How does this place not have 5 stars?? PLEASE support JJ's .... This is hands-down one of the nicest and most reliable tire shops I've ever been to in California! JJ's is incredible. I got a nail in my tire and urgently needed help. Other shops refused to patch it and pressured me to spend over $200 on a single new tire. I was in tears and didn't know what to do. By some miracle, a quick Google search led me to JJ's. He looked at my tire and gave me an honest assessment. Not only did he patch it, but he also showed me the real issue--my front tire was so worn that the wiring was showing. He found me a used tire in excellent condition, fixed the problem, and patched the other tire as well. He was caring, straightforward, and had everything done in under half an hour--for just $100. I left feeling blown away and incredibly grateful. I'll definitely be coming back for more tires, because mechanics like JJ deserve our support. I was quoted $4,200.00 by Haron Jaguar to replace the fuel pump on my Jag XJ. Dealer said it failed and that it had to be replaced. He quoted me 2800 for the same job. I showed up to pick up my car with cash in hand and it was only $250.00. He said all it needed was a relay and when replaced it solved the problem. Beware of this tire shop. The owner sold me 2 used tires, only showed me one when buying them from him. Ended up getting a screw in one of the tires and went to the nearest tire shop, America's Tire, and was informed there was a previous hole with what is called a string repair. This kind of patch is extremely unsafe and NOT recommended in any circumstance. After going back to Jj's and asking for a return for the tire Jj says there is no problem and it is not illegal. My families safety is not a problem? Apparently not to this shop. This is the most repulsive and shameful business a man could run. Please consider your personal safety before trying to find a quick fix. This business will take advantage of you and have no remorse. read more

While I liked the place and the guys working are great, I bought a used tire and 2 months later I had to replace it, as the used tire I bought from them was patch up (normal with used tires) but the patch started leaking soon after. So, used tire was $40 great, but now buying another tire a few months later because the patch they put on didn't hold doesn't make it worth it. Quick fix. Yes, so, good place if you need something to hold you for a month, but since it's only $30 to buy a new tire from somewhere else, you can buy used and cross your fingers, as it's still a working tire, but how long it stays inflated is the questions. read more

Came in here on a whim because of the location. I will now never go anywhere else. I didn't know this shop was capable of so much. Thought it was just your typical tire shop but every little thing I needed done from a general mechanical shop they fixed as well. Had gotten there in the morning and was out by the afternoon. The fastest service in Clovis for the itinerary of things I asked for. They worked with me on the price and were more than reasonable. I'm completely satisfied. We own a small business so we like to support other small business' in town. Took my car in for tires and they dented 3 of my 4 rims. They told me they would order the rim caps (that cover the lug nuts) so I paid them $600 for tires and was assured they would call me the following day. No call & every time I called asking about they said they would call me back and never did. I don't recommend this place as they don't stand behind their work. Sad thing is that I found the caps on eBay and they cost me only $50. Not that bad and had they just stood behind their work I wouldn't be writing this bad review. read more

I came to this place about 5 months ago and got used tires, 2 months later, both blow, the wires are showing. I get them replaced, at the beginning of February my tires blow again, this is the 2nd set now in a matter of 5 months, the wires were yet again showing. Not even ONE WEEK later, one of the two tires I replaced is flat again, I take it to a different shop, the guy tells me that both of the tires wires are showing and it's ridiculous that someone would put such worn tires on a car. 70 dollars for one weeks worth of driving, and the guy hit on me! Very unprofessional and dangerous, I will never return. My alignment was also messed up after they fixed my tire. read more

J & J Used Tires has been my go-to shop for YEARS. I first discovered this gold mine when I was looking for an odd-sized set of tires (which they were the only shop in Fresno/Clovis to have a full set in used, and still beat other shops' prices). J & J is HANDS-DOWN THE BEST VALUE IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY... Once Julio had the car up on the lift, I curiously asked for a quote for front/back rotors and brake pads. Once he told me the price, I assumed it was just for the pair, but then when he told me that was for the WHOLE SET front/back, I asked what else they could do, and they threw in a 4 wheel alignment for a few bucks more. So I left with 4 tires, 4 wheel alignment, and 4 new rotors/pads, ALL for less than I was quoted for brakes alone somewhere else, and their staff is super friendly and professional!! I've used this place twice once for a set of tires for my 1951 Plymouth cranbrook and 2nd for my 2003 Dodge Ram. Both times I called to check availability of tires after a brief hold I was given availability and a price over the phone. I don't remember the price of my first visit but on my latest visit I got 2 Firestone tires 265/70R17 that still have about 60% life left for $70 installed after tax. read more

Usually they are pretty awesome I've gotten several times from them but won't anymore. Found out yesterday that they didn't put the same size tire on. My tires are 195 and they put a 205 on. I needed a new tire fast, and they were helpful but not once did they mentioned to me this tire was a bigger size. Would have been nice to know since it can effect my vehicle. This is the 2nd time I've been to J&Js to have work done on my 2000 4runner. The 1st time they fixed my U-Joints that were worn out for a very fair price. On my recent visit I had them work on my brakes. I was hoping to get away with just replacing the front rotors and pads but ended up needing to replace the rear drums as well. The mechanic showed me my brakes with the wheels off so I knew they weren't trying to sucker me in for any extras. My heart sunk at the news of needing to replace all 4 brakes but these guys worked with me and gave me a awesome quote on parts and labor for replacing all 4. I assumed the parts were low grades but turns out they were mid-grade components. All in all I'm very pleased with the work they've done on my vehicle. read more

This is my first time getting a used tire in Clovis. I was greeted when I entered the initial drive way and the worker was very polite. He told me how much it would be for a good used tire and showed me the quality of the tire to make sure I was happy with the price. It was pretty cheap and the tire was in good condition.
