a phenomenal job.  I wouldn't be surprised if the projects paid for themselves in resale value.   Throughout the month and half project timeline, Roger's team was very friendly and thoughtful in how they treated our new house and us who hadn't been able to fully move in yet.  I trusted them, which made all the difference.  Roger and Elizabeth are super responsive and creative.  Roger was flexible with oddball requests (change out a high chandelier; patch a bunch of old wall panels; etc.) and Elizabeth was always ready for a design consultation.   I'd hire them again for sure, and in fact already have other thoughts for projects with them. read more

I had what i thought was just a small job that i needed help with and asked Roger & Elizabeth of Bridge City Contracting to see if they could take a look at it and possibly fix it for me. They came out and discovered that it was a much bigger job that what was originally thought. They had to completely replace a post that was supposed to be supporting the overhang on my front porch, replaced the damaged braces, fixed some damaged trim on the front door and around the garage door and painted everything. I had to be out of town but when i got back everything was done and looked great. They were very friendly and easy to work with. I'm hoping to use them for future projects. Bridge City renewed my faith in contractors! I had been working w another contractor to try to get a dishwasher installed in a home that never had a dishwasher before. We needed electrical and plumbing work done. For 3 weeks the other contractor kept promising to get someone out to give us a quote. I was on a tight timeline so that contractor really messed up my schedule and caused a great deal of stress. Out of desperation I contacted Bridge City to see if there was any possibility they could do the work quickly. Elizabeth got someone out to my house immediately to work up a bid. My house was a challenge because of plaster walls and other oddities of an older house. Elizabeth got the work scheduled immediately and the plumber and electrician did the work when they said they would, and they did a great job. I expected that we would have to do some repairs on our walls, but they did great work. They didn't have to open up the walls as much as they thought they would and they covered the small hole expertly. I'm so grateful to Bridge City & Elizabeth for the fast, professional work. They were so easy to work with, and did more than they promised. I'll be using Bridge City for future work at my house. read more
