Update to previous review where I felt the pizza was nice, but bland. I had neglected to mention the wife absolutely loves their large salads and dressings which make it her go to place for salads. They also have an ice cream bar which uses a very good brand, which they also sell in prepackaged gallons. Tried the pizza again and it was just 'OK' while the teen boys love it when they visit. The price of pizza everywhere vs the abundance of varieties of canned pizza sauce and dough now at every store has me making my own at home for about three bucks each. Pizza here is good. My kids like it, but they eat anything. I do enjoy the great service they provide though. We've tried the sausage thin crust and it was tasty, I guess. Wings gave us food poisoning, marinara sauce in the cup is straight from the fridge, half the time they forget an item, pizza is a soggy mess. We ordered a medium kitchen sink and it fed 2 adults for 2.5 meals. It was a solid 2-3 inches of toppings and had plenty of meat. Almost always a good pizza and the drivers make me happy. Very kind and helpful. The people on the phone are always sweet and I never have to tell them my address. I am in no way a pizza expert, but my pizza would have to be really crappy for me to give it a bad review. We usually order roast beef sandwiches, which are always HUGE and tasty. Fries are regular fries, nothing exciting about them. Sometimes order the kitchen sink pizza which is a big costly, but fills us up and we have leftovers for the next day. This was just about the worst dinner I've ever had to wait 45 minutes for. 45 minutes and $28 for food I could get from a public middle school cafeteria in 3 minutes. The fries were stale, the chicken was gummy, the salad was just iceberg lettuce with diced tomato slapped on top. I ordered honey mustard sauce for my chicken and they gave me a packet of salad dressing. They also failed to disclose that one of their dishes contained meat. My kids love this pizza. they definitely don't skimp on the cheese. My favorite item though is the breadsticks. Unlike Pizza Hut, The breadsticks or soft and come with some very good marinara sauce and are worth the extra money to get . Also we live relatively outside of town and they still deliver to our area. This is my most favorite Pizza in the Area. I love their sauce. Great Grande cheese. Yum. It reminds me of pizza from Tivoli Tap Pizza or Ricochet Lounge Pizza growing up in Gary and Merrillville. Still looking for the exact taste Pizza from my past. JJs come closest. I don't think crust is homemade though? Not sure. Worthy of five stars though. The only thing I don't like is on the Party size or deep dish pizza, the edges of the crust is flipped over on top. I always ask for them to cut off the part of the crust that flips over. Easily some of the best pizza I have ever had. Whenever I visit my in-laws, we always make a point of it to order J&J's. The service is quick when ordering, and we've never had a problem with not having our order prepared on time. We have never eaten in, so I cannot say how it translates to a sit-down experience. I have ordered just about everything on the menu over the last several years and love everything they make except I can not get a 12" beef boat with green peppers, mozzarella cheese and pizza sauce only, NO Au jus and what do I get, my beef sandwich swimming in Au jus, their is so much Au jus that the bun is soaked and au jus floating in the styrofoam container, you try to eat your sandwich and it falls apart and can no longer taste the pizza sauce because it is watered down by the AuJus I did not want, their Beefboat does not say Au Jus & red sauce, it says Red Sauce. Someone needs to teach their employees how to make a Beefboat w/Red Sauce and NO AU JUS as ordered, I have said I want dry beef/beef-boat sandwich and what do I get dry beef and no red sauce & no au jus. Their loosing my business slowly, I have tried to order many different ways to get a Beefboat sandwich with out the au jus & with red sauce, how hard is that!
