Just when I thought customer service was dead. On Friday I dropped off my car for AC repair. On Monday I picked up my car after having a complete AC system replaced. 30 minutes after leaving, the AC vent was expelling hot air. I called the office, Denise answered and I explained that I was not able to come back today due to the time of day and being far away. I told her that the next morning my wife had cancer treatment scheduled. Denise said come in when you can. Tuesday afternoon I took the car back. It was after 3 o'clock, Denise said there was not enough time to evaluate the car and fix before closing and asked me please bring it back in the morning. She asked me to be there at 7:30am when the owner John would be there. I agreed and showed up Wednesday morning at 7:30. I meet John no small talk, no asking what I did to the car, just professionalism and calm, and he just asked for the key and as soon as he had evaluated it he would tell me. He said the compressor had failed. By 11:00am it was fixed, a new compressor installed at no cost to me. While I was very stressed out, they were calm and always told me they would fix it and they did. These people are trustworthy and honest. They stand behind their work. I have worked for the same insurance company (second largest in the USA) as a Auto Property damage Influencer for 30 years. Last month Oct 2025, I had John diagnose my truck for what turned out to be a shuddering that I thought was a fuel starvation problem. It was the torque converter shuddering. Now I told Denise the number twice. They said the problem was a bad wheelbearing. But because I had it replaced already once it would probably need a hub. I took my 2015 Ford Explorer Sport in because the engine was shaking when accelerating past 45 MPH. Check Engine Code P0174. They told me my spark plugs were the originals and I needed a tune up. I thought I had it tuned in the near past, but could not remember, as paperwork was a hour away in Orlando. After spending $800 for their tune up, the problem was not fixed. The engine was still shaking on acceleration. And after getting back home discovered we already had a tune up within the past year. I will NEVER use Auto Solutions of Ormond Beach for service again. BEWARE. These are amateur mechanics. Only interested in taking big money from this senior citizen on social security. As Jessica G said: "How do yall sleep at night!?!?!?! Do Not use the shop!!!!" ** Post Script in reply to the owner's' reply: That's funny! My wife and I noticed the problem was not fixed as soon as we got on the interstate. As for your statements that I "made no mention of any specific drivability issues other than running rough at times." And "We recommended a tune up IF NOT RECENTLY COMPLETED." Those are lies. (1) I specifically stated that the engine was shaking on acceleration past 45 MPH. (2) and after your people diagnosed, and recommended a tune up, I replied, I thought we had a tune up (at our regular mechanics) recently. Your service manager stated that "those are the original spark plugs." (3) "you were notified that the spark plugs being replaced were a starting point repair and you would need to bring the vehicle back if further issues arose." - No such statement was made to me. I will not be calling to argue these points with you. If you want to salvage your reputation, the only thing I will accept is a full refund. You have my name and phone number. I have an older car that I use to drive to work. On the way in I received an overheat warning. The temperature gauge was reading cold so I figured it was the thermostat valve. After letting it cool down I opened the radiator and it had plenty of water so I was pretty sure of my diagnosis. My past mechanic has finally retired so to Yelp to read reviews. Overall it seamed you love them or hate them but this is a simple problem. After talking with them I felt very comfortable and had them check some other minor problems out as well. Since I work 8a-8p I dropped it off after work and used the drip box. They called me the next day and reviewed everything with me. I agreed to all of the different minor problems and the main one that brought me in. By the end of the day my car was done and I picked it up after work. I never got to meet the manager face to face but feel a great rapport on the phone. Everything done and the car run great. This will be my new mechanic shop when things go wrong with my American cars. read more

How do yall sleep at night!?!?!?! Do Not use the shop!!!! I can't leave a review on their website or FB page so I'll have to warn everyone this way... 2wks ago I took my truck there. They diagnosed and were suppose to fix my ac, paid over $700. I picked it up Friday afternoon came straight home, didn't go anywhere Sat. Sunday I went to drive it again I had no ac and notified Jesse (Jeremiah) James immediately.I literally only had AC on the way home from the shop. Never heard back from anyone so Monday Morning I took it back up there. They were too busy n couldn't check it out til Thursday..... called Wed to confirm a time... now they can't see it til the following Monday.... Monday I go drop it off they have it a couple hrs and call me and tell me there's 2 more leaks that's gonna cost me $900+ to fix. So basically they missed shit when the originally diagnosed, repaired, and double-checked their work and I'm out $700 and still no ac!!!! Because they refuse to refund me, guarantee or warranty their work!!! The owner John Davis threatened me when he realized I was filming him. The sad part is the manager knew me personally through family and I took my vehicle there for oil changes religiously. He knew my situation, things r extremely tight with the economy these days... and Auto Solutions of Ormond Beach has no problem taking advantage of ppl or circumstances. This could be your wife, daughter or grandchild they do this to. Don't send them there, THEY ARE LIARS N CROOKS!!! The shop charged me half of what the dealership wanted to change the speed sensor. I knew the dealership was overcharging, but wow! Also they were straightforward in warning me that before seeing my car, their diagnosis might not exactly match with the dealer said. Fair enough. I took a VOTRAN bus from the shop home and then back (instead of an Uber, which surprisingly wasn't too bad), but if I had known they were going to be so quick, I would've just stayed there and done a puzzle or something! read more

