Dick's Towing had one of their operators ILLEGALLY tow my vehicle from my residence July 1st between 2am-5am. They first flagged my vehicle due to an expired sticker so I went yesterday to renew my sticker. At the time of the operator towing my vehicle my registration sticker was UP-TO-DATE, yet he still hooked up my car and drove away with it. At some point the operator realized that my car in fact was up to-date and returned the car, albeit he dropped it across the parking lot not where my car was originally parked to begin with. Every time I have to deal with Dick's it ends bad, their customer service is horrendous and the ladies in the office definitely need to work on their people skills. At the start of a winter storm my elderly uncle's car died along interstate 80. I called several places but the woman who answered the phone at Dick's was the most helpful. She kindly guided me through what to do next and had a truck out to him as soon as possible. It was late Saturday night so no garages were open. For no extra charge they held the car and then delivered it to the garage when it opened. They were fast, professional, and caring. So grateful I found them. read more

Dicks has always responded quickly, charges were fair, and the people on the phone and in the truck were polite and helpful. So this company tows cars, etween they are illegally parked, stuck, whatever. However now due to Rob who didn't feel like doing his job properly, yippy can add they take your car to meet a tow quota. I came outside to see my car missing. I call and I'm told I have no parking permit. I've lived here for 10 years. Always had my permit, never had a problem. It snowed, so this clown decided rather than fully check, he just took my car. Beware of this company. He then said " oops, my bad." Like I'm supposed to be ok not having my car when I come out in the morning. Then he just drops it in the middle of the parking lot. And the best I got was a shoulder shrug and told "mistakes happen". I started my interaction with Dicks by calling them to get information on how to get my car out of tow. The lady on the phone was extremely polite and helpful. Then when I got there the same good customer service continued. They worked with me and compromised when I asked them to, no problem. I was in and out without a hitch. I recently had a major issue with my brakes, rendering my car unsafe to drive. I was in northwest Indiana and needed my car towed to my dealership in Joliet. Dick's promptly answered the phone and had a flatbed to me promptly, considering the drive from Joliet to NWI. The tow operator was courteous and pointed out a visual issue he noticed with my brakes as he loaded the car onto the bed. I was able to communicate this with my dealership, making the subsequent call to the dealership that much easier to explain. Thank you for your help! Please note: I called another "five star" rated yelp reviewed Joliet towing company and left a message, to which was never replied...I even stated to let me know either way if they could run a truck to NWI or not before I called another service. These guys are by far the folks you can trust to help you when you need it. They'll do it with a smile, no matter what time of night it is. They are a class act and will treat you like family while they take care of your car. I couldn't express more how wonderful of an experience I had with them. Don't sit there on the side of the road. Call Dick's. The nicest people will show up and try their hardest to make your day or night better. They'll go out of their way to do it. Had a great experience with Dicks Towing. After waiting 3 hours for another towing company called them and they showed up in less than an hour. Dan was very knowledgeable about not causing more damage to my vehicle. He was also polite and customer service was wonderful! For a place with great service your ways of acquiring cars are disgusting. My car had a valid parking slip. One night got moved to the opposite side of the complex. I get woken up from a friend telling me my car had been moved. I moved it to a different location. Sat inside to see why.. Here comes there tow truck with those sticks to unlock/break into a car. Guy walked up to my drivers side, then left after he saw me sitting there. Only if I was able to catch this on camera I would have sued your asses. How dare you. Then have the nerve to tow my car the next night and say it didn't have a valid slip, it was tampered with... Dated clear for the following week. Terrible. read more

They send there workers from parking lot to parking lot with a flashlight looking to see who got the goods, yeah I was watching and you probably heard the car alarm go off. I guess I was the unfortunate one. When I got there all these people were doing was talk trashing there clientele and even have stuff hanging around there lobby regarding "the idiots" they have to put up with lol these people are too funny because this is the 21st century and social media has a direct impact on your business, be careful what you say and put up because these idiots are listening and it gets offensive. You should of grabbed the beater next to my car that had the smashed up bumper. That was the car you should of towed. Because even though my car was towed, I'm still a customer because I'm paying for those services still. Targeting nicer cars is nothing but poor service, if you see a nice car it probably means they have a family to support and you people are taking food out there mouths and cloths of their back because you hope they can't afford it. It's a twisted system, but I suppose minimum wage is the best some people can do in life go get a real job because that's bs how you think you can bully us and set prices higher cuz you get tangled up in your own web.
