When we entered, the space was so beautiful. All of the great jazz artists were displayed all over the walls. Checking in was a breeze, no lines and was seated quickly to a comfy booth area that seats 4 people. The waiting staff were helpful and pleasant. They offered recommendations for food and drinks and overall the food was great. Lemon drops were not on the main menu, but they said they can make almost anything if they have the ingredients. The most beautiful male wait staff member changed clothes every time he returned to the floor, he gave us a show of his own honey!!! I get hot super easily so I was happy to experience a cool space inside. The AC was cranked up, so if you get cold easily, bring a cardigan. Entertainment was superb, got to interact with the performer and even met with him after the show was over. If I had to list any cons about my experience, it was the staff constantly going back and forth as I was recording the performance on the stage. I had to cut so many of my videos because someone walked directly across the shot. I know they have a job to do, and they do it WELL! Other than that, I had the best time ever and I can't wait to return.

This 1 (wo)man play was highly entertaining and inspiring. It's a story of self-discovery at a time when racial tension & ignorance were at an all time high. We sat front and center but there is no bad seat in the house. Everyman Theatre has been delivering high quality performances over 30 seasons. They have a professional cadre of actors who perform on a regular basis throughout the season. Additionally, community access & engagement are also cornerstones of this theatre. So as I was looking at other shows and miss thang Benanti was damn near sold out ! I was like who is this lady ? So, I bought 2 aisle seat tickets on the mezzanine level. Now , let's get into these seats. Mezzanine is a great place to sit in the Pearl Theater. You can see from every angle as long as there isn't a tall person in front of you. What I don't understand about the theaters is LEG ROOM. If a show is over 30 min with no intermission , the audience is slowly dying. We are cramped and hoping that the alcohol will soothe the pain. Most of the theater audience is elderly. I'm not sure what center stage can do about it but no intermission is pushing it. What else ? The bathrooms were clean Drinks and snacks over priced. Top me off if the cheap wine is $14 . Parking ? Surprisingly reasonable. The parking garage was $8 Street parking was probably cheaper than that if you could get it. Restrooms were clean and organized. We easily met the $25 minimum for drinks/snacks by sharing some munchies and getting some beers. I really liked their Onion Rings, delicious! And nothing like getting a Stella and laughing over good jokes! The host was kind, welcoming and funny. The acts that followed were HILARIOUS and the main act was so funny! I highly recommend anyone to check out this comedy club in Parkville, we can use more fun, small businesses in the area! This is perfect for date night, a family outing, or an outing with friends.
