I ordered a set of tires off their website. Both showed in stock, so it is only logical they would ship together. I later found out the rear tire was out of stock, and they only shipped the front tire. No notice received that the rear was out of stock. I have always had a great experience from J&P Cycles. I recently purchased a handle bar for my crusier. I wasn't sure how it would fit. It was a couple inches smaller than what I have, so I figured it would work. I had to mount everything on the bars to find out. They didn't fit well. I was super careful but they got small scratches. Very small but I figured I would check about a return. J&P Cycles took the bars back. What an awesome company. It states that there can't be mounting marks on the return policy but they took them back with a full refund. I will always turn to J&P Cycles first for any of my motorcycle needs. I ordered a face shield and they sent the wrong shield. Fine, I sent it back for a return and I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. They sent a replacement one and it was the same shield they originally sent. I was slightly amused at this point and not really annoyed because they appeared to have overnighted the new one which I thought was great. I contact customer service and they request pictures which I sent to them showing the difference in the one they have advertised and the one I had received. I called and was hung up on by one of the female associates so I decided to resolve it via chat. They requested more photos of the same product and I had to speak with the manager who questioned me knowing which shield I needed. They told me to send my photos again to a technical specialist for "review" which will take 2 business days to get back to me. He got back to me the day after and told me to ship the item back and once it was received they will make sure I get the right shield. At this point I am annoyed but I figure it happens.... Until.... The return is delivered on monday and no response from them. I contact them via chat and they seem to have no idea about the return. She said I need to open the shield and take photos again.... I told them it was already returned and she said after it's been received it will take 5-7 business days to review and ship out. I asked if there was any way to expedite it due to inconvenience but she said she will put in a note but there was "no guarantee". After ordering $340.00 worth of merchandise and two weeks of calling trying to find out why they didn't ship, (the website said they were in stock when I ordered), no one could tell me when it would ship so I cancelled the order. It is absolutely ridiculous it take that long to cancel an order within the same company with today's technology. I have never had such a frustrating experience. My order couldn't have been simpler: 2 Metzler tires. One front, one rear. I ordered in time for a trip only to get just the front delivered. When I tried to chat via J&P's webchat, the representative was completely clueless as to my order. I ended up ending the chat and calling them. I waited for over 10 minutes for them to answer my call that was "extremely important to them." When I finally spoke to someone (and sat on hold another 3 times while they "verified my order") they continued to ask me if my order was damaged. I explained the simple facts of ordering 2 tires, getting only 1. Not difficult- But was still met with continuing questions about if the package was damaged, if other parts were missing or if my order appeared to have been tampered with. About to throw my cell phone in the lake, I continued to respond that the issue was A MISSING REAR TIRE. That I RECEIVED THE FRONT ONE FINE. SEND ME A DAMN TIRE. Finally, they agreed to enter a second order for the missing tire and it "should arrive in 2 days." For whatever reason, they sent it UPS requiring a signature. Like many other reviews for J&P here, UPS is the biggest bunch of morons creating the biggest pain in the ass imaginable. They had no record of my shipment (even though they left an almost legible note on my front door). And when they finally located it, they said it required a signature and I had to miss work all day tomorrow waiting for it to arrive. Not acceptable. Not going to do it. Then after much more arguing, they stated "J&P required a signature probably because they didn't want another stolen tire." I assured the morons it was not stolen, that I had a porch camera recording showing they delivered only one. They continued to argue with me and told me they could not leave it or change the delivery method. After my UPS fiasco, I went back to J&P to chat with a customer service person who told me they couldn't help me with UPs or their processes. That it "wasn't their issue." I reminded them that "getting the $400 items I ordered to me actually WAS their issue." They clearly were going to be no further help and informed me that my only option was to "wait for UPs to try to deliver it another 3 times and eventually it will be returned to J&P and then they can issue me a refund." So now I am out $400, I have no tires and basically will NEVER ORDER FROM J&P AGAIN. Amazon, Revzilla, Dennis Kirk, whoever. I'm extremely pissed, and J&P offered no resolution. read more

I had a front tire installed on a CVO Road glide here a few days ago. There was a nice chrome valve stem cover on, they replaced it with a cheap black plastic one. The front tire was way over inflated and rode like a rock. There was a nice black Harley wheel weight on my black wheel before, they replaced it with standard lead ones and on top of that they did even attempt to remove the old adhesive. Lastly, there is now a front end vibration likely from improper balancing with the wheel weights they slapped on. Would not recommend getting tires here. read more

I have been given the go around by multiple customer service employees of this company. I ordered a part that said "in stock", yet almost a week and gone by and I hadn't received any email about the order even being processed. I reached out to customer service, and they told me that it should be shipping that day. I waited, but of course there was no shipment email. I contacted them again, and this time another employee told me that the original information was incorrect and that it would actually ship a couple days from then, and that I would receive a confirmation when it did. However, here we are again past that date and of course have not received any shipment notification. It is very frustrating and it seems like all these people do is push back everything and just keep telling you to wait and wait some more. I've ordered a number of items through J&P and continue to be impressed with their warehouse technicians (who are actually motorcyclists) and their turn around. I ordered a new seat for my Vulcan. Its a Mustang 1 piece and the CSR told me that it would be processed out of the Mustang distribution center in Illinois (I live in Iowa) so she thought delivery should be quick. Boy was she right - without paying additional, I received the seat the next day! I couldn't be happier. As for all the negative reviews, since I work with a number of customers who run distribution centers, many issues aren't caused by the J&P folks but instead with their suppliers. Yes, they need to resolve and provide the service but in many cases the manufacturers are the issue...case in point, I ordered a sissy bar a while back and it came with no hardware...that's not J&Ps issue but the manufacturers. read more

