After 30 minutes in the customer lounge, I was informed by Service Advisor Joe Kaye that my car needed a new engine air filter and a new cabin air filter. The cost of this service was quoted as $258. Since the cabin air filter ($30 to $40 part) had been replaced just 1000 miles earlier, I was immediately suspect and refused the service. Upon returning home I inspected both filters. It appeared that the compartment holding the air filter had never even been opened for inspection and both filters were far from needing replacement. Reached out by email to both the GM and Joe Kaye the Service Advisor to inform them of what happened and give them a chance to respond. Waited a week and never received a reply or a phone call. Having spent 45 years in the retail automobile business I understand the importance of the service and repair business. What I do not understand or accept is Management not holding technicians and Service Advisors accountable by occasionally checking the validity of their work and recommendations. Am I the only one that they tried to rip off that day?

I called the office, Denise answered and I explained that I was not able to come back today due to the time of day and being far away. I told her that the next morning my wife had cancer treatment scheduled. Denise said come in when you can. Tuesday afternoon I took the car back. It was after 3 o'clock, Denise said there was not enough time to evaluate the car and fix before closing and asked me please bring it back in the morning. She asked me to be there at 7:30am when the owner John would be there. I agreed and showed up Wednesday morning at 7:30. I meet John no small talk, no asking what I did to the car, just professionalism and calm, and he just asked for the key and as soon as he had evaluated it he would tell me. He said the compressor had failed. By 11:00am it was fixed, a new compressor installed at no cost to me. While I was very stressed out, they were calm and always told me they would fix it and they did. These people are trustworthy and honest. They stand behind their work.
