The pizza is mediocre, and the setting is divey, but they have quarter-powered pinball machines, and a real 80s / Ready Player One Vibe, so plenty of imaginary nostalgia for me, and plenty of fun for my son who is too young to be nostalgic. It was just what we needed on a cold road trip night, but I doubt we'll be back. read more

Always amazing!! I fly home from Arizona to just have J&Js and then fly home!! That's how much I love it.

Update to previous review where I felt the pizza was nice, but bland. I had neglected to mention the wife absolutely loves their large salads and dressings which make it her go to place for salads. They also have an ice cream bar which uses a very good brand, which they also sell in prepackaged gallons. Tried the pizza again and it was just 'OK' while the teen boys love it when they visit. The price of pizza everywhere vs the abundance of varieties of canned pizza sauce and dough now at every store has me making my own at home for about three bucks each. It's actually simple, quick and fun. read more

Always great pizza! If you want a very hardy & filling pizza, my hubby & I Love the Kitchen Sink. It is bursting with fillings! We also always enjoy sausage and pepperoni. Solid pizza place in our area! read more

1st time. I'm a trucker, ordered a Gluten free 10" loaded. Great quality, freshness, taste, crunchy edges, wonderful cheat meal for my evening! Thank you to owner and staff for great expectations! read more

Very good food, great prices. We like to call our order ahead for pick up and bring it home to eat. There isn't a lot of room to eat there and in the winter it's cold because the door is always opening. You also avoid the wait if you call your order in ahead of time. Also no one will judge how much of their ice cream you sit and eat after your meal if you eat at home. The ice cream is so good, make sure you take a gallon or two home for the freezer! They usually have young kids (teenagers) working but they are very respectful and surprisingly efficient for their age! We are always happy and full. If you eat there it can be a bit of a wait, they do a lot of carry out orders. read more

Pizza here is good. My kids like it, but they eat anything. I do enjoy the great service they provide though. We've tried the sausage thin crust and it was tasty, I guess. I'm from Chicago so it's hard to please me with pizza. I'd definitely return the next time I've procrastinated all day and don't have dinner ready. read more

We go camping right near J&J's Pizza Shack ( in Demotte Indiana)every year and I always make sure to get one of there meat pie pizzas. It is always top notch ....... Don't miss out . It's worth making a special trip even . read more

Decent pizza. Just ordered the kitchen sink & wife n I really enjoyed it! That pizza was probably a 4 1/2. But this place blows hot n cold , so a 3- 3 1/2 rating is in order. Kitchen sink pizza was very good today , though! read more

Good pizza and they don't skimp on the toppings. I've always used delivery I haven't been in the physical store but delivery drivers are always great read more

Food is terrific, prices are fair, service is pleasant. We ordered occasionally before COVID , but since have increased ordering with home delivery. Kitchen Sink and Taco Pizza are family favorites but we branched out to Pasta and WOW! Lasagna is amazing. read more

We've tried this place 4 times now.. and it's honestly disgusting... the cheese on these pizzas look like melted plastic. All 4 times, even my dog won't eat it. read more

We used to order delivery from them weekly. Loved the pizza, sandwiches, and appetizers. We've now moved, but if they had a slightly larger delivery area, we'd still order all the time. (Come on, we're still only 10 miles away!!) read more

J & J's Pizza Shack is my kids favorite pizza- hands down! We always go for the party size cheese pizza (they fight over the corners) and several orders of fried cauliflower. They serve Valpo Velvet Ice Cream there that the kids think can't be beat. The delivery has always been excellent and the quality first-rate. If you're having a party or gathering of friends for the evening, you cannot go wrong by getting their party size pizza. Best bang for your buck in the region! read more

pizza is always good, but I would like fresh mushrooms not canned . service is always on time and it's a bit bare, no pizzeria aura inside so i usually take it to go read more

This has nothing to do with covid because it's always been this way. You order it because they deliver and open late. Wings gave us food poisoning, marinara sauce in the cup is straight from the fridge, half the time they forget an item, pizza is a soggy mess. One girl even to avoid going back to the store gave us someone else's sodas to make up for it. But we keep ordering anyways. read more

J & J's Pizza Shack - Deep dish all meat with onion and bell peppers! - Pizza Near Me - De Motte, Indiana

Always nice to have decent pizza delivered! We always order the same thing...LG cheese, chunk sausage, mushrooms and onions. Extra sauce, extra cheese and extra crispy. Only problem we have is it's always a little soggy and never crispy. Maybe bc it's delivered? Otherwise, really good pizza! read more

We ordered for pickup on our road trip through Indiana and were not disappointed! The pizza took as long as they estimated ~35 minutes at 9pm. We ordered a medium kitchen sink and it fed 2 adults for 2.5 meals. It was a solid 2-3 inches of toppings and had plenty of meat. We also ordered a medium veggie pizza and cheesy garlic bread and still had leftovers. The garlic bread was amazing. It was the best non-artisan pizza I've had in a long time! read more

Terrible delivery service! Always forgetting something then ask if you "really" want them to deliver the forgotten item. Seriously?!

