The transformation has been remarkable! The new owners and staff are excellent and tota customer oriented. I was here 6-7 yrs ago and it's amazing to see the renovations and upgrades. I love this place. The Lock to enter Lake Okeechobee is right there across from the boat dock. The lots are spacious, clean and well planned. This is a Very friendly environment. The boat dock are so convenient! The Power pole on our site acted up on our first day and they took care of it immediately! From moment one Jodi and Joe gave us red carpet service. They made room for us last minute when our other campground overbooked, helped back us in, and made numerous recommendations of local restaurants and attractions. So friendly and so welcoming. We felt like family! The new owners are just as wonderful! They are adding many improvements and amenities to the campground. No doubt - they will be "the spot" to be in Okeechobee. Can't wait to see their dreams come to fruition. Lord knows they are investing millions into the park. The park restrooms are very clean (thank you Suzy), conveniently located, and has beautiful Marina. If you're staying in Okeechobee - this is the place to be! read more

I stayed in one of the extended stay cabins for a week. They are small efficiency cabins that have a bed, kitchen, bathroom and closet. There is a window unit that doesn't quite cool the place off, even after being ran all day. There were not blinds on half of the windows, so we covered them with foil. The shower was pretty small and appeared to drain out on the ground. The toilet did not seem to have enough pressure to completely flush. There is no option to have wifi (unless you get it connected yourself), and there is hardly any cell reception. The extended stay cabins are across the canal from the rv park, and they are right on the water. While I stayed here I saw many people at all hours out fishing. The cabin was cute on the outside, but pretty dirty and run down on the inside. I would make sure to call ahead way on advance in order to give them plenty of time to clean the place up a little, if you are planning on staying here. read more

I stayed over Jan 1, 2022 and the new owners are really making strides to keep the RV Resort in better shape, the main amenity outside of the 50 amp service is the location right on Taylor Creek it's really relaxing , Okeechobee is very accessible only 5 min away with all shopping you need. Great rates, great location (right near the locks to Lake Okeechobee), surrounded by canals and Taylor Creek, has a marina, includes utilities, has free wifi for guests, has wonderful management, and is a great little community. Lots of fishing and boating opportunities, there's a rec room for folks to play cards or whatever they like, there's always something fun going on. I never want to leave! read more

I am writing a review about the disgusting Taylor Creek RV resort so-called resort in Okeechobee Florida. We were looking for a place where we could stay six months on the water. I'm looking at their website it look like they were surrounded by bright blue Clearwater and that we would be able to fish from the bank of our RV site. We called the place and spoke with a representative by the name of Dawn who led us to believe that this was a nice facility with ample room and a concrete pad for our RV and that she would give us the best light on the water with a shade tree. The reserve in order to reserve the slot we had to put down a total of three months rent which amounted to about 20 $2500. This was on a Saturday and right after we did this their office was closed we were given the number of the law which was lots 79 and we went out to Okeechobee to look at the site. The place looks nothing like the pictures on their website. The place is absolutely disgusting with drunks hanging out barely dressed. The roads although they appear to be paved had ruts in large holes all over the place making it difficult to navigate. Lot number 79 even though it was supposedly on the water was on Taylor Creek which is totally overgrown with grass and weeds. There is nowhere to fish or sit by the water on that lot. The lot itself has a concrete pad which was cracked in multiple places and not big enough to accommodate our RV. The rest of the lot was all weeds which were overgrown with absolutely no grass. We tried to call them back on Sunday for a refund. My new our reservation was to begin November 1. No one could help us on Sunday so we were told to call on Monday. We called on Monday and spoke with a manager who was very rude and unapologetic and argumentative about what a dump this place is. We requested a refund and were told that we would not get a refund and we would have to pay the whole three months amount. Even though I will lose my money I would never go to this place ever because it is absolutely disgusting. If I could I would give them zero stars. read more
