I was recently about to place an order with this supplier, the amount of of which was well above their quoted offer on their site "spend $200 and receive a $30 discount". I put in all my info and applied the discount code and it wouldn't accept it. After trying several times I called and was told the items I was purchasing didn't qualify for the discount. What a joke.. I had already had a frustrating experience with them the day before, trying to get a straight answer from one of their techs about the fitment of a part they listed. Not only did he have an attitude, as if he was doing me a favor just to take my call, he didn't know sh*t from shinola about bikes, almost as if he was reading off a cue card. When the rep told me I wouldn't get the discount, I told them, "Forget it, you just lost a customer," and I cancelled the order. Attitudes, terrible customer service. After reading all these negative reviews, now I know why. You're better off buying on eBay, or finding a brick and mortar store where you can see and get a feel for the merchandise, as well as the people. read more

This time I threw their catalog away with the brand new part that was trash from the moment they packed it up and shipped it. If they sell a part as stock replacement it should be exactly that. I will never buy anything from them again! I was sold a part from j&p having to pay 25 dollars to ship it and when it arrived it was the wrong part. I spent hours on the phone being bounced back and forth trying to get the right part sent to me, and having different guys telling me they no longer have the part even though I had just received it the week prior, and that they don't know why I want that part for my bike because it's different from the OEM part. I finally get told that the only thing I could do is spend another 25 dollars to ship it back for a refund without the 50 dollar reimbursement for my shipping cost. So I basically would have spent 50 dollars for nothing and wasted a bunch of time on the phone and waiting for this part to finish my bike. Luckily I was able to call the manufacturer of the part directly and they were nice enough to replace it. I will never buy anything from J&P cycles again. What a joke. read more

Best motorcycle store! They've got excellent customer service and are thoroughly knowledgeable. The techs are especially helpful. I've bought throttle cables, clutch plates, transmission parts, gaskets, motor oil, etc. all with the help of these people. The store has a bunch of old motorcycles and custom bikes around the floor which create an awesome atmosphere. It's worth stopping if you're in the area just to check the place out. read more

I purchased a helmet for one of my husband's Christmas presents. They were the only company I could find a 4XL half helmet. Well, the helmet was too small so I had to return. I figured I would get store credit due to the information on their website. I returned it on 1/4, they received on 1/12, and I called them on 1/20 because I hadn't heard anything on my return. I spoke to Ryan who told me the return department stated it had scratches and was not received within the limits of their return policy. Website clearly states 90 day return policy. I'm not sure about their math, but my calculations it was under 60 days from my purchase date of 11/14/2020. Ryan went on to tell me the helmet had several scratches - really - I took it out of the box to make sure it was what I ordered, my husband tried it on and it was put back in the original packing to go back to them. I packed it better than I received. Anyway, I'm suppose to get a full refund of my purchase price, but I have little faith in that happening. I would be good with the purchase price less the return for the item, since it wasn't there fault I had to return the item. I wish I had read the reviews before I made the purchase. Immediatly called to cancel the order or have the shipping charges return back to my credit card they told me they would submit a change order, but that takes 48 hours, and tire will likely ship by then. i ordered a saddlemen seat from here, only because it bypassed the 20 day wait from saddlemen themselves. once i recieved the order i got a seat that had been hacked at with an angle grinder on the bottom where someone had clearly tried to make it fit onto a bike and remounted the bracket with self tapping screws into plastic. when i tried to get it exchanged they said they would only replace through ground shipping once my item was returned, which added almost 2 weeks till id receive my seat which would not work with my time restriction, since my bike is in a shop waiting on only a seat. ill never order through them again and if i knew itd be this much of a hassle id have just ordered through saddlemen instead. read more

This is the worst experience ever...... purchased mufflers ordered them on a Saturday never got any type of email confirmation. Luckily I took a screenshot of the purchase that gave me some sort of web order # on Tuesday still nothing so I decided to contact them. The representative said somehow my order had gotten lost maybe a glitch in the system but didn't see a payment. I had mentioned to her that the payment has been processed and completed. After 35 minutes going back-and-forth she said I needed to email them a screenshot of my bank account where it showed that they had deducted the funds. Even with me doing that they still have not gotten back to me or fix the situation I spoke to Anne in accounting which was rude and disrespectful and made it seem like I was at fault like I was the one trying to defraud them when the proof was in their hands. So now I have no mufflers and out of $400 and trying to still fix the situation. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