Cheese pizza 12pcs chicken wings was delicious but dipping sauce was not great but overall the meal was a classic.

Great pizza! It's the best in Jasper County. Closest pizza to the region's best! They are one of very few places to deliver in DeMotte. Only had pizza, but the rest of the menu looks good too. read more

Had this delivered again tonight. Nomatter what we order never sorry! My hubby loves their pizza we love their sandwiches!

Almost always a good pizza and the drivers make me happy. Very kind and helpful. The people on the phone are always sweet and I never have to tell them my address. They have my past orders, so if I forget what we ordered last time, they can tell us. Very eager to fix any mistakes and always hot when we get it delivered to our home. We did get one pizza that had barely any sauce and one pizza that had green peppers when we asked for them to keep them off of the kitchen sink. read more

My gluten free pizza's crust was RAW this evening, so disappointing!!!!!!! I will be back but will ask for we'll don crust

I am in no way a pizza expert, but my pizza would have to be really crappy for me to give it a bad review. We usually order roast beef sandwiches, which are always HUGE and tasty. Fries are regular fries, nothing exciting about them. Sometimes order the kitchen sink pizza which is a big costly, but fills us up and we have leftovers for the next day. Tastes good to me, though I'm not picky. Could be a bit less greasy but overall I've been satisfied. read more

I would give zero stars since we did not even get to taste the food. We drove out of the way to stop here for food. Got there at 8:30, they close at 10pm. The male working the counter saw us approach the menu looking at it before ordering did not say anything to us. Then another lady attempted to order he said they were out of pizza dough so they were closing the kitchen.:: as you can see on the menu they have many other things besides pizza you could order. Especially for not closing for another 1 and half. Not very much hospitality here. read more

Ordered a pizza at 5pm online for a 7PM delivery to have with company. 7:10pm no pizza company here. Company left at 7:20PM. You had one job. Delivery a Pizza at 7pm. Since I pre-ordered to avoid this problem I was very disappointed. Driver was told to deliver other pizzas before mine according to the driver! SAD! $60.00 Pizza order! 12/29/19. read more

I downloaded the yelp app just so I could leave a review about this place. This was just about the worst dinner I've ever had to wait 45 minutes for. 45 minutes and $28 for food I could get from a public middle school cafeteria in 3 minutes. The fries were stale, the chicken was gummy, the salad was just iceberg lettuce with diced tomato slapped on top. I ordered honey mustard sauce for my chicken and they gave me a packet of salad dressing. They also failed to disclose that one of their dishes contained meat. Save your money and grab a granola bar from the CVS down the street. read more

My kids love this pizza. they definitely don't skimp on the cheese. My favorite item though is the breadsticks. Unlike Pizza Hut, The breadsticks or soft and come with some very good marinara sauce and are worth the extra money to get . Also we live relatively outside of town and they still deliver to our area. The staff was personable and made sure I knew about the coupons to help save me some money. definitely our new local pizza joint of choice. read more

Eaten here twice. First time had a sandwich and it was pretty good (3 to 4 stars) service was friendly and fast. The 2nd time I had the pizza and didn't like any of it. The crust, sauce or the tiny bits of sausage. So pizza for me was s 1 star sandwiches a 4. read more

Breadsticks were great although cheese sauce was not. Pizza was great. Didn't care for the green peppers but I'd just order again without. Friendly staff. Ice cream good too! read more

This is my most favorite Pizza in the Area. I love their sauce. Great Grande cheese. Yum. It reminds me of pizza from Tivoli Tap Pizza or Ricochet Lounge Pizza growing up in Gary and Merrillville. Still looking for the exact taste Pizza from my past. JJs come closest. I don't think crust is homemade though? Not sure. Worthy of five stars though. The only thing I don't like is on the Party size or deep dish pizza, the edges of the crust is flipped over on top. I always ask for them to cut off the part of the crust that flips over. They always complied. Great Huge Party-Size Cheese pizza for around $32. OMG Perfection. read more
