I was truly disappointed I'm this place, mostly the uncaring kids that work there. Six days after…read moremy car was towed there (including the weekend, to be fair) I stopped in to take a picture of the codes necessary for the correct part. Kraig was good to tell me them over the phone the day before, but it sounded like he said it was a PCM, when in fact, it was a BCM. Wish he would've been more clear, but not a big deal. When we were walking out there, we noticed the right rear tire was flat, even though my car was towed there & was a-ok at that point. Kraig stated it must be a slow leak; wasn't like that a couple of days ago. This was a Tuesday, yet they're closed on weekends (??). In checking out the tire, he then said it was getting low in 3 hrs. Be that as it may, When I picked up the car after it was done, immediately I saw big white scratches on my rear bumper that was not there before. Went in to inform Kraig & while we were looking at it, I then noticed a smaller mark on the front bumper, which was completely repainted just a few months beforehand & was also fine when it was towed there! He tried to downplay it & said he'd get ahold of the owner. In the meantime, I received photos from the tow truck company proving it was fine upon arrival there, yet Kraig said the owner was only willing to pay for the back bumper! Thankfully I disputed the charges with the AMEX (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), so then he caved in & paid for both bumpers. I later found out they will actually use a quad runner ATV to push in and out cars if necessary!! The tire was suspicious since it happened well into their possession, but I let it go since I wanted nothing else than to move on & put this behind us. If all this wasn't enough, they didn't even have the courtesy to use a paper floor mat, so my car was rather filthy especially on the driver side. Unless you want your car treated like this folks, there are places very close by (Ewerts Automotive, Art's automotive) that treat their customer's cars with more respect & are much more reasonable. Low integrity automotive charges approx $185/hr, which is comparable to dealers!!

Reached out again, took the car back for another alignment., left it AGAIN for days. STILL the car is out of alignment. After consulting another repair shop we were told that it was likely never aligned, period. In the process we have ruined two brand new tires. We had also replaced the rear struts at Central and have been advised that the parts they used were of the lowest quality and need to be replaced. It has only been two months. There was a bit of a language barrier but I'm not sure if it was truly an issue or out of convenience. If you're also a gringo, I would take my money elsewhere. Within the first week of buying this truck, the check engine light came on. I brought it back 5 times, and instead of fixing it, they just cleared the codes to hide the issues. In less than a year, I have had to bring this truck to their shop TWELVE TIMES. As of today, it is back in the shop AGAIN for the 12th time for ongoing electrical issues, "Service Stabilitrak," and ABS sensor problems that they claimed they already fixed. They also charged me $600 for a right wheel hub that didn't fix anything, ignored a damaged driver-side sensor I pointed out, and couldn't fix a fuel tank issue that prevents me from even filling it up with gas. It even completely shut down on me once, forcing me to pay out-of-pocket for a tow all the way back to Minooka. They kept it for a month, refused to give me a loaner car, and left me completely stranded. To top it off, while it was in their care, they slammed something into my truck and left a massive dent in my rear bumper, making me wait another month for them to fix their own property damage. I finally had to take it to an independent, local mechanic just to get an honest answer on why this vehicle is always broken. The truth is sickening: it is going to cost over $5,000 just to get this truck safely operating. Simotes fully knew this truck was absolute garbage, but they cleared the engine codes, slapped it on their lot, and took advantage of me. When you try to call them to get answers, it gets even worse. The woman in the finance/customer service department completely over-talks you, acts incredibly dismissive, and treats you with pure disrespect. When I finally demanded to speak to a supervisor, he was just as rude and dismissive as she was. This entire experience has been a total nightmare. This truck has spent more time broken down in a shop than it has been on the road. They are a shady, dishonest dealership that will sell you an unsafe vehicle and then treat you like dirt when it falls apart. Buyers beware: stay far away from Simotes!

Unfortunately I can no longer recommend this place due to low quality work, efficiency, and communication. I shouldn't have to leave my vehicle for over 2 months and still not have my issues fixed. Second time I left it there they made it even worse, but I wanted to give them a chance for redemption. Update - October 24, 2026: After privately contacting the owner to clarify my concerns, his only response was a laughing emoji (). I found this response disappointing and unprofessional, particularly given the issues I've experienced with my vehicle. Funny he just wanted to completely dismiss the review altogether. It really shows how fragile their ego is. I'd expect this behavior from a child but it's a grown ss man with a family typing this. John (the owner) shows his behavior is quite embarrassing and is a huge reflection of the shops attitude.

I do service dispatch for a living, and I would never speak to someone in need the way their dispatcher spoke to me. The woman on the phone was shockingly rude -- talking over me, blaming my insurance for "lying," giving attitude when I simply asked for an update, and acting annoyed that I even needed help. I genuinely wish I had recorded the call. If this is who answers your phones, fire your dispatcher. The timeline speaks for itself: * Called at 7:30 AM * Got a confirmation text at 8:02 AM saying arrival would be within 45-75 minutes * Tow truck didn't show up until 10:15 AM When I pointed out the delay (calmly), she cut me off mid-sentence blaming the insurance and dryly asked if I wanted to cancel -- after I had already waited over an hour in the winter. Absolutely unprofessional and honestly disgusting. And the kicker? Yelp is full of the exact same complaints. So clearly this isn't an off day -- it's who they are. McCoy Services and the dispatcher wasted my time, my money, and treated me like I was an inconvenience instead of a stranded customer.
