A funky rustic spot on the Rim Canal in Okeechobee. Cabins for rent and RV spots available. Bar on premises open 7 days. Some weekends there are food trucks. Don't go there much in the summer cause it's so hot but rest of the year it's one of my favorite destinations. Great little watering hole outside of Okeechobee. My boyfriend and I are in town for the winter months and found this little gem walking distance from our rental. It's worn, it's local, it's not fancy - only beer and wine (pretty standard for the area). Super cheap with Happy Hour (5-7p) $1 drafts - the closing times change depending on if anyones around (this can be discouraging as the place gets going around 4p and usually closes before 8p). On Sundays, there's a huge Biker crew with a food truck and music outside - quite a scene. I've been using the bar for the wifi internet and cheap beer (in frosted mugs), people are pretty darn nice if you're not trying to cause any trouble. Would definitely recommend as a stop for some beers and local color- Side note: they do serve food, but pretty limited....boiled peanuts, nachos, etc. it's doable....especially after some drinks read more

I never got to stay at the fish camp, my my wife suffered a life threating illness and ended in the hospital for three months. and now has lost her ability to walk and use her hands. Anyway we had already paid for the stay and had to cancel. Now they are refusing to refund our payment will not return calls and ignore anything I send. Pretty crappy if you ask me, so right now I am out almost a 1000 bucks. read more

If I could I would give this place no stars. The "office" is located inside the bar. They hardly answer the phone calls. The actual campsite is nothing close to what the website shows. It's beyond dirty, liter all over the site, alcohol liter including bottles are all over the campsite. We even saw people walking around the campsite drinking alcohol as early as 10:00am. The walk way for the canal is broken, there is a boat on the canal that is about to fall apart. The gift shop is closed, with the metal clothes metal racks outside. The holiday decor is inside a run down open shed. We asked for a disabled parking when we called, when we got there they said they don't have disabled parking. They are not organized, the bartender had to call the owner concerning our reservation, they told us that we can park our Rv wherever we find an open spot. Never ever are we going back. This place is trash, dirty and horrible. Please don't be fooled by the website. This place looks like the movie Amityville Horror House. This is no place for a family trip, even less families with kids. We would have left but we already paid for the so called campground. This place is depressing, disgusting and gross. Layed back cool little bar. Clean, right on the North side of the lake. It was a Sunday and they had a band playing. Beers were a buck twenty five. Heard they had free hot dogs but nothing but buns and condiments when I approached the hot dog stand. The breeze from the lake keeps the air cool around the bar. I called this business at 12.21 pm. They don't open until noon. There was no answer so I left a detailed message as requested. My wife and I just purchased a new bass boat and wanted to spend some time at lake Okeechobee. I waited all day for a return call. It never came. So I called back at 9:20 pm. And I was told that Terri would call me tomorrow. When I told them I had waited all day for a call back and asked if that was their policy they hung up. Are you kidding me. Cabins have been rehabbed, landscaping improved, many many new and exciting changes. It back to the way it was and even better. , Exceptionally clean, rustic old Florida Fish Camp. Great destination on the Harley! Usually have a live band on Sundays and some BBQ food for sale. Foods nothing great but if the weathers nice it's a great place to sit outside have a cold drink and listen to the band!! read more

Very irresponsible.. don't waste your time. Made reservations 3 days prior to spend this Memorial Day weekend camping and fishing with the family. Drove 2+ hours to find out they don't have the accommodations reserved (Winnebago RV) available, they stated the A/C broke down (a little difficult to swallow since a technician is only a phone call away). They optioned a small cabin with one full bed (family of 4) with the restroom drain clogged.. would have to go across the road to use the restroom. You can't make this stuff up.. all the frustration could have been avoided with a phone call. read more

My sister and I went to stay for 3 nights just a couple weeks ago. We use to go there all the time when the previous owners had it. Well, let me tell you how disgusting it was. We got the largest room for 100.00 a night. The room was NOT fit for an animal let alone a human! We were appalled in the filth. We went down and bought new sheets and cleaning products because we were determined to make the best of it. After 5 hours of cleaning because of the rain the living room ceiling started falling in then lord and behold if the large bedroom was leaking and the bed we just made was soaked!!! We were so pissed we walked in the bar and raised hell. Oh by the way there was tons of dead palmetto bugs, dead spiders and even dead bees in all the windowsills. I can't even describe how bad it was. I've stayed at ALOT of fish camps and never experienced this in my life. It's such a shame it was such a nice place. The previous owners would just die if they could see all the hard work they did was ran into the ground. The new owner and manager should be ashamed of themselves.
