They were pleasant, clear about what they were doing and why, and respectful; I was working from home and (without me asking) they saved my office for last, to minimize disruption. This is the first time we've ever had our vents cleaned so I can't intelligently speak to how clean it is compared to other services, but it definitely didn't hurt and it was a pleasant experience, so I'd do it again and with this company.

He did NOT try to sell me anything. He went around to the main intake vent opened it and had a look, we also went to other vents and had a look. Now, these ducts had not been cleaned in well over the 11 years I have been in the house. It was obvious that my ductwork was in need of more cleaning than the special allowed for. We did discuss the benefits of clear vents and they were all positive relative to my lifestyle. After further discussion, and again at no time did Greg try to upsell me. My quetions were answered and after my evaluation, I authorized Greg to complete the next level cleaning. He got his gear, equipment, hoses, cords, etc and began work. It took him a good two plus hours. The interior condition of my ducts was noticably different after the cleaning. I could tell the air flow from the AC better and when I turned the temp back down, it took half the time to cool. He also cleaned out the dryer vent....quite dirty. All in all very satisfied with the service, I am clear for another 10-12 years. Greg did a super job, was honest and tranparent with his professional expertise and I appreciate that. Initially, I was encouraged with Don's responsiveness and was able to quickly get a service schedule. However, that was the only positive experience I had. His tech came out, and left shortly after he started work (removed roofing tiles and drilled holes in roof). I had to follow up with Don several times to get the next visit scheduled (+1 week of playing "phone tag"). Finally got the tech back out, and after a couple hours of work (?) he informed me that he couldn't figure out why the dryer vent was blocked, then submitted an invoice for $600+. Once again tried to follow-up with Don to discuss my disappointment with my experience but received zero response. To say the least, I wouldn't recommend Chimney Cricket based on my experience with the lack of professionalism.

Our initial communications up until the day of the appointment were friendly, informative, and response time if unable to answer right away was fairly fast. I finally committed to scheduling the service after receiving my signed contract from my buyer and we set the appointment for the next day at noon. Hubby has the day off of work and was going to oversee the job. I texted him at 12:20 to see if they were there yet... No, they weren't. I called Tony at 12:45 to ask what was going on. He was very apologetic and was going to send his son out as he was not able to come out in a reasonable time. Heaven knows I forgotten appointments before and been given breaks so I just let it go. But this definitely made the difference between 5 and 4 stars. Hubby texted me at 1:45 to let me know they're there. He texted again around 2:10 to let me know they're all done. I honestly didn't know how long the job was going to take and I was pleasantly surprised it went so fast. Tony gave me a sweep and cap deal and it saved me about $130 versus going with a competitor for the same service. I'm trying not spend any more than I have to on satisfying the repairs request and Tony and company came through. It was a job well done and I am very satisfied.