While I had the Customer Service rep on the phone placing the order I asked if it was in-stock. She informed me that it was. GREAT! The web site claims that ALL order ship in 1-2 days. I have ordered several items from J&P cycles for my bikes in the past and have always received great service. With a recent order, there was an issue with my delivery. No fault of JP or delivery service but JP was very attentive and eager to resolve the issue for me. They were very informative and helpful in assisting me with steps to reorder and getting item shipped. This was a complex situation too long to explain but I was very impressed with the level of attention JP customer service gave and they called to follow up to ensure steps were followed up on. I just joined the gold club, which was a mistake. I called to order a big bore kit for my harley and the person I talked to had no idea what I was talking about. When I called to talk to someone about this I was put on a micro-soft hold. If you ever had a problem with tech support you will understand. I ordered a set of Kuryakan highway pegs. Website said in stock item. They charged my card and then nothing. No shipping date, no nothing. Waited 1 week then e-mailed customer service asking about my order. I immediately got a response saying I would be contacted in 24 - 48 hours. Again nothing after that. I e-mailed 2 more times, nothing. I tried calling, on hold 45 minutes. I finally gave up. The order eventually appeared 3 weeks later. Thanks for nothing J@P online ordering. Never again. P.S. Not a bad place to shop. I've been there once, and the staff and selection were good. My main issue is the banker's hours that the store keeps. J&P customer service is TERRIBLE. I ordered a windshield that their website showed as in-stock on February 19th. After multiple chats with their service team, no one was able to provide me with a status as to why it hadn't yet shipped. One support agent said she asked her supervisor 6 days ago, and hasn't yet received a response. Another support agent said they're experiencing delays due to a move. This same windshield is available at cruisercustomizing.com, and they will ship it in 2 days.Meanwhile, I cancelled my order on March 8th and am hoping that they credit my PayPal account that was charged on the day I placed the order. I regret purchasing J&P's "Gold Club Membership" for $39.99. They're great at taking money, but poor at delivering the product. read more

Placed an order over the phone with no problem; they were happy to take the money. 1 week later I called to get a status on the order and was told it would take 2-3 weeks for the part to come in. I immediately shopped around and found it with another vendor. I called JP back to cancel the order the next day and the lady tells me she cant cancel the order because the part has arrived in the warehouse. WHAT? She told me yesterday it would be 2 -3 weeks to arrive and now that I want to cancel she cant because it miraculously arrives. I said thats great, when will it ship; I was then told there are heavy delays with shipping so she does not have an answer. So I ordered some apes and cables from them, the call taker said hey let's let a tech look at your order, I eventually placed the order and split the cost between two credit cards. So a day later they charge the full amount 600 plus dollars to my bank card, and then charge another 200 plus dollars to the other credit card. I should say this was in no way half and half but rather 200 plus more than it should have cost. I cancelled the order at this point as any smart person would have. Only for them to return most of the money and then turn around and charge my bank card again 200 plus dollars and send out the exact same order I had canceled four days prior. Wtf I don't want your store credit because I doubt I will ever purchase from the company again. I just want you to stop charging my card for items I don't want and found cheaper on another online sellers website. read more

Main issue they had was their warehouse...and honestly, the customer service reps don't know too much more than what they see on the computer. Stay away!! Place an order for a handlebar kit first part of June. They shipped wrong part, and they have NO idea when correct kit will be shipped. I waited till the night before kit was suppose to arrive to tear down bike. The kit was shipped with wrong brake cable. I have installed all but that line. I call and ask for correct cable , and they say NO idea when cable will be there. But you can tear everything back down and ship it back. I am out $400 bucks and bike is still sitting!!!! Then partial orders ship incomplete. Has happened 3 months in a row now. Definitely understaffed I m currently waiting for cust. service and am past 30 mins. The people there are friendly and knowledgeable compared to other shops that I visited. I haven't used their service department since i'm like most bikers that fix our own. you can tell how good a company is in how they handle problems when they come up. j and p is a good example. vast majority of ordering Ive done there went without a hitch. when my last order came without a invoice (needed for a rebate) I thought this could be resolved quickly. after "talking" customer service twice and a emailing over a month later nothing.
