It's nice to have an auto parts store that has a good inventory on hand when you find a few things that you would like to fix while your vehicle is in the shop during scheduled maintenance. I found that my radiator cap had issues after conducting a pressure test on the radiator I thought I noticed a faint odor of anti-freeze the last time I parked my 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ and although I didn't think it was serious I decided to put it on the list of things to check. After doing an inspection of the front suspension after feeling a slight vibration I suspected it was the drag-link but I was happy to find it was only the pitman tie-rod end and fortunately Advance Auto Parts had a replacement part in stock so I could complete the installation while it was still in the shop. This is a great location staffed with friendly and knowledgeable folks and the prices are reasonable. Customer Service Problem: On 11/25/25, I bought a spare cabin filter and air filter for my 2025 Honda Odyssey at the Ormond Beach Advance Auto Parts. Last week, the Oil Change place tried to use the cabin filter, but it was the wrong size. The International Speedway store exchanged the cabin filter and charged me the difference. Afterward, it occurred to me that the Air Filter is probably wrong too. Today, Matt at Ormond Beach Advance Auto Parts said he couldn't help me b/c no receipt and no phone # on file (International Speedway used my credit card stmt). I pointed out, "International Speedway has skills that you don't have?", still unable to exchange the wrong part. I went back to International Speedway, and they exchanged the wrong air filter (like they did the cabin filter last week). The 11/25/25 mistake is an honest mistake, Matt's poor customer service is a 1 Star Review. read more

I've had issues with Advance Auto Parts in the past, at different locations. I went to this Advance Auto Parts location a couple weeks ago. I waited at least 10 minutes to be helped because the employee was playing on his phone. I told him it was unacceptable. He got very rude with me for no reason. I asked who the guy was, who over on the side. He's Joe the District Manager. I said something to the District Manager about this and he turned away and didn't want to be bothered. I'm a Mobile Mechanic and will take all my business elsewhere. I've never had any issues at AutoZone or O'Reilly's. I will follow up with Advance Corporate about this issue. this has happened too many times at their stores and this is not a first time. read more

Watch your directions when trying to get in. It is difficult to get in from any direction but south bound on US1. Other than that difficulty, the staff and the parts are very good. I needed special air shocks for my custom car doors. The guys found the part and even were able to help me find a better lift with more power for the door. I have passed that information to the custom door maker. The parts were not in stock so they had them maid to my home for free. GREAT job. read more

Went yesterday to buy tool to remove oil filter for my boyfriend, at the recommendation of the man behind the counter he gave me the "correct size" oil filter removal tooI for my vehicle. I asked if it did not fit what could I do? He said to bring it back& it would not be a problem. It did not fit, it was too big. I brought it back today and was told "were not allowed to take returns on tools." I did have the receipt, and it was from the day before - July 7th. Good money spent on something I will never use. I highly recommend avoiding them at all costs, especially if the tool may not work for your vehicle and you can't assure it right then and there. read more

I came here looking for a gauge to recharge my AC unit. The clerk, who's name was Charlie, told us that we could return the gauges if they didn't fit our application. Well, it fit, but the gauge was defective, and the certified AC tech couldn't get it to work. When I returned the next day, the manager, a pudgy fella, informed me that they would not accept a returned tool. After realizing that they did not have another to exchange it for, he grudgingly gave me a refund. This place is the exact opposite of O'Reilly's down the street. I would go there instead. I don't know why people have problems here, I always go here and am out with the part I need in less than 5 minutes and they never give me any trouble. But many it's because people don't know they can check online to see the part they need and if advance will have it. read more

So let me tell you about the awesome guys at Advance Auto Parts in Ormond Beach. My battery light in my car started flashing at me on the way to the grocery last night. Now I am smart enough not to ignore it, so I drove immediately to the closest, still open auto parts store. Mike D and C (whose full name I can't remember) were very friendly and helpful, offering to check my battery once they installed someone else's. C did a very thorough battery check and ran off the report, which suggested I had an alternator issue. To be sure, he checked my connections and my cables, all of which seemed to being old order. He looked through their inventory, but they didn't have an alternator for my car. At this point I was pretty upset! He called a local mobile mechanic, who said he would come out and replace my alternator if I could find the part. Seeing as they had no way of getting the part I need before Tuesday, and I had a lot of driving to do before then, he called a local AutoZone that was still open and found they had the part. These guys were so nice and so helpful--even though they were passing on my business to another store, they were still so friendly and helpful and kind, and let me hang out in their store until the mechanic got there. They even offered to let me leave my car there overnight if I wasn't able to find the car. Even though they didn't have the part I was looking for, I can promise that I will definitely go to them the next time I need something for my car.