I want to start off by saying it's not a terrible shop, my experience was less satisfying. Customer service by John is good, Jesse eh...not awful and it may be a personality conflict. Misdiagnosed bearing for brake pad in the past...questionable to say the least. I was told that person may not be an employee anymore, which is understandable. Most recently I asked for certain repairs/services to be completed and they were not, like fuel filters. Partially my fault for not checking receipt. (No I wasn't charged). But, the replacement was discussed and it's on the recommendations for 150k service which was discussed. I made sure to address it since my little screen in the truck said they needed to be replaced. Then I see a leak and it's the fuel filter leaking the day after I left the shop...again questionable. This truck is not taken off road so for it to simply and magically loosen is concerning...but hey it could happen. Clean shop, staff don't appear to be tweakers, which rare in this area, diagnostic mistake and oversight on a standard service doesn't sit well causing unnecessary tensions. YES I take responsibility for not checking the receipt but I would expect an issue that is discussed to be completed. For me it's attention to detail or It's the little things that shouldn't be an oversight. Again they're not awful by any means but I just didn't have the best experience for the second time. FAVORABLE UPDATE: Just got a call from the owner, Jon, and though I was expecting a relaitory response to my star rating, I was caught off guard by his desire to make things right and how we could get past the drama of this morning. I was caught off guard and was a bit defensive until Jon told me he was actively making amends. My only desire is for fairness and not to benefit from a bad situation. Jon was straight with me and helped me understand his employee dynamics, promising better customer service through education. I plan to give them a second chance, as I stated below, I have had previously been very pleased with Auto Solutions work. Thank you for reaching out, Jon. My earlier review: WOW! How opinions of a small businesses can change with one bad experience. More than a month ago, while deployed, I called and talked with the owner, John, regarding a suspension upgrade for my Tacoma. Not necessarily a lift, but a leveling job that included my supplied parts (performance shocks, coils, leaf springs, etc.). We discussed the required end state and he was very accommodating saying it wouldn't be a problem. I made am "appointment" via the website for the earliest drop off. I do understand drop offs. It means minimally staffed with one mech working yesterday's jobs not completed and a desk dude receiving incoming drops. I arrived a five minutes early and was greeted by Mark, hard at work on a customer's vehicle. We discussed the drop-off timing of my "appointment" and he was concerned that he would be leaving early this morning leaving one mech on site to do the back up work AND my multiple product install and alignment. He told me, "We don't 7am appointments and the website needs to be fixed.". He also stated that the work probably wouldn't be started for quite a while (maybe 9 or 10?) due to only one mechanic after he left at 9am. By this time it was 7:07 and Jessie, the desk guy, hadn't yet shown up. At 7:15 he did finally arrive and went straight to the bay to talk with Mark. I was finally greeted by Jessie and we began discussing my job. He said he wasn't aware of my "appointment" and proceeded to longingly stare at his computer for five minutes while I described what Mark and I had already discussed and my concern that ASofOB didn't "normally" do work like this and that he didn't "see" that they had scheduled me for today. I showed him the e-mail reminder that came the day before from them of today's appointment. Jessie told me they were "slammed" with work. I told him that I had talked directly with John while on site in Afghanistan to ensure this was something they could handle. Jessie didn't seem inclined to disprove that impression. He also stated that "John makes these appointments then isn't here for the work," and stated John was out of town until tomorrow, so how could he verify what John and I had discussed. I suggested that maybe this wasn't the right place for the job since he was short staffed and my concern with the way this transaction was going that maybe I'd getting better customer service elsewhere. I'm all about employing the small business as opposed to the big dealerships, but I don't throw away my money for bad customer service nor lack of confidence from staff. So, I voted with my feet and will take this and another work, oil changes, alignments, brake work and anything else I would be getting done in the future somewhere else and ensure that you,John, understand that this one experience will have an affect on more than just my choice for vehicle general maintenance. Your employees make or break your business, John. My intent was to BRING you more business (family & friends) after our last work went great, but today burns me, and will not be forgotten. Greatest shop I've ever dealt with. My son went to college in Daytona and I was driving him home. His 2000 Toyota 4Runner's radiator blew on I95 only 12 miles into our trip home to CA. I Googled radiator shops and I called them. It was late in the day and they referred me to two other places that could possibly help. Those places couldn't so I called back and made arrangements to drop it off. They said they would get to it early in the morning. At 7:05 am John called me back. He came in at 6:45 am, found out everything was wrong with the radiator, called 3 parts suppliers for the best price/availability and had a price all ready to go. I gave my approval and he got two guys on it and had it ready to drive out of there by 10 am. I've literally told this story 50 times in the last two weeks. John has a great shop...he gave me a 3yr/36month warranty. Awesome service. I usually do my own work and if I lived in the area I'd be back. John and Chris both exceeded expectations for any kind of service anywhere...much less an auto repair place. I wouldn't go anywhere else if I lived in FL. read more

We are vacationing in Ormond Beach when we stopped at a gas station yesterday, about half a mile after we left the station our truck started shaking and wouldn't start! Jon and the technicians at auto solutions in ormond are the best people to go to for any of your cars needs. They're reliable, fair and thorough. My boyfriend and I are a 1 car household and having a well running vehicle is essential to our lives. We bring our car to auto solutions for everything. Not just oil changes and tune ups but if a light comes on the dashboard for tire pressure, etc I bring it in and they're always here to help. They always try to make time to fix the small inconviences that we face when we start the car and a light comes on. I would recommend them to anyone whether they know a lot about cars or they know nothing. They're honest, and will never try to convince you that your vehicle needs work that it doesn't. They don't take advantage of the fact that I and my boyfriend know nothing about cars. I trust their inspections,consultations, and work. I have a 2011 BMW 135i that had several issues. When I brought it in the dash was lit up like a Christmas tree. They diagnosed my vehicle and called me to explain what was wrong and gave me an honest evaluation along with a fair price. They installed new brakes and rotors, found an oil leak, replaced the gasket and cleaned up the mess. They saw that part of my problem was some bad TPM's and fixed them among other things. I was very surprised how quickly they repaired everything, right before a holiday weekend! When I picked my car up, they were fast and friendly and all my codes were cleared.