I tried to deal with JP Cycle twice, placed my order twice and they still are not able to write the right invoice for the Mexican Customs. I paid for shipping via USPS and NOT UPS! Their is a reason why I didn't choose UPS Mexico. 1. They charge crazy high brokerfews 2. Our local UPS in La Paz ALWAYS does deliver damaged parcel, or item are missing etc. OK, let's talk about JP Cycle, their customers service, JoJo and Tanisha S. just can't do their job right, both are not able to write the right invoice which matches the items in a parcel. They did the same crap twice, the invoice said Kiehin and the right word for the brand is KEIHIN! We are talking about motorcycle parts and some "experts" at JP Cycle... If you chat with them, at some point they just end the chat with the message: "I believe the connection has been interrupted" IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME MESSAGE! I had it many times while chating with Jp Cycle for 11 weeks now :( I really hope the founder or CEO of JP Cycle fires this people and get some new ones with the passion to their job. After 6 weeks of waiting I had to cancel my first order, JP Cycle lost 65$ shipping costs for returning the parcel from Mexiko to the USA. It looks like they will loose 65$ again. Check these two UPS trackings and see how unprofessional JP Cycle is! After they received my parcel I had to ask for my refund, I was waiting for another two weeks and they just hope, the customer forgot about his refund. Very very sad people are working at JP Cycle, not just the two ladies, the guys in the warehouse too. I wouldn't even give this company one star. Being a Sturgis, SD resident, I've shopped at their Sturgis location numerous times. It's always been a roll of the dice on if you will get helpful insight from employees or a shoulder shrug and minimal effort. The last straw for me was after buying a cable extension kit for my new 12" apes, I ran into some issues. Essentially the kit that was sold to me does not fit. The throttle/idle cables especially are incorrect, so much so that it would be a safety concern to use them. This kit was picked out by a J&P employee as a direct fit. After taking most of the winter to get the install done due to military obligations and other responsibilities, I reached out to J&P to get help with the issue. I was not seeking a return, only help. Instead what I recieved was techs that argued with what I was experiencing, and blaming the issue on "my inability to install the part correctly". I've had a couple motorcycle mechanics now check the install and verify the issue is with the cables being an incorrect fit. The last conversation was a tech informing me that I am lying, and trying to force the company into a return. If you want to do business with a company who actually values their customers and will actually back their sales up with customer service and tech help, I would suggest you look elsewhere. read more

We went back to the store and the staff was incredibly sensitive to our situation, polite, professional, swift to act, and compassionate. It was a Saturday and beyond slammed busy, but the managers never made it feel that it was a bother and still gave great service to other clients. Our account was credited the next business day. Do not give this company your business. I have never actually written a review before, ever, but I have been put through the ringer over trying to get an answer to where my stuff is. I ordered a SET of saddlebags, received one, and was told they no longer carry that product and they needed to contact the warehouse to find the other one. I waited 2 weeks to get an answer and never got one. Needless to say, I returned the one, and bought another set, which still has not been shipped. In my original first order on June 12th, there were other multiple parts that still say are processing, and when I check on their status, I am told that there is no update. If I could give zero stars I would... I went online to place my first order with them and the had a thing where if I sign up I would get 10% off my order and I thought that's awesome because I had a large order. They send you the code but the code can't be used on over 100 manufacturers on their website, I called them to talk to them about it and they said that they could give me their gold membership which will get me a discount on future orders if I order again (I don't want to order again). Then after I placed an order for almost 600 I checked my bank the next day and they charged me that plus an additional 385. They said the original charge was a hold and that it will be billed as it ships and the hold will fall off. I argued with them over this as they basically stole 551 out of my bank account and they spoke with the accounting department and they said there was nothing they could do and that I had to wait for it to fall off. What kind of crap is that!!! Buyer beware! All this trouble and the only answer I got was "I wish there was something we could do". read more

I had a pleasant experience when I visited their Anamosa, IA showroom. But now I have to agree with the review of Dave C (below). I ordered a Klock Werks windshield on 3/7. Got an email notice that it shipped on 3/8. I checked my order on-line but there was no info nor tracking number. I sent an email to their customer service addy with the promise of a reply within 24 hrs. Zilch, nada reply. I finally found a tracking number on 3/14 saying it shipped on 3/12. I received it on 3/18 via US Postal Service. The label said Priority 2-Day. Not quite. A friend in town also ordered a windshield about the same day. He had many of the same issues, but his shipped UPS and he received it the next day. I will not order ANYTHING from J&P again. There's too much competition out there. And yes, my friends will hear about this very poor customer service. read more

When I called to find out about the missing part I was told it was being processed (for a whole freaking week) and they said ummm it MAY ship on monday smh. Ordered lights for my HD Street Glide. Item description listed my bike for these lights. Didn't fit. Returned lights to J&P, using my own shipping label. They refunded the money for the lights, not the shipping. I emailed customer service to advise of their mistake and they still refused to refund the shipping. I will never buy anything from JP Cycles again. I ordered a pair of winter gloves from them. I received a package maybe five days later. Inside was an invoice with the gloves as the stated item. But no gloves. Instead they sent me some kind of turn signal kit. I called customer service. They apologized and emailed me a return label and said they would ship the gloves. I returned the turn signal kit and more than two weeks went by. No gloves. I called customer service again and couldn't get through. I emailed them and no response. A few days after that I get through to customer service and explain the situation. She sees that the order has not been shipped and next day airs it to me. This was Sunday so I got the gloves on Tuesday. When I opened the package the gloves still had the anti-theft device that retail stores use on clothing. The kind you need a special key to get over. Absolutely rediculous. It took a little over a month to get the gloves. I have had much better experiences with revzilla and will go there from now on. read more
