Matt was absolutely the most amazing calming person I ever spoke to. He took care of everything. Of course I go back out in my car starts. I am bringing my car in - at least I don't have to get it towed ... and Matt gave me a little advice. Apparently if you drive your car less than 50 miles a week it's really bad for your battery. When taking it to another mechanic, he told me that my oil was really dirty considering that you just recently did the oil change two weeks ago so that wasn't something I would want to hear. Not to say my car needs the work, (because before you even started the work, you gave me a car fax report on all the issues which i thought was "pushy". Since that time I have exclusively used Marc's A1A and he has done so many various repairs from reconnecting the duel tanks, replacing faulty original spark plug wires, oil changes, new brakes, electrical issues with fan motor, radiator replacement, water in original gas tank issue and so many other repairs, I have lost track. The bottom Line here is that I get treated with high quality work, excellent pricing and friendly people. I refer restaurants or NETFLIX to people with different taste than mine and we may disagree, however, I have Never had anyone complain that I refer to Marc's. My wife took my **2004 Ford Crown Victoria with only 140,000 miles** to T & D Auto because it developed a strange noise and was smoking. After looking at it, they told us the **entire engine needed to be replaced** and quoted us **approximately $9,000**. **Nine thousand dollars for a 2004 Crown Vic.** Fortunately, I decided to inspect the car myself before authorizing such an outrageous repair. The problem wasn't a blown engine at all. When I had previously replaced the alternator, **I had accidentally left the alternator bolts loose**. The alternator shifted, contacted the belt, and caused the noise and smoke. I tightened the alternator correctly, and the "bad engine" magically disappeared. Since then, I've driven the car **thousands of miles** without a single engine problem. Based on my experience, I have **serious concerns about the accuracy of the diagnosis** I was given. Had I trusted it without question, I would have spent thousands of dollars replacing a perfectly good engine. My advice: **Always get a second opinion before approving major repairs here.** It may save you thousands of dollars. I can only speak to what happened to me, but this experience completely destroyed my confidence in this shop. I will never return, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. On…read moreMonday I picked up my car after having a complete AC system replaced. 30 minutes after leaving, the AC vent was expelling hot air. I called the office, Denise answered and I explained that I was not able to come back today due to the time of day and being far away. I told her that the next morning my wife had cancer treatment scheduled. Denise said come in when you can. Tuesday afternoon I took the car back. It was after 3 o'clock, Denise said there was not enough time to evaluate the car and fix before closing and asked me please bring it back in the morning. She asked me to be there at 7:30am when the owner John would be there. I agreed and showed up Wednesday morning at 7:30. I meet John no small talk, no asking what I did to the car, just professionalism and calm, and he just asked for the key and as soon as he had evaluated it he would tell me. He said the compressor had failed. By 11:00am it was fixed, a new compressor installed at no cost to me. While I was very stressed out, they were calm and always told me they would fix it and they did. These people are trustworthy and honest. They stand behind their work.
